They had to stop for water several times, they were late. |We had to put belongings including some furniture in our cars. They took numerous breaks. When they left they came back and had changed the time sheet and wanted us to initial it. In addition we suspect they used our Amex card in Ca. for 2.35. Amex called and checked if we really charged something for that little amount and we told them no.

It was all good except that they were 2 hours late. I had to call THEM to find out they were running late. They compensated me for my 2 hours of wait time with $25. Really? But the move went well once we got it going.

Employees were punctual but not entirely professional. One of the movers seemed to be enraged with his foreman, as he cursed few times. Also, there were a few items scratched, and even though I paid for insurance, had a hard time getting refunded for damages. Had to write to corporate claims to make sure I had some sort of compensation for the damages.

I was very dissatisfied with the representation of this company, this last time. In the past, I had a really positive experience, but it seems that you have to roll the dice with Starving Students in order to get men that are reliable and will do the job correctly. This time out, I had two men who were unresponsive to my needs. They worked at such a slow pace, I finally had to tell them to just take a few things and go to my new residence. When it was finally over, they begged me to sign a report on them, stating that they worked hard and were really good at what they did and I refused to. I wound up moving most of my own things and they moved maybe a third.

While having young people move furniture is an great idea, kids really don't value belongings like most of us do. We had some broken furniture, broken glass and if we hadn't stayed on top of them, there might have been more broken. I would use them again for moving a few pieces of furniture, but not a whole house move again.

Starving Students did an excellent and professional job for me. They left absolutely no scratches on any of my belongings. They handled themselves appropriately and were very courteous towards me. They were all in there mid-twenties and they were all hardworking people.
