The initial quote was around 2200 but when we arrived at home he wanted to charge me for an extra thousand. In the end he charged me for like 2500 or 2600 it was a mess. No one calls back until I gave a cheque to them. They were late and even slept on the job. They even placed some of my stuff in dog kennels and some of my stuff were physically damaged. It was terrible.
Description of Work: Safe Load Moving Storage helped me with my moving and relocation. They packed me out last March 27 and unloaded me April 1st.

If you get a quote from this company, figure on double or triple that quote as to what you will actually pay. Let me be clear, we were charged the cost we were quoted for the space that was used. My problem is that the space that was used was three times what we were told it would be. There are industry standards as to how many cubic feet a certain item will need, how many pounds per cubic foot, how much stuff to expect in a two bedroom, three bedroom or whatever size house, etc. My neice told the Customer Rep. that this was a four bedroom house when it was actually only a three bedromm. She wanted to get a quote on the high side so there wouldn't be any huges suprises. We were only taking about a dozen pieces of furniture, most of them small - no couches, only one bed, no appliances, so she gave them a list of exactly what was going. The rest was boxes. The Rep. told her to figure on about fifty boxes but my neice insisted that it had to be more. She told him that there was half of a two car garage, stacked almost to the ceiling with boxes. She estamated ninety boxes, so he baised the quote on this number and told her that was way high. In his quote he only allowed 270 cubic feet for the boxes for a total of 566 cubic feet for the whole load. That's 270 cubic feet for half of a two car garags full of boxes. The load filled a 1600 cubic feet truck with some stuff tide on to the lift gate. With the industry standards, and of course the experience you would expect a qualty, professonal company to have, they should be able to get pretty close to what the actual cost is going to be. Of course they are not going to hit it right on the nose. But I would expect them to be within 10-20%, and at least 30% of the quote. At 50% higher I would start thinking that I had been the victim of the ol' "bait and switch". But even though they did give us some discounts, the final cost was TWO AND A HALF TIMES the original quote. BEWARE
