Technician serviced and cleaned the fireplace. It works great.

The worker showed up on time. He opened the fireplace screen, moved a couple of logs, replaced the logs, lit the fireplace, turned it off and closed the screen. Then he said he had to go up on the roof (for what purpose, I'm not sure.). He came back in after a few minutes and mentioned something about my heater that needed to be replaced. I'm not exactly sure why he was looking at my heater since that wasn't part of the deal. Then he started to leave. He was at my house for a total of about 15 minutes, most of the time on the roof. I showed him the deal I purchased that stated he was supposed to inspect the fireplace (which he did, but that was all he did!); clean all major parts such as the burner system, firebox, gas logs, pilot assembly, thermocouples, burner pan, etc.; clean all glass and do a safety inspection. I might not know what all the technical terms are but I know what it looks like when someone is cleaning. He came empty handed and the only thing he did that mimicked cleaning was wiping my glass door with a dry paper towel. When I asked him about all the other things that were supposed to be included he said they weren't and that he wasn't going to do it even though I showed him the list of things on the coupon I had purchased. I'm done with Vegas Valley Air Duct. I would never recommend or use them again.

.It went okay. I mistakenly thought they would clean the whole fireplace but basically they just cleaned the chmney. Since I didn't crawl up there to inspect the chimney before or after they cleaned it I'll have to assume they did what they came to do. On the positive side they showed up on time and got right to work. They were friendly and courteous.

He went above and beyond telling me what I should do to keep my furnances working longer. He provided me with ways to maintain my system and a timeline of when to request future service.

I own a vacation home in Las Vegas. We scheduled the appointment for the only time we they could make it, Saturday Jan 11, 2014 at 11:00 am. As we had renters staying at the home, my home manager gave specific instructions for the service person to meet and wait for her the home at 11:00am so they could go into the home together and not disrupt the renters. My home manager showed up at 10:45am and waited until 11:20am with no sign of service person. She then called the company. She was told the fireplace tech got there early and had already been did his work there. The fireplace tech then called my home manager and said the fireplace was broken. We explained we knew we had an issue with the pilot going out and wanted to know what the problem was. We were then told that the fireplace or timer was broken and that their company only cleaned fireplaces. My manager explained that we already knew there was an issue and that is why we called them and wanted to be there with them so they could diagnose the problem and help us get it fixed. Per the contract and website this is written Any additional repairs/replacement part requirements identified will be diagnosed and priced for approval prior to initiating further work. So now we don't know if anything was done, if it was even cleaned, was thermo-couple checked etc. We never got a write up or report. We now have to call a new fireplace company to do what we felt this company was supposed to do. The cleaner was also very unprofessional to my home manager when she questioned this whole process. I would not recommend this company for the above reasons, even for cleaning. 1/20/14 My home manager just had another company come out and before he even started she asked him whether the fireplace was cleaned or tuned up. He chuckled as he showed her not even the basic cleaning was done. He then cleaned the fireplace and she said he had to go wash his hands 5-6 tim,es because of the amount of dirt. Also he found a a very serious safety issue with the way it was wired and where the start box located. Valley Views flyer that I purchased this special from states $59 for Gas Fireplace tuneup cleaning, inspection and safety inspection. I really don't think your service person did anything on the fireplace at all and do not intend to pay for this service. I have also sent a copy of this review to Valley view before I posted it, to let them make sure it was accurate or contact me. I have had no reply.

He looked at our gas fireplace and attempted unsuccessfully to light it. He then did a very cursory and incomplete job of cleaning it. The job was supposed to include a safety check of our gas furnace but he didn't offer to do this, and we didn't ask him to. After that, we contacted Young's Plumbing and they did a good job of determining the problem with our gas fireplace.

So qui that I wondered what he actually did.

When the technician said he was finished, I asked him about cleaning the rest of the fireplace. He said that what he had done was all he was supposed to do. I told him there was a lot of dust that needed to be cleaned but he insisted that the cleaning of the switch and connectors was all he could do. After inspecting the furnace, however, he mentioned that there was "a lot" of dust in and around the furnace elements which should be cleaned. Because he said there was a "lot", I asked him to take a picture and show me. He took a few pictures and from what I saw there was very little dust. He said he had run his finger across the dust to show me the layer was thick, but I didn't see that in the picture. Clearly, he was trying to "upsell" me to purchase an additional service. Interestingly though, he said he wanted to "help" out his client and offered to come back and do the cleaning for 1/2 of what his company would charge me. I asked him how much he would charge. He offered to come and clean it for $90. I asked what his company would charge and he said they would charge $180. I didn't allow him to do any cleaning on the furnace, but he did leave me his direct contact in case I wanted to have him come back. Very shady. I let him know I would speak to my husband. I contacted the owner of the company the next day to discuss the fact that his technician had not thoroughly cleaned our fireplace. I was told by the owner that this particular technician had always done a good job and he was surprised to hear my complaint. He said he would talk with the technician, ask him what work he had done, and call me back. I have not heard from the owner for 16 days. I would not use this service again, nor would I recommend them to anyone because they do not provide the service they state in their description of service. The price would have been fair, if they had completed the cleaning that was expected. I was very disappointed with the company, their technician, and the owner.

Purchased a $59 Fireplace cleaning and inspection Guy shows up and shines a flashlight and says that yes it needed to be cleaned. He told my husband taht "if we wanted it cleaned" then we should call him directly because he would us a better deal than the company. Really!!! the deal was for the cleaning which he didn't do.I sent an email to company and received no response so I tried calling the owner. He was just so busy he just wanted me to schedule an appointment. When I called to tell him I could not make that date he said that he was really busy so try calling him next week. Busy is good, brushing off a paying customer not so good. I paid in advance for this service and now feel I am in his way. I just want my money back, and i will go somewhere else to get some service.

It went very good and I appreciated the honest opinion from the repair man.

Never having used a gas fireplace before, I was concerned about some odors when the gas fireplace was burning. After turning on the fireplace, the provider checked for gas leaks by spraying a solution of soapy water on the gas pipes. He also inspected the brickwork for cracks. He assured me that there were no gas leaks, no unusual odors, and no cracks in the brickwork. For the price of the service call, it was gratifying to be reassured by a professional knowledgeable about gas fireplaces that ours was safe to use.

I wanted to speak to someone to set up an appointment. Not play telephone tag.

He was very quick and very clean. He did a very good job. He was very good at not getting soot everywhere. He used a very strong vacuum cleaner. He was working in a very confined space. There were no additional charges. There was nothing bad. He was very cautious about it, knowing that there was going to be a lot of soot. They clean it from the top and then clean from the bottom. They stayed with in my budget. I think that I got a really good deal. I would use them again.

I was very impressed with the company and the service. I would highly recommend this company to others and will use them again when the time comes

The young man showed up promptly at 9:00 so I was impressed with that. When he came in I told him that I had new fireplace logs but they weren't installed yet, he said no problem he would install them. He then told me that I needed the gas hose, I told him that I had the kit with all the parts. He told me he had to go to his truck for a tool. When he returned he said he didn't have the proper tool to do the work. I directed him to my tool box to see if I had the tool he needed. After checking the tools he said I didn't have the right tool. Then he told me he would give me the number of someone who could install the logs but I would have to pay him separately. Then he said he would check my chimney. In less than 10 minutes he came back and said my chimney was fine. I never heard him on the roof. It seems to me that it would take a few minutes just to get his ladder off the truck. He never said or did anything about the furnace. I feel like I paid for this deal and got nothing in return.

It turned out fine. I was happy with them. They were here on time and they did what they said they were going to do and did it quickly. In other words, I got what I paid for. They cleaned up fine. The price was comparable with what I paid before. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and did it well.

Excellent, knowledgeable employee was helpful and efficient. Highly recommend.

Chimney needed cleaning badly, according to workman. It had not been cleaned in twenty years, which I can attest to. Workman vacuumed in front of stove before leaving, but much vacuuming remained to be done by us to get all the soot out of the brickwork. Otherwise, punctual, friendly, reasonable price with Angie's Deal.

It turned out fine. I didn't have any dislikes. They were fine. They were prompt and courteous. They explained everything. Everything was just fine.

Wonderful. The owner was extremely accommodating and was able to schedule the service for the same day. I was astounded. I thought for sure that I would have to wait until after the holidays. The technician was punctual and professional. He performed the service with skill and did not leave any mess. In addition, he was more than willing to answer my questions and show me the best way ro start the fireplace. I've already recommended them to my daughter.

Read the fireplace tune-up description carefully - then compare with the following service I received. Repairman arrived @ 9:05 a.m. (when originally scheduled I was told it would be between 10 - 11:00). My f/p requires lighter to start it - it's not automatic. Repairman brushed back the artificial "ashes", brushed off the metal where the gas flows, lit the fireplace and said everything was fine. I said that I thought f/p was slow to light - he turned it on and off two more times in rapid succession - again said it was fine and left. I doubt he was here 8 minutes. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SERVICE.

Everything went great. He arrived on time and was very efficient. He went up in the attic to check the furnace and he even replaced my filters. The gas fireplace has not looked this good in years! I will use them again!

The process on the first order was unsuccessful, yet it went through without my knowledge. I repeated the entire process of ordering and completed the process successfully. Then I received 2 messages on my email that I have 2 orders . . . . Unfortunately they never contacted me on my cell as I requested to schedule the service. . Called the Customer service, Craig (Angie's List Rep) offered me if I still wanted to use their service. I refused Craig's Offer. They didn't even bother to call, Why bother having them to do the task. . . Not a chance. I'd rather to pay more to get better service Thx- Nur

It went well but the pilot light went out again right after he left. I called him back to restart it and to train us on how to do it.
