THISTLE DKI

In my opinion, they lack in every category. Would not hire them again. Appliances were damaged which they refused to responsibility for causing the damages.

I had a horrible flood in my house that destroyed the ceiling down stairs, the floor and floorboards. Upstairs the laminate had lifted in my bedroom and closet and what was left is still sitting on the floor. One cabinet is ruined. Liberty Mutual sent a girl out to "evaluate" the damage and said she knew a guy who could put the house right. So, she shows up and the estimator is 35 minutes late. The estimator from Thistle, Alex did not measure anything, take notes or ask any questions. When I called him for his bid, he responded by saying that actually there was no bid. He and Alyssa from Liberty contrived the deal between them. He stated that Thistle DKI is an "approved vendor" for Liberty Mutual. So, contrary to what I was led to believe, Alex was not ever planning on actually having the work done in my house and he had no intention of providing any level of service to me, the policy holder (for 26 years). He and Alyssa cooked up the most insulting "estimate." Perhaps this company does quality work, I'll never know.

Overall it was excellent work and all workers were professional. the project manager was a good communicator and keep up to speed every step of the way. As for cost I am unsure - would guess it was closed to $8000 - I paid my deductible (500) and insurance company issue check to thistle DKI.

Everything went smoothly, replace carpet, base boards, painted, etc. I paid my deductible and insurance company sent check to Thistel DKI directly.

If you want to feel violated and have items stolen from your home this is the company for you! This company performed a dry out for me when my house got flooded due to a broken pipe. They also decided that taking my 14k rose gold champagne diamond ring worth over $1500 was suitable too, along with my rose gold watch. I am furious!! I have never had such a thing happen to me and a well known company like this does this! They said they are going to do some investigating, but I will be taking this matter MUCH further! Police has been notified and I will be calling channel 13 as well. You don't do this to another human being, especially since I am already devastated from my home being flooded! Do NOT trust this company and do NOT ever let them in your home when you are not there. They knew I was in a hotel so hard telling when they came to my house and took these items....I'm sure I will notice more belongings missing along the way..... STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Update. Watch that my deceased father gave me is missing as well. This company can burn in h*** for all I care! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!

They were good but I didn't like the way they finished my shower. I think there were poor connections so the water might go back again because of the opening. I had water damage two months back and the next company I used was much better. The owner was good though. They did help me out a lot because the insurance company didn't pay. They gave me a discount. Different people came in to do the services. The one who did the wall was excellent.

They did a good job. Took about an hour so they give me a discount from the two hours I purchased.

It was great. I liked that they were very easy. They stayed in contact with me through the whole thing. They kept informed about what they were doing. The work they did turned out great. It looks beautiful.

My initial review was based on the professionalism or lack thereof, of many companies I tried to make contact with. I did received a bid from Thistle and bid was very reasonable, professional in appearance and fair. The initial review was changed from an F to a B, because I feel that this company did make the effort to get me the bid. It wasn't as fast as I had hoped for, but I did get one. I would recommend Thistle, because the quote was the fairest one. They seem to be an honest company, but maybe they are very busy and don't have the time to (No one ever got back with us after the initial phone contact was made & visit from a gentleman who asked for our email to send bid. The visit to our home occurred on Friday and we have heard nothing back. I am not sure if no one is interested because it is a small job & they won't make enough money. It is very disappointing that the work ethic in Las Vegas is so poor. This is the 5th business that we tried to make contact with to get repairs & this is the only one that came out to even bid the job. Which again, was never received.)

The painting and caulking were done by subcontractors. I don't feel that the tile work was needed, I don't feel like they did what they were supposed to do. I think the painters were adequate but not the tile company. They trimmed around the baseboard and didn't do it properly. They let the caulking drain right down the sink and clogged it.

Thistle Construction did a very good job on our walls. The guys worked very quickly, and the wall looked like it did before the flood. They were very skilled at what they did and were very friendly. They cleaned up when they were done and didn t leave a mess behind. The insurance covered the cost of this repair.

I like the fact that they came to my home immediately and gave me a detailed estimate. They also explained to me the necessary steps to repair the damages. For as bad as things were, they did an incredible job in every aspect. They were always punctual and precise in there duties. I would not have any problems recommending them to anyone at all.
