The House Inspector

Bill McDuffee (the main contact and inspector) did a great job on both houses. The mechanical reports were very detailed, clear and with the main problems and recommendations properly highlighted. We showed up during the inspection of the first house, and Bill patiently went around the home with us to show the main issues he had found. Given the house was built in 1948, he spent at least 6 hours with the inspection, and he even called us in the evening to give us a quick verbal review. The written mechanical report followed 2-3 days after the inspection, in both cases. We were positively impressed with the first job and re-hired him again for the second house. In this case, we had already a previous report from a different inspector, but decided to have a 'second opinion'. Bill's report revealed more details and found several more (minor) issues. We gave a B for the price as we have no reference for what a home inspection may cost on average in our area. But we believe that the job was worth the price.
