First of all they need to change their name. Called on Tuesday, they came on Thursday (late afternoon). Wash machine was not spinning or draining. Safety switch needed replacement. Gave me a price of $209 to fix. He had the part on the truck and was able to .install within 30 minutes or so. While he was making out the bill, I gave him the Angie's list discount certificate. He said they always give that anyway so it didn't apply. Out of curiousity, I check to see what that part actually cost and found it was only $29.00. Nice mark up.

I asked my assistant to call based on positive reviews. As soon as it was mentioned that we were a business it was stated briskly we only do residential. When asked if they knew of someone we could call it was stated we don't do referrals. Call was ended. Just want to say thanks for the lack of help.

It went very smoothly. He was on time, discussed the problem; gave me an estimate of the work and I agreed and he did the work. I left him alone and he worked and finished the job. I checked it and looked professional and clean around the workarea.

My wife called Same Day Service Company in the late afternoon and they provided us with an afternoon appointment for the following day. She was told that the technician would call thirty-minute prior to arrival. The following day I received a call as promised and the technician arrived within thirty minutes. The technician worked on the machine for approximately 90 minutes and discovered that a piece of clothing had escaped from the basket and was clogging the drain pump. This clothing was removed and the technician confirmed that the washing machine was operating correctly. The technician showed me the piece of clothing that he found in the pump. He fully explained the repairs that had been done and he left the area spotless. When he provided me with the bill for this service and repair, I noted that it included a 10% discount because we're a member of Angie's List. Excellent work and customer service!

My older gas Maytag dryer stopped heating and with a week of laundry piling up, we were in need of fast repair.Service man came same day. Called at 8:30AM and he came by at 3:30PM. Found problem within minutes but did not have the part on his truck, as my model was older an not so common today. He called to order the part and found he could have it in a day and come back the 2nd day between 11AM and 2PM for the install. He did so, plus cleaned up all the venting and installed new pipes all included in the same price. GREAT WORK!

I called them on a Tuesday and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday. The repairman called me when he was making his schedule and arrived when he said he would. He diagnosed the problem quickly (a faulty ignitor) and fixed the problem. He answered all my questions, told me how to avoid the problem in the future and also helped level the range when finished.

I was required to give them a credit card before they would make the service call. I had wanted them to wait and call me when we knew what the repairs would be, but they would not do it that way. These folks arranged with my tenant to come out to service the washer. Even though the company is called and quot;Same Dayand quot; Service, they were booked up for that day, so it was the next day. The time period when they were to come out was pretty long, so my tenant had to wait for them. When they came out, they determined that a full repair would cost more than purchasing a refurbished washing machine, so I told them not to do the repairs. I just paid the $79.95 service call amount and they then left. All in all the service call turned out to be rather and quot;ordinaryand quot; - OK, but nothing to write home about.

The appointment was sdcheduled by telephone on Monday for next-day service. Unfortunately, due to the volume of business that Bill, the service man, was handling, my visit finally occured at about 5:30pm on Tuesday...pretty well destroyed my vacation day. But, Bill knew what he was doing, he was fast and professional...he worked clean and didn't drag his feet on getting to the heart of the matter in analyzing my dryer problems. He didn't mind my constant hovering, watching every move he made...and, he was very patient in handling all of my questions. His initial inspection took about an hour, and he ordered the parts necessary for the repairs while he was still at my home. The parts were available by Friday morning, but as I had made other plans for the time frame they suggested to do the install, they accomodated me by putting me later in the day on their schedule. They could have been bad about my personal plans and issued an ultimatum or scheduled me a week later just for measure...but, they did not. Bill got to the house at about 5:00pm, got the parts installed, cleaned up the work area and was out of there in under an hour. The company took care of business in as timely a manner as possible, and they have a new fan in me.

I had a leaky washer. He removed the washer and told me that it wasn't the washer, but my plumbing which had a problem. He couldn't fix it because he was not a plumber. He was excellent, on time, and was clean. He was truthful with me. It was a very pleasant experience.

It was a disaster and the person who did the scheduling was clueless.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The technician was very polite, punctual, professional, and highly knowledgable. Even though I has not asked about my dishwasher, he volunteered some useful advice on caring for my dishwasher. Since I need a new fridge, he recommended the brand of refrigerator he likes. He even mentioned a simple thing I can do to keep my new fridge working well. However, it is Same Day Service's policy to charge a minimum $79 for a house visit, even if no work can or should be done. I'd advise the company to lower this to $49 or so. This is kind of apples and oranges, but I had a very good grout cleaning company power clean my entire kitchen counter's grout for $100, and it took a solid hour of labor. Yes, I know grout cleaning is different from inspecting a refrigerator, but $79 just to come out and take a look seems a little high.

As stated above...I will definitely call this business if I ever have an appliance problem in the future. Honesty is most important to me. And I added it to my favorites!

the only thing i could add is that i didn't get home until 6:30pm and bill would be out front waiting for me. i really appreciate same day service and bill for making it convenient for people who aren't home in day time hrs.

He was very professional, punctual, and cleaned up after himself. He was very friendly and offered some tips on operating the dishwasher to help avoid repairs.

The flapper that allows ice cubes to drop down from the freezer had broken off. Bill came out, on time, and determined the problem was not only that the flapper door needed to be replaced but the water dispensing feature was broken. It had been sticking on occasion and I had had another company make that repair twice before and was told it was a design flaw in the dispenser. Actually, the first installer broke it when he put it in. Bill figured that out and told me exactly what had happened. It took about a week for the parts to come in. The repair took about an hour and he even cleaned the coils in the back of the fridge and showed me the best way to do that myself in the future. Fridge runs great, we have water and ice from the door when I want it.

The repairman was professional, clean and courteous. He explained the problem clearly and had the necessary parts with him to complete the repair. The repair was completed quickly and my laundry room was at least as clean when he finished as when he started.
