SOUTHWEST ROOFING

They did not properly perform the work and as a result, rain caused damage to floors and ceilings due to multiple leaks in their "NEW" roof. Numerous calls an sloppy repairs led to more leaks and further damage. We reported them to the contractors board and they were issued a notice to correct, but they failed to do so and a hearing was made in January 2014. Gino Long was present and his license was suspended that day. They were ordered to pay restitution to us for a new roof by a licensed company. They did nothing. As of April, 2014 they are no longer licensed to do business in Nevada. Please do not hire this company as they are sham. These are just a few of the violations which they did nothing to address: NRS 624.3013(5) pursuant to NAC 624.700(3)(a) Failure to comply with a notice to correct NRS 624.3017(1) Workmanship which is not commensurate with standards of the trade in general NRS 624.302(5) Failure or refusal to respond to request to cooperate in investigation of complaint NRS 624.302(6) Failure or refusal to comply with a request for information or records

They have been out 4 times and still can't fix the leak after charging over 6 grand. It's a headache that is taking forever to get solved. Had to get corporate involved.

As you might imagine, it has gone terribly, and we have no hope of them completing their work or returning our money. Southwest Roofing Company LLC received $9,450.00 of our hard-earned cashand did little more than rent dumpsters and dispose of our pre-existing roof tile and underlayment. They were supposed to replace the roof tile, cut new vents, cut exhaust fan penetrations, etc and they abandoned us instead and in the process, extorted us for thousands of dollars. DO NOT CONTACT THIS PROVIDER FOR ANY PROSPECTIVE PROJECTS YOU MAY HAVE; THEY WILL ROB YOU AS THEY HAVE ROBBED US AND NUMEROUS OTHER CUSTOMERS WE HAVE SINCE READ ABOUT ON THE CONTRACTOR'S BOARD, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND GOOGLE. WE WERE IMMEDIATELY DISMAYED TO FIND THAT THIS CONTRACTOR HAS (5) REVIEWS WHICH ARE ALL GRADED and quot;Aand quot; - I DOUBT VERY MUCH THE VALIDITY OF ANY OF THOSE REVIEWS DESPITE ANGIE'S LIST'S EFFORTS TO ENSURE IT.

I called them. They came out and gave me the estimate when they said they would. They are actually doing the work right now. I have not used them before. They showed up when they said they would. They were there when they said they would do the estimate. They showed up on the day they said they would start the work. So far they are doing great work. I tried to contact some other people through Angie's List and they never got back to me. I tried to contact the other roofing company 4 or 5 times to get them and they never got back to me. They were completely unresponsive.

Gino Long came out to give me an estimate and first was more punctual than most sales people that I have had to deal with. He took his time to listen to me explain the problems that I was seeing. He did a very thorough examination of my roof and told me in terms I would understand what was needed, how long it would take, any disruptions to my family, the clean-up, the guarantee and lastly the price. I knew it would be quite a job due to the roof being cement tiles that would have to be removed, an area of plywood that was weak and needed replacing, and dealing with finding a color match for some of the 30 year old tiles that were broken. And at a price I could afford...and Gino DID IT ALL!!! The price was good, the crew was on time, the color matched- and even when they discovered more tiles that needed replacing than anticipated, he didn't come back and try to and quot;upand quot; the price. The clean-up was excellent and there was really no disruption with pounding on the roof too early in the morning. I could ramble on...BUT... If you are thinking about a new roof or need repairs on yours, Gino would be the one to call...and it turns out he is a rare find and has grown up in Las Vegas too...not just another fly by night company you won't be able to find again!

Southwest Roofing came out and gave an estimate on schedule. The job was delayed one week due to bad weather. They completed the job in three days. Very happy with the results.

We were very satisfied and would definately call them again if any roof work needs done.

The work went just as described. There were no delays and it was done in less than a day. The leak had damaged the felt under the tiles which occurred over a period of years, so time will tell if it has been done correctly. However, the company was referred to a handyman (former contractor) that we trust, so can only assume that it was a job well done.

We had tried to get estimates from numerous companies, several of which were on here and they all wanted estimate fee's except Southwest and another company. The other company came out first and their rep could not offer and estimate on the spot and did not seem very knowledgeable. Southwest came out the next day and assessed the damage and offered and estimate on the spot. They arrived as promised on the agreed upon date and had the work completed in a little over a day for 1/2 the price of the other company and offered the same warranty and left our yard as clean as it was when they arrived. It has not rained since the repair but everything appears to be great.

They were here for 2 days. I was concerned with the language barrier and legality of citizenship. I felt like I was babysitting. I had to have them repaint because they did a poor job the first time. It hasn't rained yet, so I don't know if the problem has been corrected.

This company did a good job. They were very clean, always showed up on time and the work was done in 2 days. I stressed that I did not want anything to end up in my pool and they did everything that they could to keep that from happening. The manager over the staff would come by several times everyday to make sure they were doing a good job. I also was very happy with the price. We had other bids on this project and this company was the best.

From the estimate, I felt very comfortable using this company. The estimator was very friendly and professional and confident they could get the job done in a timely fashion. The work started that same week, and was completed two days later. The workers started the day early and work steadily all day. When the work was completed, the area around the house was completely clean and exactly how I had it before the work started. After the job was done, the estimator came back to my house to go over everything that was done and made sure I was satisfied with the work, which I was.
