+ -1 moreOn Monday evening our air conditioner started blowing hot air. I turned it off and Tuesday checked Angie's list and phoned another company. After they checked out the unit (it was not working when they left) and recommended replacing the unit, I checked Angie's list for another company to bid on the replacement. Sun Country came out on Thursday afternoon and within a short time the AC was working, however Richard said we needed a new board at a cost between $400 and $500. Friday they returned and replaced the board and the unit is now working and cooling perfectly. Sun Country was punctual, professional and most important, honest.

+ -1 moreI came home on a Friday evening after work to find my A/C had conked out...and it was due to be one of those sweltering weekends. I contacted SIX companies from Angie's list, and Sun Country was the only one that could come out that evening. In fact they were only one of two that even responded...the other one could come out the next afternoon at the earliest. Not only was the service prompt (within a couple of hours) but it fortunately turned out to be a relatively minor replaceable part and the whole job was done inside of 15 minutes and the air was back up and running. Quick, responsive, reasonable price...what more could you ask for? I'll definitely be using them again if I have problems!

+ -1 moreOur downstairs AC unit began blowing hot air on Sunday morning. I called Sun Country and received a quick call back. They sent a tech out to look at the unit on a Sunday afternoon and did not charge any extra fees for doing so. It was deterermined that we'd need a new motor and they'd be back on Wednesday to replace it with a Lennox motor for $389. We have a Lennox AC unit. On Wednesday I called mid morning as we were anxious to get the cool air blowing again and was told they were having trouble getting the motor from the supplier. They stated they were sending one of their people down to talk to the supplier to see if they could resolve it. Later that day, they had gotten the needed parts and showed up around 4:00 pm to replace the motor. It took less than an hour to replace and we had a working AC unit. The only issue is that they did not replace the motor with a Lennox motor. The tech said the part wasn't available and anyway it would have cost $489 for that part. They only charged $330 for the part but I was disappointed that we did not get what we were told and I would have preferred the OEM part to the generic.

+ -1 moreWe had a AC/Heating unit go out so we called and they were able to send someone over the same day. He quickly found the issue and got us the new needed part and repaired the unit in less than an hour. After that we had him look over an air flow issue we were having with another unit which he was also helped with. He was very helpful in explaining how systems worked which I found very helpful. We plan to have them back in the spring to do a regular check on all the other units.

+ -1 moreThis is the second time I've used Sun Country for heating and cooling problems, and they are incredible! I called on Friday evening with very short notice and Cheryl had someone out to fix the problem early the next morning. What a relief! My rental property is vacant, however I do keep the A/C at about 85 degrees for showings. It was important to have this fixed before the weekend, which is when most of the showings take place, and what a disaster if potential tenants walked into a HOT property, disaster diverted thanks to Cheryl and her crew! This is the only company I will call for heating and cooling problems, they are eager to help and do not take advantage of your situation. Do not hesitate to call, you'll be very happy you did!

+ -1 moreAs I already stated in the previous box. the repairman, Bryon, arrived on time. The first thing he did was to check the air filter. It was determined that it needed to be changed. We changed the filter. Bryan next checked unit itself and found that it had frozen up. He also found that their was a loose valve and about 1/2lb on freon had leaked out. He replaced the freon and tightened the valve. He checked to make sure there were no more leakes.Bryon then checked to make sure it was cooling down. It is now much cooer and it seems to be working great. I was most impressed that he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need.
Description of Work: After using Angie's list I chose Sun Country because of their high rating. I was not disappointed. The repairman was on time, (his name was Bryan) he was very courteous, and professional. The first thing he did was check the air filter. It was one of thos e 3 month kind. Iam sure I changed it 2 months ago. At any rate it needed to be changed. he checked the unit itself. A valve was loose and needed to be tightened. It was a little low on freon. He filled that, then checked to make sure it was cooling. The fee after the discount for mentioning Angie's List was $30.00. I would recommend Sun Country to everyone.

I went on Angies list and called a few places but Sun Country said they could come the same day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brian, our service repairman, called and came when he said he would. He checked out the problem and got it SOLVED!!! (YEAH) He said he would check back the next morning and he did just that. He came over and made sure all was working properly. Extremely professional and courteous. I would absolutely recommend this company! Thanks Angies List.

+ -1 morerJuly 3rd I was ripped off by Lin Service for $520 for Freon he said he put in my A/C system. No way to know because he did not use a scale which is the ONLY way to know how much Freon is added to a unit. This after I explained to him that the unit was serviced by YES! A/C service 11 months prior. I suggested there was probably a leak. He left after licking his finger and placing it over a valve and declaring to me that there was no leak. 2 days later I noticed my A/C was struggling a long time trying to cool our home. By Friday evening it was pumping hot air and had to be shutdown. Saturday morning I searched Angieslist and as a result called Sun Country. They arrived in the afternoon and began to diagnose the issue with my A/C unit. I could not be happier with Sun Country. Little Brian was patient and thorough with his explanations observations and intentions going forward. As a result I have a well functioning A/C at an incredibly fair price. I will without question nor hestigation use them again whenever and wherever the need arises.
Description of Work: Fraud, cheating, lying, mis-diagnoses, incorrect fixes, incompetence, ridiculous charges, etc describes all the A/C service companies (8) I have encounter in Las Vegas in the past 11 yrs. That changed when Sun Country (who I as a new member found on Angie's list) added Freon after thoroughly testing my system with nitrogen, vacuum motors and leak detection methods all of which did not take place until he thoroughly explained all possible charges before hand. A small leak was detected, repaired and my house was cooling well. little Brian (Sun Country) was not totally satisfied so he said he wanted to wait a couple days and check it again. I was NOT charged at that time (I almost fell over). He returned and found a very small leak and replaced some small valve component. Again no charge until he was completely satisfied my system was functioning correctly. It failed on an unusually humid day (for Las Vegas) and little Brian returned to find a hole which had not shown up previously in one of the pipes feeding the compressor (I know because I was there watching learning and paying attention the whole time little Brian was there) . He then proceeded to recover the Freon in the system through a series of gyrations, weld the damaged pipe, do a complete leak test again, restore the Freon, add what additional Freon was required while checking to be sure all was going as expected. It was, it did and all is well with my home A/C and I am ecstatic with the Sun Country. They are very professional results oriented people period. The price was very fair especially when you consider the knowledge required, compotence and the effort put forth to achieve the results little Brian promised at the outset of this endeavor. Net net if you are looking for a good A/C service company call Sun Country. I did and will do it again anytime, anywhere the need arises and so will everyone of my friend I promise you.

Description of Work: My air conditioner failed and I had three estimates for replacement. Sun Country gave the best price for the best unit, and installed it quickly and professionally right away. + -1 moreOne of our air conditioning units stop functioning about 10;30 PM on 6-21-2012. We did not shut the unit down until about 6:00 AM on 6-22-2012, since we did not realize until then that the unit had malfunctioned.. I researched Angie's List and called Sun Country because they were at the top of the list with many A Ratings and Service Awards for the last 3 years. I placed the telephone call about 1:00 PM on 6-22-2012 and was told a servicman would be by around 6:00 PM. The serviceman actually arrived about 8:00 PM but I do not consider that late since I am sure that this Company is literally swamped with service calls this time of year. The important fact is that he came out on the same day as promised. The serviceman (Jose) was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly (a faulty capacitor) and effected the repair expeditiously. He also checked the capacitor on the second unit which was fine. He showed me what he was doing at all times, answered all my questions and did not try to sell me something I did not need. The price I paid for the labor and part was reasonable. I will use Sun Country in the future. I intend for them do do my twice-a-year servicing not only on my home but also on a rental property that we own. I also will recommend them to many others.
Description of Work: Serviceman replaced a worn out capacitior on one A/C unit that was not functioning and checked the operation of the capacitor on the other A/C unit which was running fine.

+ -1 moreThe service was great! Ray arrived and went straight to work. I felt they made time in their busy schedules to fit us in. They called before arriving and went straight to business. Ray was professional and found the problem right away. He removed the part he needed to fix and him and Brian returned later in the evening to replace the part and got the A/C working again. They made a suggestion for another little problem we had with the condensation pipe. We plan to use them for all of our A/C-Heating needs. Their service was great and we got a bit of a deal for mentioning Angie’s as well as using the coupon they provided through the site. We would definitely use Sun County again. Call them, you cannot go wrong!

Told them the problem I was having and was told they here doing an insultation that morning and would free someone up as soon as possible. Tech called about 7:45AM or so and said he would be right over. Arrived about 8:00AM, inspected the units and told me one of the units had a bad capacitor, gave me a price along with a discount for using Angie's List. He was done and gone by 8:30AM. Can't do much better than that.

Description of Work: I have a condo Rental in Vegas, and my tenant said the AC wasn't cold. I've used Sun Country a year or so prior, so I called them again. I have an old AC unit, so it wouldn't have suprised me if I needed to finally replace it. But, I made an apt for the following day, and the tech said the coils needed to be cleaned and the filter changed. Now, everything is perfect again!

They told me the condenser needed to be replaced and the difference between replacing a condenser and getting a new unit was $300. So I told them to install a new unit. + -1 moreThis is the second time we have used Sun Country Heating and Cooling. Both times they were on time, friendly, professional, speedy and competent. It is great to have someone who knows what they are doing and can do it.
Description of Work: No cold air coming from one of the A/C units. Brian arrived on time and checked everything. He found a bad "start" capacitor and replaced. In further checks, he found a small leak in the valves of each unit and fixed them both., adding a small amount of freon. Everyting is now working.

Description of Work: We have two ac units on our house and our second floor thermostat was completely dead. Terrified that we would have to replace an entire unit, we joined Angie's List hoping to find a reputable vendor, and boy did we. Turns out there were some loose/missing valves causing the freon to leak; freon was added and valve stem was replaced. What seemed like a $2,500 project worked out to $166 - sweet!

+ -1 moreReplacement of the furnaces was particularly difficult because the furnaces were installed in the attic which had to be accessed by an opening in a small closet. Installation was completed in one day. The old furnaces had to be removed through the house. Tarps were put down on all interior floors. When the job was done you would never have known that two 25 year old furnaces from the attic had been removed through the house.
Description of Work: Install 2 new A/C central air units and 2 new gas forced air furnaces.

They performed with professiolism and at a good price. The highlight of their repair service was in keeping me informed at all times of what was going on. This was the first time I used their service but rest assured they wiil be the first company I call in the future.
