+ -1 moreAfter checking everything out ,the service man couldn't find anything wrong with the unit, and assured us that it was working OK. The service man explained everything he did. The next day we heard the noise again we discovered where the sound was coming from, and it wasn't coming from the A/C unit. We were still glad we had the unit serviced, and checked out. ,The service was great and the price was very fair. Thanks, DFC .
Description of Work: We had a knocking sound that seemed to be coming from the are conditioner in the attic. Service man checked entire unit out including the mounting of the unit; and also checked the Freon in the unit;

+ 0 moreSierra said I needed to replace my whole air system which was not true. Sun Country just came out and cleaned out the drainage pipe and then it was fixed. It was a very small job that they did. When they came out and did the reassessment, they didn't charge me anything. They came out with a 3-men team, they basically brought in all their work, they went up there, and they looked at it. They were honest and they did a thorough job. They went up and checked my numbers on how high the freon should be and the pressure and everything. They did a really thorough job and they didn't even charge me for cleaning out my drainage. It was incredible. I'l definitely use them again. They checked on Sierra's work and said that's not what it is. They said that it was actually a part that Sierra had put along so I had the warranty work from Sierra so I made Sierra come out and fix it and I said that I would not use Sierra again and the next time that I need anything, I'll use Sun Country.
Description of Work: Sun Country Heating and Cooling cleaned out my air ducts and the drainage pipe and they basically looked in all my fittings and things and did a reassessment after Sierra came out and told me what was actually wrong because I had water leaking down the side of my house.

+ -1 moreAs a single woman I am always skeptical when I need any repair. I love Angie's List, so at least I have other opinions to go off of. After reading the favorable reviews on Sun Country, I decided to give them a call as my upstairs ac unit was not producing cold air. It's July folks and I was sure they would be busy,but Jose came out the same day I requested service. He was very professional and courteous. I was more than relieved when he showed me damaged wires and suggested we could repair them instead of replace the whole motor. I asked him to check the other two units to make sure they were in good working order. I highly recommend Sun Country. The person answering their phones was so nice, they are punctual, and Jose knew exactly what he was doing. The best part about using Sun Country is that Jose was very honest and I did not feel taken advantage of. Thank you Sun Country!
Description of Work: My upstairs ac unit was on but not making cold air. Jose found some wires that needed to be replaced. Explained all of his procedures, serviced and checked other two units as well for any damage.

+ -1 moreI called Sun Country because my regular service company wouldn't even answer the phone. I left a message on their answering machine. No response. After 4 days I called Sun Country based on Angie's List reviews. Really glad I did. They actually answered the phone and scheduled an appointment. My unit wasn't cooling as it should and the evaporator coils would ice up if I tried to keep the interior temperature below 80 degrees when the outside temperature was over 105 degrees. Bryan arrived on schedule, replaced a Schrader valve that was leaking and added 3 lbs of freon. It only took Bryan about 25 minutes to complete the job. He accepted the Angies List coupon and gave the free service discount. I paid for 3 lbs of freon (I have an old unit) and a replacement for the leaking Schrader valve. Total price was $180. (Note: if you have a newer unit the refrigerant cost would be lower than the old freon.) Unit is working great and my wife isn't bugging me about the heat. Thanks Sun Country!

+ -1 moreAt the peak of the recent historic heat wave my downstairs air conditioning went out. The same day, in spite of outrageously high demand for their service, Brian came and quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad control board. He did a "work around" that gave me air until a new board could be located. No charge for this visit. He returned on Friday, just as promised, and installed a new exact replica of the old board. All is working well. This was after another company told me I needed to replace the entire system ($7000. plus) because there was no guarantee I could find a replacement board. Sun Country is a long time, reliable air conditioning and heating service. They are the responsive, highly competent and honest. In short after 25 years in this town I can tell you they are the very best! You simply can not go wrong with them.

Ray got back to me immediately and apologized for dropping the ball and even refunded the service charge I paid in Jan., when I used them for my heater. It shows me they do care about their customers, and I would definitely use them in the future (although I still am quite impressed with Alaskan Air). + -1 moreMy tenant called and said A/C was not working. I called Sun Country and they were there in no time to evaluate the problem. The A/C was still on warranty so they called York and got a replacement condenser which they installed. As well as fixing the Freon leak. While waiting for the replacement part, they made the A/C work, so my tenant could have A/C. A few days later got a call from another tenant some problem, A/C not working. Sun Country came out right away and determined that the A/C also needed a new condenser. Again, they called York and got a new condenser because A/C was still under warranty. I think Sun Country are wonderful, I don't know what I would have done without them, because the Home Warranty company I have are useless and don't fix anything. I will use them again!!!

She gave me an estimate of 350.00 to 389.00 to replace the fan motor in my condenser but said she would call back on friday to confirm everthing. I called them on friday and she said she had not spoke to her husband yet about getting the correct motor and the price would be around 400.00. she said she would definately call me back on monday and has never called back. If they cant return a call I can"t do business with them and I dont like the changing of the price.

The repairman was punctual, friendly and professional. She told me Will would be coming to my house as soon as he was finished with his current appointment. Will was here with in the hour he was a delight! So nice these days to find people with good manners and work ethic!! He came in explained Everything he was going to do and why. As he was checking things he was telling me what the good readings were and that it was very good news before even getting to the roof. after he was finished there he once again explained Everything he had checked and conditions found. I did not have a problem with my unit but thought it would be wise to get a check-up before the heat gets really bad. I was correct everything was in good shape! From begining to end I was totally please with this company I Will use them again as needed. There was no selling of anything. This was a special they were running. I had originally looked at a different company same kind of special but this one was $10 less and had Many more good reports I am so Happy I chose them!!

It has been great to have people come out who were familiar with the unit...and especially nice to know that they are professional, honest, and if you have an emergency they will take care of you. Not only did they give me prompt, same day service, but they were able to find a temporary part to get my air conditioner working until the new part arrived. My sister and my nieces were arriving from Montana and the upstairs air conditioner had broke that very morning. Sun County Heating and Cooling saved the day. The price was extremely reasonable and I haven't had an issue with the air conditioner since. I highly recommend them and will use them again with no hesitation whatsoever! A+++++++ company and a definite asset to Angie's List.

Ironically my parents had scheduled a service by the company where the tech tried to sell me a duct cleaning. They had no idea at the time that I found that company to be shady. When I told them about my experience, they immediately canceled and booked with Sun Country. They were very pleased as well. I am actually going to have them install a code system or an additional unit. Thank- You Sun Country. You have two more customers for life!
Description of Work: We had our air conditioner "serviced" in March by a different company. It worked fine. One Saturday night in April it started blowing hot air. We called a 24 hour company that arrived around 10 PM that night. The technician said it was frozen and we would have to wait until the following day to have it examined. Before he left he explained that probably before anything we should have the air ducts cleaned and that the air conditioner was probably clogged. WHAT?? He tried to set up an appoint etc. We have the ducts cleaned every so often and I did not think that sounded right. I decided to look up reviews for legit companies and found Sun Country Heating and Cooling. Cheryl was great! They came out the same day (after hours) and Edgar promptly handled the situation. The unit was about 2 1/2 pounds short of freon ( or whatever goes in air systems). There was not a leak in the system so it was a possibility that the fluid spilled out when the techs from the company that came out in March "serviced" it. My hubs was not home when they came so I did not know exactly what was done. We have not received a bill for the service yet but will update when received.

+ -1 moreAll in all I was very please with the service. The young man was very polite and knowledgable from the minute he knock on the door and how he explained what he was going to do. When he was finished he had a check list of the items that needed to be checked with and all were in good condition. And also an wire connection he replaced.
Description of Work: I wanted a summer check up on my rooftop airconditioner and set up the appointment a few days later. The tech was very polite and explained exactly what he was going to do. Clean and check for any debris in and around the air conditioner, check the freon level, check the wiring and connection, which on one wire connection he replaced. Check and make sure the aircon is in good condition for what my contract calls for.
