On August 1, 2014, Mr. Redona came to my home to see if he could locate the cause of the air conditioner leak I had in my living room. He blew out the lines but wasn't that sure that would fix the leak because of some other problems, not the least of which could be a hole in the pan under the condenser. The following day, Danny returned with his partner to do some and quot;tweakingand quot; of things. Whatever they did, the air conditioner responded with increased air flow, less dust in my house, and no leak---at least until the next hot and very humid day during the monsoons when the leak was there but not heavy as before. Prior to this service call, I had already decided to replace the unit, since it had been in service since 1993 and had started giving me some problems which resulted in fairly expensive repairs (both inside and out). Since it was so hot and the air conditioner was performing so much better, Danny Redona and I agreed we would wait until the weather dropped below 90and deg; before he came back to replace the unit. On October 18, Danny and his partner and crew showed up precisely at 8:00 a.m. as scheduled. Installing the outside equipment was relatively straight forward, but installing the attic equipment was truly a challenge, which they faced with confidence. The attic access had been placed at the highest point of the ceiling in my office instead of in the hallway. That was only part of the problem. The access opening was obstructed by a wall and plant shelf that made it impossible for the unit to be lifted into the attic through the intended opening. Since the old unit had leaked into my living room, the crew removed that area of the living room ceiling to get the equipment into the attic. It was obvious this crew had worked together for many years. All of them worked like a well-oiled machine! By 12:45 pm everything was completed, and the crews departed. This included the repair of the big hole in my living room ceiling! Previous companies had told me the work would take between three to seven days to complete. Everything was back in place in my rooms and outside. Danny and his partner were onsite at all times and involved in the installation. Danny came back two or three days later to reinspect all the work and settle up. Incidentally, the original two visits and a new carbon monoxide detector were included in the final price. You can be sure no one else will do any inspections on this wonderful, quiet and effective system except So Cool A/C and Heating!

We are relatively new to the area and word of mouth recommendations give us a point of reference for services when searching Angie's List. It seem that everyone has a 'guy' for something; I now have a guy I will go to for all my HVAC needs. Danny Redona was professional, had time for all my questions, and my wife really liked him. That's a big deal. The heating and AC system was installed over two days and while it's a necessary evil, I had no second thoughts on the system we chose. Danny explained all about 'SEER' and after a short tutorial, we had enough data and facts to make an informed decision. You can't go wrong with So Cool!
Description of Work: Replaced a 22 year heating and air conditioning system. Doubled the size of the return air vents and installed jumpers in both bedrooms to improve air circulation.
