Did terrible work and then threatened to put a lien on our home to collect the rest of the money without fixing the problems with the work. But the work looked so bad, the offer we got on the home specifically requested the flooring be fixed--and it was brand new!!! Broke a window. Trashed the home. Painted the ceilings with the wall color and the wall color with the ceiling. Installed the doors the wrong way. Put in the wrong trim and baseboards. Didn't properly texture the wall repairs. Put crappy sticker laminate down that was popping up in several places and wouldn't fix it even though there were bumps all over the place. Was a waste of $20K+ and a headache to deal with. Do not recommend. Have photos to demonstrate their work quality. Very shoddy. RUN.

Blue Star Construction saved my garage! We needed to repair some intermediate framing and they went above and beyond. They removed, repaired, and bulked up the framing — while fixing some old mad scientist electrical and building over head storage. We worked with Josh and it was a breeze. JT Blake was incredibly thorough and realistic in his estimates for pricing and timing, resourceful in sourcing high-quality materials at an excellent cost even in these times, was always available for questions, and he and his team did outstanding work on the property. JT has a surprisingly well-rounded depth of knowledge for all aspects of our project which included roofing, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, re-insulation, siding and windows, and much more. Finding a high-quality and reliable contractor in Tahoe is incredibly rare and JT definitely fits the bill. JTs consciousness of our budget and project discipline resulted in a re-sell at a profit. I would absolutely hire JT again for my next construction or reconstruction project.

Very professional from start to finish

5 Star service and construction. JT was great to work with from contact to completion. Checked with me everyday to make sure we are satisfied with the job. He also came to the site often. They installed 9 knotty alder doors and trims and a slider. Finished the job in perfect time. The installers were friendly and professional, even though installing these doors and slider in a 1970s built home was a challenge. They came across some rotten wood and some materials that were used with the slider that crumbled when they removed the existing slider. I could not be any happier with the job and timing of the installation. JT and his crew are rock stars! Much gratitude!

Dependable and of great quality.

Very prompt. BlueStar did exactly what they said they would do. We had multiple projects interior and exterior landscaping which involved removing all the grass, leveling, putting in the blocking and several tons of Mexican stone. I am planning a garage conversion and will definitely use JT and his crews again
