The owner met with me last Friday to do a walk around the property and determine what needed to be done. I pointed out two specific areas where I was completely open to what happened: a back yard bush, and a row of plants in the back yard. I pointed out two specific areas where I had special requests: a front yard palm and a back yard tree that was encroaching on my neighbor's yard. The trimming was excellently done, and the beds were raked (likely blown, there are rocks in there) well and the front was excellently managed. The back yard was similarly well done in all areas except that the tree was left trimmed with several feet of branches still over the fence. I suppose I'll just need to break out the cutters and chop it off. The row of plants in the back yard was excellently handled. Now comes the point of contention on the service. I was offered the choice of leaving the debris, bagged (in bags I had to provide) at my house, or paying $75 for it to be hauled away. The price for haul was higher than the last two companies I had come in and do work. More to the point, I am intending on doing a run to the transfer station with some other items I want to throw out, so my likely preference was to just haul it myself when I had a few friends to help next weekend. I told the owner that I would let him know if I required haul, otherwise to leave the bags in the back yard, and I pointed "over there". When coming home (the work was done while I was at work), I first noted that a large pile of bags was left on the public sidewalk and spilling into the street. Further, a huge pile of branches was similarly left projecting about 4' into the street. Knowing that this was where my neighbor parked, I had to quickly drag the debris on to the sidewalk. I was unable to move the piles into the drive way as there's an incline, and having experienced a major medical issue last week, I am not able to move the piles more than a few feet without risk of injury (read the side effects of Cipro- detached tendons aren't good). I contacted the owner this morning with a message expressing my disappointment that the piles were left in the front, giving me no choice but to deal with them today as my HOA is EXTREMELY clear about things like this - 24 hours will get you a sizable fine. I offered two solutions: One was to have him send someone out to move the bags and branches to the back yard where I had specified. Another was to pay $50 which I acknowledge as lower than his stated rate, but I'd have to leave work and take vacation hours to drive home, meet, and pay him. In my mind, after making a mistake or not clearly communicating to his crew where the debris was to be left, some accommodation was appropriate. His solution was to extremely rudely tell me point blank that I had NEVER told him where to put the debris, and he accusingly told me that I never called him back about the haul. He further growled at me that he wasn't going to haul for $50.00. When I said that perhaps he had misheard or not heard me when I indicated where to leave the bags, he point blank told me I was lying. I can only guess that by leaving the debris illegally in the street, there are some customers who will go back and hurriedly pay for haul so that they won't be fined, but I am not one of them. Further discussion impossible due to his posturing and aggressive tone, I thanked him for his call and got off the phone. Regarding my ratings, I am ranking the quality as a B rather than lower because though there was the issue with the tree not being trimmed per my request, I expect that was the result of the owner not communicating that requirement to his crew. Otherwise, all work was excellently done. The real hit, and the one that moved my overall experience to a D was the professionalism. It is absolutely never a good first tactic for a company to accuse a customer of lying, especially when the customer suggests there was a miscommunication and is offering solutions. Even if the owner absolutely believes I never indicated where to leave the debris, acknowledging a misunderstanding is the far preferable option, and I can nearly assure you would have resulted in a higher score, even if the end result was the same. Further complicating things, as I had indicated my intention to haul it myself this coming weekend, common sense would suggest that he further clarify the location if there was any doubt, as I can't think of any place in the valley where leaving debris blocking the entire sidewalk and several feet of the street is acceptable for several days. This service, at discount is $40 less than I paid - at full price - a competitor to do the same work last year. The competitor included the hauling, and was very clear on the work to be performed, and in fact the owner of that company called me from the house asking for clarification on one location rather than risk an issue. I will not be using Sharp landscape again, and encourage anyone considering them to be prepared to get all details in writing so as to avoid the issues I experienced.

Simon arrived a little earlier than we had discussed, which was fine with me. I showed him the work I needed to have done. After a bit of negotiating, we settled on a price. Simon had to leave, however the 3 gentleman that did the work were great. I apologize that I will probably mess up their names. Manuel, Cali and Rodrigo did a wonderful job with everything that I had wanted done. Then cleaned up the area and took all the trimmings, roots and pine needles away. When the need arises, I will use Sharp again and I highly recommend them to anybody thinking of having yard work done.

The owner of the company and 1 helper: -arrived at 8am -asked a few questions and then started working -trimmed all shrubs -cut tree branches that were hanging over the back fence -perfectly trimmed and shaped tree in front yard -cleaned up all yard and tree debris -i paid them and they left at 12 noon I have made plans for them to come back in a few months and the owner is looking for a replacement for my broken fountain. Simon and his associate arrived on time and ascertained our requirements for service They possessed all the tools for proper job completion. The work was completed with intermittent consultation to insure the work was being completed in as we desired . All the clippings were properly bagged and placed in the pickup area for subsequent removal. A final discussion was had to insure the work was done as required and future service to the homeowner.

Fantastic! Simon and his crew contacted me shortly after I purchased this Angie's list deal to schedule and confirm time and date of service. They showed up on time and were highly efficient. They finished within 4 hours and my front and back yards haven't looked better. Absolutely worth every penny!

Simon Loza is a professional and his 2 helpers are great at their jobs. They showed up early (as I requested) in the AM, we discussed what needed to be done. Very pleasant individual and easy to talk to. The yard was so very ragged. We were more than pleased with the work. They had it done in record time - about 3 hours. We made the decision to have him haul off the trash instead of leaving for Republic services which he did for a small fee. We also talked about repeat business in the spring. If you need lawn services - hire this crew. You won't be sorry.

As a new homeowner, it was great to have simon around, He listened to what I wanted, and drew up exactly what I had been thinking of. He showed up to make sure job was being done correctly, and I couldn't have been happoer

I had him put together and install three ceiling fans. He also repaired an outside gate to my back yard. I have several other projects that I needed estimates for and he provided them. Simon knows how to do just about everything. We are going to have him replace some roof tiles, fix our wood shed, and replace our kitchen sink and disposal. He arrived right on time and I am very happy with the work he did and his estimates were reasonable. I recommend Simon.

An excellent deal for the money, they were referred by another Angies's List handyman who was overbooked.

We had a time slot of 2pm to 5pm. At 5pm I called and was told they would be here by 6pm. My husband rushed out to get an errand done and got back just before 6pm. No call no handyman. I called again and just got an answering service. At 6:45pm we sat down to eat and had plans for after that so when we got a call at about 7 I told them I was eating and had plans for the evening it was too late now. I had called in the morning and was willing to wait a few days to get this done but was told no it can be done today. It was a very small job. If they would have called and told me they were running late I could have rescheduled the appointment and been able to relax and eat dinner. I used this company for another small job and they did great. I will not be using them but can not say they are bad at what they do. I can tell you they may not be on time so be ready to reschedule your day if you choose to use them. I have no idea if they are fairly priced. I used a coupon the other time they did the small job for us. It was for 2 hours but the job only took about an hour. I paid them $59 for an hour for that job when all was said and done.

I bought a coupon for another company but they were booked up so they referred me to Simon. Tony did the work and he was great. We just had our house painted. The hooks were left in the walls except for 3 pictures. The three pictures went into dry wall. I am terrible with that sort of thing. I generally leave big holes in the wall. Tony did a great job. He got them in the correct place and used anchors to make sure the pictures did not fall due to being in just drywall. He leveled them too. Next my laundry room door swells and sticks. He took the door off and went outside to shave it. The door looks great can't tell it was shaved. It no longer sticks and is level. The coupon was for 2 hours and this did not use up all the time but that was OK with me. I called last minute and needed the work done yesterday. I have guests coming soon so I wanted the house to look great now not tomorrow. I do not know what the normal rate is for this company. I'll find out next time because I plan on using them again. Tony was very nice, polite and did his job well.

The service was excellent. They did a great job. They met the estimated price and they followed as well.

Mr. Dixon Ronk came to my house for a landscaping estimate and was very rude,extremely tempermental, not open to our suggestions and made several inappropriate comments. His business partner employed very high pressure sales tactics to the point of intimidation. Mr. Ronk was upset at the fact that we had other companies providing estimates as well and that he had to compete with them for our business and made no attempt to hide that fact. I told them that is what I was always taught and that competition allowed for lower prices and the more business you could expose yourself to, the better your choice would be as an educated consumer. At one point, when I told him my wife had started getting estimates while I was away for training, and that I had not even seen my backyard up until I arrived home and bids began to come in, he asked her why she even gave me the address. He also made several profanity laced comments that implied we were ignorant and wasting his time. His business partner tried to "seal a deal" on the spot knowing we had several other proposals pending and would not be swayed when we were not comfortable signing a contract on the spot. We told them we could give an answer within two weeks and the pressure was turned up. We have a brand new home and had two other contractors performing warranty repairs that also witnessed this whole transaction and equally appalled. Buyer beware!

Sharp is always reliable and dependable. They are almost always on time and they perform an A+ job every time. Their pricing is very cheap as well. I am very happy with everything that Sharp has to offer me. I feel their workers are awesome and their attitudes are great. They never leave a mess in my yard either. They are just great to have around. I will probably use this same company for a long time.

Before Sharp came over we had nothing, now we have a beautiful yard, that does not need any maintenance. The crew showed up early on both days of the project, and stayed out of our house while working. They also cleaned the entire area after they were done, and left some of the unused stone at our request.
