Sun Country Heating and Cooling

I called Sun Country for the first time to do a seasonal checkup on the cool/heat. Jose showed up on time, and he was very kind and professional. My dogs loved him! Jose immediately found that our cooling condenser motor was going bad. I knew this as the motor would run but the fan would not turn on occasion. Jose called his office to find the motor that came specifially for our unit instead of putting on an after market motor (which is what Sierra Air did 3 yrs previously). Jose left and by 4:45 pm Edgar came back to our home to put the new motor on and finish the seasonal work. The after market motor that Sierra Air put on was noisey and didn't fit well. The motor that Jose and Edgar put on our unit is quiet and works like a charm! I expected the cost would be over $500 so I was very happy with EVERYTHING! Thank you, Sun Country! Will be calling you again!

Not only did Sun quote a price that was $4000 less than what Yes! wanted to replace the unit, their tech fixed my disconnect for FREE vs the $700 that Yes! wanted to fix it! Sun's tech didn't charge me for to repair the disconnect, just told me to keep them in mind in the future. I suspect I will replace the AC unit sometime late this year or next year and will definitely be using Sun to replace the unit. Our initial call was promptly returned that same night and we received service the following day. Brian, our very knowledgeable service technician, was timely and courteous. Within minutes he had found the problem and quickly replaced the part and tested the system. Thank you Brian! It was refreshing to find an honest and dependable company to help us. He said I didn't need the freon so he didn't charge me anything. I plan to use them again. Their prices are reasonable and they are honest. I haven’t actually had any work done by them.

We returned to our winter home in November, 2012, and could not get it warm. On a Sunday, we called Sun Country (based upon the Angie's List reviews), and within an hour the owner was in our attic and got one of the furnaces working. Sun Country did not charge a premium for the Sunday call. Two days later, after acquiring some needed parts, Sun Country installed needed parts so that both furnaces worked - ahh, warmth! We will continue to utilize Sun Country's services, both in the cold when we need warm, and in the hot when we need cool.

They were very professional in their service and was so quick in responsing. The cost was about half what I expected and that is always good.

I called Cheryl Tuesday am explained my problem my downstairs heater ceased to work I explained what my husband had ascertained could possibly be the issue. The gentleman that arrived was prompt and curteous and on the same day. He confirmed the damage gave me a quote to replace the blower explained that he didnt have the one for my unit but would return with it the next day. Mean time he serviced and checked my upstairs unit. Returned the next morning promptly installed the blower serviced the unit as well as did a requested air flow for my upstairs unit. Again these gentlemen were prompt curteous discussed my options with me and never once left me with the feeling I was going to need to take a loan to pay necessary services. I will be using them again should need arise and recommending them for friends who need an honest quality AC/Heat Service.

Called Sun Country Heating and Cooling. Cheryl answered and told her what was going on and she got someone to come out really fast. Thanks Cheryl! Our upstairs heater was coming on, but not the downstairs. We thought maybe we blew the pilot light, but after looking at our unit, the technician Ray then checked the breakers. It wasn't our breakers but our actual electric outlet that was out. Thank goodness this company is honest and very professional! I wouldn't hesitate to call them again!

I love, love, love this company. I have used them many times and have always been thoroughly satisfied. My heat upstairs stopped working. A technician (Brian ) came out to take a look and was quickly able to diagnose the problem that was on my control board in my attic. He explained the problem in very simple terms so that I was able to understand and told me that the office would call back with an estimate to replace. I heard back very quickly and the new part was installed the following day. They are friendly, punctual and professional. It's so nice to fell confident in what you are getting and with the price you are being quoted. A company that actually is about customer service and not trying to rip you off.....THAT IS RARE!

They are excellent. Another company had looked at my A/C heating unit, but Sun Country Heating and Cooling did the work for half the price. The turned it on and did not even give me a service charge. They told me it would break down and we would need to fix it then. The heating finally went out on a Sunday and they came on Veteran's Day to fix it.

It was great, especially after the first company blew it.

I have had problems in the past with other companies so I went to Angie's List and found that Sun Country had great reviews. I called to schedule an appointment with Cheryl and she was most accommodating. We scheduled for afternoon work and was given a time frame. The technician Jose called at the beginning of that time frame and was very punctual. He then proceeded to service my heating units, and did something no one ever did before , he brought a vacuum up to the attic to clean the units, very professional. He completed the job and informed me of what he found and what could go wrong in the future. We even spoke about other work that I wanted an opinion on. He was very knowledgable. When was due they gave me a break and even gave me the 15 pct discount. I would for sure use this company for maintenance of my a/c units when the time comes. Very good experience with this company.

Very well. The problem occurred at a rental unit we own. Sun Country responded promptly. The problem turned out to be minor and Sun Country charged me only for a service call. They were fair and professional.

The Sun Country representatives were all very prompt, courteous and professional. They called when they said they would to allow me to be at work and then meet them at the house when needed. The quotes they offered seemed very reasonable. I am always a bit suspicious when someone is there to fix one thing and then finds another thing that needs to be fixed. I will continue to use Sun Country in the future.

HELP! HELP! ... It's hot in LV and my old A/C unit stopped working! I phoned 'Sun Country' and the woman (Cheryl) who took my call was most helpful, giving good tips on how to possibly fix the problem. The tech showed up promptly, was professional, friendly and I had cold air in no time. Thank you,Sun Country!

Our upstairs airconditioning unit had stopped blowing air and also there was a leak in the attic. I called at 7:30am and Cheryl answered promptly and was very friendly and she asked me some questions about the problems I was having. I felt good right off the start with dealing with this company. She said that either Brian or Jose would be able to come within a few hours that morning and I asked her to have the tech call me when he was on his way. Brian called me at 8:45am and said he would be there in about 20 minutes and he was!! Brian thoroughly looked at the unit in the attic, and fixed a capacitor that was shot, and also blew out our primary and secondary lines from the compressor/condenser with nitrogen to see if there was something blocking the lines to make them leak and to find out where the leak was. He made some suggestions about replacing the pans which have rusted and made some other adjustments as he said the coils weren't level, but when asked if we need to replace the unit he said no , not at this point as everything was still working fine, just when it is very humid the units create more condensation, and the unit drips water--.He said he thought that with some of the adjustments we may not need to replace the pans, but if so the cost would only be a few hundred dollars if we should decide to replace the pans. We had been previously quoted by another company that the compressor needed to be replaced for $1200..The cost of this visit from Sun Country was $197 minus a $59 discount for being an Angie list member ( I believe this is the normal service call charge). Our bill was $138. My husband and I both were so relieved we didn' t have more repairs to do, even though we know our units are getting old and will need to be replaced someday...Brian was there about 2 hours with us, and when we asked questions he explained them very thoroughly. Thank you Sun Country, we will always use your company now--and we also will recommend your company to everyone. All the A+ reviews are right on and you run an excellent company.

The experience from starting the job to completion went as we were told. They showed up on time, replaced the unit and actually did some maintenance on my other unit at no charge. Dependable and trustworthy. What else can you say about a company? I recommend them highly and will to anyone who needs a Heating and Air Conditioning company.

I received a call from my tenant, stating that the a/c "stopped blowing". Since I live out of state, I used Angie's List to find a good contractor to perform diagnostics, and fix the problem. Sun Country had the highest ratings, so I gave them a call. Cheryl answered the phone, and I explained my situation. She was very helpful, and told me some of the things that might be causing the problem, as well as how much each would cost to repair. I liked having this information up front, so there would be no surprises. She was able to fit me into the schedule the same day, which was great, since Las Vegas gets very hot, and I knew my tenant would not be happy having to wait a few days for the a/c to get fixed. The technician called me from the house, and told me that it was the compressor motor, which was overheating, and shutting down. He gave me the price, and included a 10% discount for finding them on Angie's List. I know why Sun Country has an "A" rating. they were great from start to finish, and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC service!

Called them the end of June based on Angie's List rating. Wanted estimate to install a new ductless mini-split A/C in the garage. Guy came out the next day. Didn't offer an estimate, said he had to go back to the shop and do some research on available equipment. Never heard from them again!

Our air conditioner quit working. My husband accrued a list of service people for air conditioners. It was very confusing to try to choose one, then I thought of joining Angie's list. We have a 2 story home with one air conditioner that was still working..so we had time to research. We had been using another large company for years, and were "ripped" off time after time. I was out of state at the time of the breakdown, so I phoned him after joining Angies list with instructions on how to access the site.We really thought that we would have to buy a new unit, and were resolved to face that situation. Well, my husband called Sun Country Heating and Cooling and reached a recording. He left a message stating he had found their name on Angie's List. Withing 15 minutes they returned the phone call and promised a service person would be at the house within a few hours. Again, within a 1/2 hour a technician called to ask if was ok to come by shortly. The technician came to our home, climbed on the roof, and diagnosed the problem. We did not need a new air conditioner..the problem was a "fried bread board". He looked in his truck to see if he had one in his truck...did not. He gave my husband an estimate of $300 and said he would return in the morning.He did return the next day with the part..replaced the bad part. We also bought a new thermastat control. The bill was $400 and change.The work and price were "spot on" along with a warranty for a year. It was so nice to not be ripped off, for a change. It has only been a week since the repair...but so far, so good. I would highly recommend this company, and would not hesitate to use them again, if needed. Thanks, Angie
