Description of Work: This is one of the best experiences with a contractor we've had! We went to their showroom in Las Vegas to see the solar equipment, we were approved for a loan & scheduled installation within a few hours. Price is very competitive. Installation went very smoothly. Everyone has been on time & within weeks our new meter from Nevada Energy was installed. Eugene assisted us and he was excellent! He is so knowledgeable in this area & assists you throughout the entire process. Based on our experience I would give them an A+.

Description of Work: We set up our appointment and meet with Jason to install a sliding glass door. He was great in presenting his products to us. We signed a contract with him for the amount of $1200. A few days later we received an email from the owner. He asked us to e-sign the contract again. Only this time the contract was in the amount of $3600. We phoned the owner and he stated that they quoted us the wrong price on the contract that we signed for $1200. He stated that it was a mistake, but would not honor the original contract of $1200. We feel this company tries to rip people off by charging one price up front then asking more money for the same project later.

To whom it may concern, I want to first mention that we do not have a customer or potential client under the name of [Member name]. We do have a gentleman that works for our company named Jason. So I believe this is Mr. [Member name]'s review of our company. Jason has only been on one appointment since he has been with us, so I am sure he is referring to Mr. [Member name]. Now when Jason came out to your house he mistakenly under bid your project for your 8' sliding glass door monstrosity that you wanted replaced (He is still in training). We had an abundance of appointments that evening and all of our seasoned sales reps were on other appointments. Instead of rescheduling your appointment and wasting your time we sent Jason. We at Universal Windows Direct take full responsibility for not sending a more experienced representative to your residence and fully apologize for this miscommunication. You asked us to use your credit card for the original purchase in which we never accessed knowing that the job could not be done. I called you the next day and you verbally agreed that the price that Jason gave you was too good to be true. My operations manager offered to do your job at our cost which was not near the $3,600 that you claimed we sent you electronically. At that point you then said that you appreciated our honesty and would get back to us within 48 hours. The only response that I have received from you is through your mother’s Angie’s List Account who was not present for anything. Now with that being said we have no programs that I the owner am aware of that have the ability to send out an e-sign contract so I am baffled by what you are talking about. If you have any documentation that would validate your statement about the e-sign I would like you to forward it to my e-mail so I can rectify the situation. TMOEBIUS11@GMAIL.COM. You have your right to your opinion and I will tell you one thing we have never ripped any of our 3,500 customers and have taken care of them since day one as if they were family and we will continue to do so from generation to generation. I will take this into consideration and learn from this miscommunication and fix any inefficiencies as they come. Description of Work: I was not ready to do windows this year, something the door to door solicitor didn't want to accept but did in the end. Very stubborn. Sales people from the office where very polite and professional. They have good reviews in Angie's List, so when I am ready to do windows I will certainly give them a shot at my business. I did not use this provider at this time.

Description of Work: I had a large 8' x 8' sliding glass door removed and 8' tall French doors installed in the space. They built a 2' wall to finish off the opening. You can't tell where the new section of the wall starts and the original wall ends. Especially matching the finish both inside and outside along with the paint color outside that was old. I was very impressed with the tradesman. Both the installer and finishing crews were top notch.

From estimate to install, this company is great. They showed up which is a plus in Las Vegas! The installer was professional to a "T" and cleaned his work area afterward. Beautiful product.

Salesman was very nice and the company delivered what was promised. Installation was done in less than 4 hours with minimal mess. No complaints. Will probably replace more windows in the future.
Description of Work: Installed 5 Windows. We were looking to reduce noise from a busy street side of our home. These windows definitely helped do that. The replacement widows were high quality. Much nicer than the builder grade ones installed.

The salesman, Cody, came to the appointment on time and well prepared. He demonstrated the features of the windows with flair, showing knowledge of installation and performance of the windows. We ordered 15 windows to replace all of our windows. When the windows arrived, having been custom made for our home, with correct dimensions, we made an appointment to have them installed. The installers, Todd, Trent and Jill arrived right on time and began working. They worked together seamlessly, with each having a part of the installation to accomplish. They were pleasant and proficient. They began early in the morning and were finished with all but one of the 15 windows by early afternoon. I was astonished at their ability to do such a great job in such a short time. The one window they didn't install that day was a five foot tall differently shaped window in the front of the house. They came back the next day to install it. It's very hard to describe that window... it has a rectangular bottom and a quarter round top, but it's all one window. I took a photo of the before and after of that window, but the photo won't transfer to Angie's List. Our neighbors have complimented us on the beautiful windows. The outside is amazing... the windows all have a nice wide white frame around them. Our 25 year old house looks much newer now. We are thrilled with the upgrade of these new windows and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing new windows.

In their defense, after the owner (Teresa) read my review she called me and said she had no idea I was so unhappy and made an appointment to come to my home herself to evaluate the situation. She came out and saw the transom and agreed it was incorrect and very apologetically promised to remake it at no cost to me, maybe " the 3rd time's a charm ". I just wanted to share this with Angies List and potential new consumers, the company does stand by their product, it was just a matter of miscommunication. I didn't know when I sent pics and expressed my unhappiness that the phone number I was sending to was a land line and my complaints were not received. Description of Work: Ordered a sliding door for my kitchen. After waiting approx. 6 weeks they brought the door only to see they had it opening from the wrong side, huge mistake all they had to do was follow the way the old one was opening. About two weeks later they brought the new door installed it, but the top part which was a transom with a diamond grid was not even, they said they would have to make a new one, they did and it was also incorrect, frustrated I took the door transom told them it was still not even took a photo sent it to the owner. Paid for the door even though I wasn't happy, they cashed the check the same day, I think they ran to the bank afraid I would change my mind. After all that the installation trim on the out side fell off still waiting to have that fixed. Would not recommend this co. to my worst enemy!!!!

We, at Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas take customer feedback, whether positive or negative, and use it to eliminate any inefficiencies we may have between company and consumer (We are constantly learning, growing and innovating). I also want to personally apologize about the defective grid pattern in your transom. Now [member name removed] the representative told you that your sliding glass door with transom had a longer than average lead time because of your diamond grids. Sorry about the inconvenience with the door being ordered backwards; but keep in mind we had it installed correctly 4 days later. Now with the defective diamond grid pattern transom we understand that it was a manufacture defect and we ordered you a new one prompt. We had it expedited straight from the manufacture as quickly as possible with top priority. As soon as we received the transom from the manufacture we had it installed. The third transom has already been ordered and we are awaiting patiently. Now about your payments. Your first of three payments was a deposit of $1000 upon agreement. Once your sliding glass door and transom was initially installed you paid an additional $2000 leaving you with a balance of $1500. We also received a completion certificate that was signed and dated with you stating, "factory did not make diamond grid properly - needs to be centered to match at both ends." You also stated and initialed, "Balance of $1500 when transom is delivered and installed to customers liking balance will be paid." Now when we installed the second transom you paid the remaining balance of $1500. [member name removed] I apologize, but I made the assumption contingent of what you had initially put on the completion certificate, that the transom was to your liking. We never received any pictures because our LAN line office phone does not accept text messages or pictures. It's a shame that the only way I knew that you were not satisfied with your second transom was through your Angie's List review. I wanted to also take time to personally thank you for having my installer and I over to your house to take pictures of the second transom. Those pictures have been sent to the manufacture and your third transom has already been ordered. I will make this right by any means necessary. The Sales Rep, Cody, was very knowledge about the product and the competition product quality and pricing. These windows were expensive, but not nearly as high as I estimated it would be for the best quality. The Installer, Todd, and his crew was on-time, efficient, and clean up was great. The job was done in about 2 hours! We love the new windows!! We highly recommend this company and their product, they were very professional from start to finish.
