Description of Work: We have a small job, consisting of removing three feet high of stacked rock on the entryway of our home. We have purchased our own new block, so expected a fair price for installing. $4000.00 is so completely off the charts for this bid. It's like 100 sq ft. Come on.

Description of Work: I scheduled an appointment for the gentleman who works for Sierra Masonry to come to my house, look at the walls, and then give me an estimate. He stated he would go there, without me, and then let me know. He never went to the house, and never contacted me. Very unprofessional on their part and I will never recommend and use this compay.

Description of Work: I had a huge fireplace restoned and they did an excellent job. Getting them here was a little rough - they kept promising to come out on a certain date and then that wouldn't happen, but once they finally started the job their work was great. I'm very happy with how it all turned out.

 + -1 moreThey arrived at 7:30 am, removed and replaced block and were finished by 10:00. They were meticulous in their clean-up even in returning all front yard rock that was disturbed by their work. Very impressive.
Description of Work: Sierra Masonry removed part of a block wall damaged by tree roots and replaced it with new block and concrete grout.

 + 0 moreFrom the first phone call Javier was on top of everything. Came out right away and gave us a bid. Explained the process and told us what to expect. He did everything, got permits dealt with the HOA and everything went like clockwork. The fence is Beautiful and the crew was amazing to watch. Everyone had a job and knew exactly what to do. There is an Art to every job and these guys were artists! They were always happy and asking if everything was right! They took extra care of our property and made sure everything was clean when they were done. On a scale of 1=10 Javier and his crew are a 20! Call them if you want the job done right!

 + 0 moreLet me first say overall experience on a scale of 1 to 10 was a 15 !! Javier came out for initial estimate on time, exactly when he said he would.........he came 1 to 2 times a day to check on his workers and ask me if I had any concerns....what really impressed me and in my 40 years of owning homes, I have never seen this.......HE STATED NO MONEY GIVEN TO THE COMPANY UNTIL I SEE YOU ARE COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH THE JOB !! Other companies I called , didnt show up when they were suppose to, or came and said they would get back 24 hours with a quote.........1 to 2 weeks later they are calling and saying they got busy and just didnt get to it...well that right there said enough........how great would their work ethics be ??? I am not one of these people that go for the cheap price....you always get what you pay for I say.......... Javier even allowed me to change the color of the stone veneer, as when he brought the pieces, I could tell I wasnt going to like it...he stated no problem, and brought new samples....... I am OVERJOYED with the job,,,,,,,,,will never hesitate to refer them to family and friends.......I wish alot of other companies were as kind and caring to the potential customers !!
Description of Work: My cinder block wall was disenegrating all along the bottom of my fence around my whole house on the interior side. Best solution was to stucco the walls and I was able to pick out color of my choice. Then I decided to add some stone veneer to different areas of the fence.........also cut back block wall six feet on 4 corner street side as it was very intrusive, as we do live on a corner...It made the front look so much bigger.

 + 1 moreSeems to me Sierra Masonry is not responsive, estimator cancelled twice, then showed up third time 30 minutes early. I was just returning from my morning run and luckily got to the house the same time the estimator did. They also do not return calls if you leave a voice mail. Estimate was within my price range and estimator said he would email me bid proposal, but never did. Finally went with a different company with high ratings on Angie's List who wanted the work.
Description of Work: Provided estimate to install stone veneer on outside of home.

 + -1 moreImpressed by Mr. Avila's knowledge and honesty. I received 2 total cost bids as I left out 2 items from the original evaluation on May 17th; 2nd cost received May 19th. While they are not the lowest bidder, the fact that the knowledge and full explanation of what would be done assured me that this is the company I am going with! I made appointments for May 17th and 19th and Mr. Avila was on time. I received bids by 2 other companies but contacted a total of 4. While 2 other companies provided bids they did not even listen to what I requested; their bids was for work they deemed necessary and not with materials I requested, totally unacceptable! The 4th company keeps rescheduling the appointment, so they are not even being considered. Being a previously state licensed home inspector, I have more than general knowledge of permits and building codes. Mr. Avila explained what would be required before and during the job. I am sold on Sierra Masonry's work ethics!
