After initial installation (which went well, which water authority paid within TEN days and was given to demi in cash) things went south, crappy illegible invoice, refusal to fix a leak (asked 5 times with 3 appts missed!) refusal to replace dead plant and worst of all its hard to believe weed barrier was put down I have so much grass showing threw. Very unprofessional fly-by-nite type operation. Would strongly recommend doing business elsewhere.

Description of Work: Got an initial xeriscape conversion estimate thru these guys and my water authority evaluation. I held off on getting started right away because at the initial walk through Demi was unable to provide much in the way of photos or options or designs, SO - I took some time and did a ton a research and design work on my own and came up with a plan on what I wanted to do and how I wanted to proceed (I have a bigger property). From this point on, THREE times Demi failed to show up for appointments or even text or call to say he wouldn't make it. THREE TIMES a no show, and always the exact same excuse, "I had an emergency and had to go out of town... I had an emergency and and one my guys got hurt, I had an emergency and... blah blah blah." That's an awful lot of emergencies. Is it THAT hard to pick up the phone or shoot a text that you're not going to be able make it for a scheduled appointment? Totally unprofessional. I don't appreciate having my time wasted. I gave it three tries , now I'm looking elsewhere....

The whole job was completed in one day. They came early in the morning to dig out the grass, level the yard, plant the 14 plants, redo the watering system to meet the SNWA specifications. They cleaned up as they went along and more thoroughly at the completion of the project. So far all the plants have survived but Demi has assured us that if they do not they will be replaced. When they left, it looked like the rocks have been there forever. We did have a problem with a cracked pipe and some of the bubblers not working properly. We called Demi Sunday afternoon and he was here Monday morning to fix all of the problems,
Description of Work: Aloha did the conversion from grass to desert landscaping in our front yard. Demi was extremely helpful with the final design. We went with him to pick out plants and he was very knowledgeable about the various species and the nursery. He listened to us as to what we wanted. The people that we had doing the work at the house were very pleasant and there was one gentleman that spoke fluent English which was helpful since neither of us speak Spanish. Our cost of 750 dollars is above what we will get from SNWA. Demi will wait until we get the check from them to be paid that amount. 'We only paid the 750 on completion. His bid was way lower than any of the other contractors that we contacted. He came when he said he would.

WE SEEMED TO HAVE HAD A COMMUNICATION PROBLEM. INSTALLATION NOT EXACTLY AS ORIGINALLY DESCRIBED. PLANTS INSTALLED NOT WHAT WE THOUGHT WE HAD ASKED FOR WE SHOULD HAVE HAD AN EXACT LANDSCAPE DIAGRAM OF WHAT WAS TO BE INSTALLED. INSTALLATION SEEMS TO BE GOOD WHITH ALL PLANTS THRIVING. INSTALLATION WAS DONE FOR THE PRICE OF WATER DISTRICT REBATE WHICH IS EXCELLENT.

Aloha Patio and Landscaping removed my neighbors lawn and installed desert landscaping. I was impressed with their work and asked for an estimate to remove my lawn and install desert landscaping. The owner Demi Mamuad provided the estimate. Mr. Mamuad helped me submit the paperwork to the Southern Nevada Water Authority which led to rapid approval of my lawn conversion to desert landscaping. The conversion started on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 and was completed on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. I watched the entire conversion project. The workers were professional and meticulous in their work. Communication was difficult due to not speaking Spanish, but the workers were patient with me and this was not a major problem. The cost for the conversion was fair and within two hundred dollars of the estimate. Additional expense was associated with our request for larger more expensive plants. My out of pocket expense was less than one-half the cost of the entire project. Aloha Patio Covers & Landscaping, Inc. recovers the other half of lawn conversion from the monetary proceeds recovered from the Las Vegas Water Smart Landscapes Program. You sign an agreement to give the Water Smart Conversion Check to Aloha Patio Covers and Landscaping, Inc. contingent upon the final inspection and approval of the Southern Nevada Water Authority. The company is licensed, bonded, insured, and an approved Water Smart Contractor according to its literature. I am very careful about who performs the work at my home and who I recommend to friends and family. I would, without hesitation, recommend this company. Please do not confuse this company with other companies with similar sounding names. Aloha Patio Covers and Landscaping, Inc.

They took the tree down, got rid of the tree cutting and some other lumber. They are the same people that did our front yard. I called for estimates to put rocks in the front yard and I was not happy with the estimates and the duration that these companies gave me to do the job. They came out and for $900 they had the work done in a day. I think they did a good job and his prices were fair. They have a license and I would recommend them. They also show up on time, especially here. They were also very careful not to drop branches in the pond.
Description of Work: We use Aloha Lawn Service. The last time they were here was a month ago and they took a tree down.
