Vegas Valley Air Duct

The person who worked on the fireplace did not do the furnace as promised but I did not realize it until after he had left my home. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed that we both had forgotten about it. I was with the tech the entire time so I am absolutely positive he did not check the furnace; he would have had to go into the garage to do so, which he did not do. When I called the company, the contact said that the tech had checked in and told him that he had done both the fireplace and the furnace. I asked why he would have said that when he clearly had not even been in the garage where the furnace is located. The company contact said he did not understand because that tech was very good and he never had issues with his work. The contact made arrangements for another person to come out the next day, so he was very responsive. The tech arrived on time and finished quickly. He opened the front of the furnace, looked at it without touching anything and told me that my furnace was very dirty, which did not surprise me. When I told him that I would have it cleaned over the summer, he offered to do it that day at half price. I wasn't sure if I would be dealing with him or the company, which made me a bit uncomfortable. I will say that the tech who worked on the fireplace was very pleasant and my fireplace does look much better. He was able to identify a problem with the switch which I will have corrected. Not doing the fireplace may have been an oversight on his part and he actually thought he had done it. If I forget about the furnace issue and think only of the value of the service, I would not have paid any more than I did for the work that was done.

The service turned out very good. They were able to set the service up within a couple of days. He was very professional and they did the job that was needed.

The service man arrived early. Love it! He cleaned and inspected the fireplace as requested but also took the time and trouble to educate us about operation details. He was professional, clean, neat and knowledgeable.

They were excellent. I had this done previously by another company, which I don’t recall the name, and I never saw a difference in the amount of dust that the vent was disbursing but I truly saw a difference with this company. They were professional and they did a good job.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased and I purchased 2 of them. It was okay. I bought additional service that wasn't part of the deal for him to clean the furnace because he said it was dirty. The downstairs fireplace wasn't working and he didn't take out the glass. He was a loose wire and he fixed that. He didn't go in and clean it up like the ad said he would. I was happy that it started to work. I asked him about the glass and he said there wasn't anything he could do to fix it. Upstairs there were finger prints on the inside and he turned it on to see if it was working. I had to end up asking him to clean the glass and he did but only because I asked. He didn't do anything else. At that point, I just wanted him to leave and they were starting to work. He was here on time. They didn't do everything they were supposed to do that was in the ad and I had to ask them to do it.

It went very great. I recommend them highly. I like the professionalism and the fact that the individual knew exactly what he was doing.

Everything thing turned out good. The technician did a great job. He left our home in good order.

The deal I purchased was for an inspection and cleaning of a gas fireplace. Although Vegas Valley Air Duct was prompt in responding and in setting up an appointment, I didn't realize until later just how lame their service was. My pilot light was out and I asked the service tech to fix that, which he did, but he didn't catch the underlying problem (more on that in a bit). I never really saw the tech check anything on the fireplace other than the pilot light. I had to ask him to clean the glass (I have a 2-sided, enclosed corner fireplace), and even then he only cleaned one of the glass panels rather than both. This week (April 8) I had a baby bird caught in my fireplace and called Silver State Fireplace after getting a quote of $150 from Vegas Valley Air Duct just for a service call. I called Vegas Valley because neither me nor my neighbors could figure out how to unlatch the glass panel from the fireplace, and I knew that the tech from Vegas Valley would know how to do it. But after getting such a high quote, I called a competitor listed on Angie's List. Silver State was wonderful, and in the course of freeing the baby bird the tech did a complete inspection and cleaning of my fireplace, even though that was not the original purpose of his call. Through this experience I realized just how much I had been ripped off by Vegas Valley Air Duct in December. The Silver State Fireplaces tech discovered that there was an underlying reason the pilot light kept going out, and he fixed that. He also discovered a small leak in the gas line and fixed that. He did a complete cleaning of all glass panels. And all of this -- an emergency call for the baby bird and the unexpected full servicing of my fireplace -- came to only $95. I will NEVER use Vegas Valley Air Duct again. f am truly disappointed that Angie's List featured a daily deal from such a shoddy company.

The 2 guys who checked my Fireplace were very nice. However I was told that I needed a bigger gas line to get higher flames in the fireplace. The windows were cleaned ant that was it. No offer to install the needed line was made and I didn't need my furnace checked since I just had that done.That was my mistake for not paying attention to the offer to begin with. I will be more diligent before I take advantage of another Angie's purchase. I live on a tight budget, so most services offered are beyond my capability to pay for them.

The tech was obviously inexperienced. He flipped the on/off switch. He said there was some sort of short in the fuse, but said he could not fix it. When I asked him what he did (because I saw he just turned on a switch) he said that's all he does. There certainly was no cleaning and no safety check. He told me I needed an electrician. I was really disappointed.

I was relieved to know that it is in working order.

The technician that came was very professional and helpful. He even cleaned the fireplace for me. I just bought my house, so it was nice to have a professional get me set up to use the fireplace in my new home. They recommended a cleaning, which I agreed to, and that went well also.

The owner of this company is extremely rude and unprofessional. They were supposed to call us to set up a time closer to the date that we wanted. They never called, so on the morning that we were supposed to have service, my husband called them and was treated really rudely. The guy claimed they did not have a phone number for us, but Angie's list provides that and I remember giving him one when I set up the appointment. After the service technician was already in our house working, the owner called my husband on the phone and began to chew him out for keeping his technician waiting at the security gate. ...the technician was already working in our house; it was weird. The technician was very friendly and did a great job. One of our air ducts is unattached, so he call the boss to get an estimate for the job. The owner wanted $300 just to attach some ducting in the attic!!!! I would DEFINATELY NEVER use this company again.

Great service. Came within hours of making appointment. Diagnosed problem with slow/non-starting, fixed it, as well as gave good preventive maintenance tips for the future.

Cleaned and inspected fireplaces--OK. Found bad fan in one of the fireplaces and technician was to have parent company call and discuss repairing or installing new fan. Never got the call.

The technician was Fernando. He was great! Cleaned and serviced the fireplace then inspected the furnace. Work was efficient and he cleaned up after himself.
