Vegas Valley Air Duct

The brought his vacuum machine into the house. From there he had a long hose. He went from room to room, opened the air duct and vacuumed it. He was very clean. He cleaned up the dust on the floor falling down when opening the lids of the air duct.

The service tech was great, quick and clean.

The service guy arrived alittle ahead of schedule (unheard of here in Las Vegas), and was very polite and professional. He cleaned the gas fireplace, checked for any gas leaks, and offered to check the gas heating units in the attic. Because my property was purchased as a foreclosure, and because I have never had the systems checked, I had him check it and clean the soot. I will refer and hire again.

They were very professional, called in advance as I requested, and asked me if it was okay to come a little early. Upon arrival, he started work immediately, and finished in a timely manner. I would definitely use this company again.

Did a great job making the fireplaces operational and showing me how the controls work. The house had been vandalized before I purchased it and I had concerns about the fireplaces. I now feel comfortable using them.

I scheduled a call-out for December 12, 2013 for 2.00 pm. Due to circumstances beyond my control I was unable to return home by 2.00. I phoned Vegas Valley Air Duct at approximately 10:00 am to reschedule and was met with a merchant who told me how busy he was and that he has already dispatched his crews. He went on to tell me he has already losing on the "Angie's List deal". He has a very bad attitude and is very unprofessional. I cancelled with him.

We made a purchase for a big deal with Vegas Valley Duct for Gas Fireplace Maintenance. This company seems VERY shady so far and their customer service is HORRIBLE. ---Noon appointment for today, no call/no show by 12:20 so I called to see if they were still coming out. Said they were running behind so it would be an additional hour. ---Then the tech calls, said there was some confusion and they cancelled my appointment, but they could be there in an hour. ---Over the phone, I told the tech that there would need to be a repair and he quoted me $120-----without even looking at it! And this is after I already purchased a $60 maintenance package for it! They had to come out anyway....the least they could do is LOOK at the fireplace before quoting me $120 to fix it!

The employee showed up on time, cleaned all AC ducts from previous owners who were smokers AND had cats to which I am allergic. Cleaned both chimneys (I gas and 1 wood burning) and 1 dryer vent. The ducts appeared to never have been cleaned which meant that the coils are most likely clogged with dirt as well. The wood burning chimney was filthy but the gas burning one was average. This home was built in the 80s so I am glad I had it all done as the air is fresher and the lingering smoke smell is now gone.

I was not home, but my husband says they were very friendly and efficient.

He showed up a little early. he was very professional and knew what he was doing. He got started right away and when he was finished cleaned up any mess that was made.

They are in Vegas and I am in Michigan, I am asking for refund from Angie's List.

Our techs showed up on time and got right to work . They did all the vents in our house and cleaned up. We were really happy that they did the dryer vent as it was completely plugged, we had no idea how bad it was and what a fire hazard . Our dryer works so much better and we feel a lot safer. A very pleasant experience and very nice people to deal with. The coupon we bought was well worth it.

He arrived on time and provided fast, friendly service. After services were complete I felt like the whole atmosphere of my home changed. My wife and I agree, this is a great investment in our home.

I have been hesitant to write this review on this service because of the awkward and what I consider to be an unprofessional situation that happened. I have come to realize that this is what Angie's List is all about. Not just sharing the positive, but the negative too. The worker who came was prompt and polite and appeared to do a fine job cleaning the ducts and the dryer vent/duct. After he did it, however, he suggested an additional service at more cost. My recollection of details is foggy, because this service was performed almost 2 years ago, but this is the general gist... He suggested the service of cleaning out around the furnace itself, to help it to function more efficiently and prevent any possibility of fire from lint, dirt or debris. Well, my BS (pardon) meter went up, not to mention I get annoyed when someone wants to sell me more, and I asked him the cost. He quoted a price that his company charged, which was at least a couple of hundred dollars (again, the details are foggy but I know it was at least that amount). This is the kicker, though. He said he would do it for LESS if I paid him directly. I was dumbfounded. Here he was trying to rip off his employer and most likely me too. I told him I'd pass on the offer and ask my AC guy who was coming in a couple of days to do the annual servicing on my furnace. A couple of days later my AC guy came, I mentioned the above to him and when he checked the furnace out he said it was not only unnecessary, but difficult, if not impossible to do because of the placement of the furnace in the attic. (I don't even know if the worker went up in the attic to tell you honestly). He also said that he believes air duct cleaning is a waste of money. He said that where the ducts really need to be cleaned are so far in the duct that the equipment used does not reach these areas. He has NEVER had the air ducts in his home cleaned. I have used this AC guy at Service 1 Air Conditioning) for 19 years, and I trust him. i'm sure there are differing opinions on this, but I thought I'd share. As for the results of the service, I can't say that I noticed any difference in the air quality of the house, but my dryer was working WAY better.

Unfortunately I wasn't home at the time of the service so it's hard for me to write a detailed review. I was able to schedule an appointment right away and got someone in within a week of making the appointment. My boyfriend was home at the time of the service and he is not great with details, but said the guy was nice and quick. The guy also said our air ducts were filthy and should do the service again next year. We had just purchased the home and it's an older home so this was expected. It would have been nice to be given some sort of report though that had the information written down on it. How dirty is dirty...? Also, it's hard to check to see how clean the vents got, so I really just have to trust they did a good job.

What I liked was when I called them after I purchased it, the remodel on the house wasn't done yet so I asked him if this offer that I had already payed for of course could be delayed until the remodel was finished. He was so gracious about it and was more than willing to go with my schedule so I was very pleased with that. They were on time when the appointment was ultimately made. They didn't make any mess. It’s kind of weird because I’ve never seen it done before, they have this central vacuum that they hooked to one of the air intakes and they sucked it all down to a tube into their vacuum so it didn't make a mess anywhere which I liked. It was an Angie's List special where it was a reduced price and never having had it done before, I don't have any basis of comparison. The fact that Angie's list was offering a deal made it all the better.

This was an excellent experience. The technician that came out was on time, very knowledgeable and friendly, and extremely professional. The equipment was set up in such a way as to not disturb our daily routine and the estimate as to how long the service would take was within 5 minutes of the actual duration. Dirt tracked in (for all of 2 feet) was swept up. Filters were replaced by the technician with filters we'd bought intending to install ourselves after the service, and the old filters were disposed of by him. This might sound unimpressive, but we have severe allergies, and every time we have to deal with the used filters, we end up in hives. This was done without prompting on our part. Scheduling was done in less than five minutes over the phone and unlike some Angies list (or Groupon or Living Social) coupon offers, the individual I spoke to knew just what I was talking about and accepted the coupon code over the phone. I will be calling them again next year when it's time to get the vents cleaned again!

This was a very negative experience. The owner is very rude. I told him that I was referred by Angie’s List and he said, “I don’t give a --- who referred you.” Based on what he said to me on the phone I decided to have him not come to my house. He was going to send a drywall company to my house first and he would come later. I told him I wanted him to come with the company. He started arguing with me and that’s when I told him not to come.

Do it all right the first time and a return visit would not be necessary.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. When they came out they saw that I had two air conditioning units so that doubled the price. It was fine; I apparently didn't read it in the fine print. They did let me know that the coil in my attic needed to be vacuumed as well and they said they threw that in for free. I was curious after they were done so I peeked my head up into the vents and they were clean as a whistle. I have a little over 3,000 square feet and it took them a little over an hour to do the work. He showed up on time. He was very professional and very neat. He wore little booties on his feet. He did an excellent job and he was good to me. Had I known it was that expensive, I might have looked around a little more. He was very responsive. He was right on time.

I am impressed not only with the equipment the provider possesses but also with the service. The airducts are very clean & the air is refreshing after cleaning.

Overall, the service was excellent. I will recommend him. Good Job.

They came, they inspected, they cleaned, they left, we're happy.

The kid was a nice and good worker, he did his stuff and for what they did, they did a good job, but they didn't fully do what I wanted them to do, but that was my fault because I didn't ask. They cleaned all the vents and they were very personable. Had I known they didn't use the t.v. camera to see what they were cleaning through the vents and had I not had vaulted ceilings, they maybe could have hooked up their equipment differently and it could have been more beneficial. I imagine for a regular application they would have been very good.
