Description of Work: Initial inspection and rooftop air-conditioner cleaning -then, since I was very happy with their thoroughness, I signed a maintenance contract where they come 4 times a year.

Description of Work: I was fairly happy with the price of the a/c tuneup, but was very disappointed overall. It turns out that my a/c drain line was leaking in my wall, and that was the minor issue. Also, when the technician shut off the power to my a/c unit to tune it up, the Disconnect Unit blew up, which in turn blew up my Run Capacitor. The technician explained that because the unit was older that was probably the cause of that occurrence. Unfortunately the technician accidentally broke the outer box that encases the disconnect unit, and told me that needed to now be replaced as well. The technician quoted me a price to replace the Disconnect Unit and Run Capacitor. To my compete shock it was an absurd $503! He also stated maybe due to the unit's age that I could replace it for around $9000. To make matters worse, he wouldn't fix my leaking a/c drain line, and politely informed me that I needed a plumber to do that. The technician was very prompt, personable, courteous, and professional. I give him good ratings, but I felt like The Cooling Company gets people in with these low-cost tune-ups and then grossly overcharges them. In the end I googled my repair and did the entire repair myself for $40.

Description of Work: Water heater flush (which was the Angie's list deal; replaced the tube in the water heater; replaced the water turn off valve to the house. I also purchased a maintenance agreement and they gave me the 15% discount that goes with the agreement.

No pressure to have his company provide the service, when the time comes for repairs, I will call this company back. Very pleased with the service.

Description of Work: After trying homeowner warranty servicemen x 2 and another heating company, the Cooling Company was the only people who didn't shrug their shoulders. My 1st electric bill was $750 and my house was freezing. They found the problem, fixed it and made sure all warranties were honored saving me money. Polite, on-time and always profession. They are my heating and cooling people.

Description of Work: I have used The Cooling Company for the last two years. They replaced my heat pump system. They have been absolutely first rate. When a problem arose because of the location of the heat pump required by the condominium HOA, they crafted a unique solution. That solution is now being used by other condo unit owners thanks to The Cooling Company. They are very attentive and quick to respond. The Cooling Company is highly recommended.
