Provider did a great job! The estimate was originally $250 but when he came out and saw how bad the palms were (they hadn't been trimmed in two years) the price jumped up a little. (Given the condition of the trees, I had no problem with this since this is kind of the nature of the business.) The provider's crew came out and did a fast job in high temps and were incredibly thorough. They made a HUGE mess and I was shocked to come outside and see how well they had cleaned everything up afterward! Very neat! :) The crew was personable, professional, and very good at their job - I would highly recommend them to my friends!

I got an over the phone estimate of $125 to remove 3 root balls and some roots. The job ended up costing $150 b/c I had an extra root ball that needed removal. The workers were efficient and friendly. They did end up chopping thru some of my pipes from my sprinklers, but offered to come back later that afternoon to fix it, if I went out and bought new parts (thought they should have offered to pay for the parts, but they were not fully convinced that they did the damage). They cleaned up when they were done and were personable.

They are reasonable. It is a Mexican company and they like to deal with cash. I had another company take out a couple of trees a few months ago and they didn't grind the stump and they didn't put the poison. The tree started growing again so these people put the poison and ground the tree. They have been here in the fall and pruned my trees and they pruned them pretty well and pretty good.

I chose this company because two of my neighbors had utilized Sequoia and the work was absolutely beautiful. One neighbor told me that she utilized Sequoia because her regular landscaper had done a terrible job on her trees, and Sequoia repaired that damage and performed a miracle on her trees, restored them, and gave them a beautiful appearance! She said Sequoia's skill and the manner in which they trimmed her trees was completely different than her landscaper who took the quick way out and simply sawed off branches as opposed to trimming them. When she paid Sequoia she was elated with their work and told them so. So that was good enough for me! For my job, the removal of the palm trees was done in a very skilled, organized, and thougtful way. My job was done by the owner but one other person was present to help mostly in clean-up efforts. The owner originally thought he could grind the remaining stump of the high tree closest to the window. When he reached that point, he was afraid to use the grinder because stump debris (composed of tree and even rock) could potentially fly and hit the window. As such, to exercise more control, he did the entire thing using an ax and only grinded when the stump was almost gone. So this took him longer with no extra charge (although I tipped him generously). Upon removal of these trees, especially the tall one, there was so much debris I wondered if the front of my house could ever be totally cleaned! As outstanding a job Sequoia did in removing the trees, they did in cleaning the debris. In fact, they cleaned as they went along, but upon completion, cleaned even more thoroughly. I had asked if he would take some rock from my backyard to fill in the rockscape surrounding where the palm trees had once stood. He made trip after trip to the backyard to ensure he filled everything in beautifully. You can't even tell that rock was taken from my backyard! He worked so efficiently and skillfully and the end result was perfection. You can't tell that a tall, very wide, and ugly palm tree had stood and grown in that spot, and the same for the second tree. These had not been attractive palm trees. I highly recommend Sequoia. My landscape person who I use weekly had quoted me a price of $1,100 to remove my two palm trees, so I believe I made the right decision with Sequoia which was half the price. I highly recommend them for the qualify of the work and the pricing.

. It is a one man operation. He did the job. We had a tall tree 40 feet high and it needed some pruning at the top. He cut some branches off on top and one of the branches got stuck on the tree and had not fallen down. We noticed it long after he had left. We tried to call him back to get rid of it. We called him three times. He found one of our trees deceased and he put the spray on it. That was a good thing. Sometimes it’s how you respond to a problem that makes you stand out and in this case he did not respond. I will not use his service in the future.

Sequoia did a wonderful job with the removal and the trimming. They were very professional and careful not to have any of the branches fall on the house. They cleaned up the entire mess and made my yard look awesome. I would hire them again if it was necessary.
