Ruiter Construction LLC

Elderly mother had installed unit from Ruiter that has broke down after only 3 days short of 3 years. She has been talked to rude and mistreated since she is a senior citizen. Know one has went to here home to check ac and she has warranty. Several attempts were made.

The work has just begun and as of now we are very pleased with everything. Dan has been in contact with us from the beginning (Aug.) from their proposal, among others, until now. He has kept us informed about updates, always returned our calls promptly, and has been very professional and courteous as well as all his workers. The job has only begun and will be a happy to provide an evaluation of services upon completion

My wife and I bought our first house in 2004 and Ruiter Construction took care of the renovations. It seemed like every task they were given turned out to be a disaster. The owner, Chuck Ruiter was very condescending and his staff was downright belligerent. One guy named Dan or Don actually yelled at me because I had moved a lockset while we were moving our furniture in. The workmanship was terrible--no, disgusting. End of the roll linoleum that was cut to the baseboard and filled in with caulking instead of removing the baseboard and fitting the linoleum to the wall studs or the drywall. Water softener was installed in reverse so all the black stuff was rinsed into out pipes and it never did soften the water. I eventually removed it myself. It was so bad that asking them to repair it, or anything, was more trouble than it was worth. I just wanted these guys out of our home and out of our lives. When we first met, Chuck Ruiter asked me, "Do you work in the construction business?". Now I know why he asked me that. Ruiter Construction was hired as a "Contractor", yet they did most of the work themselves. I learned later that this is a serious violation of construction industry protocol. We had a new garage floor poured at the recommendation of an "inspector". The workmanship was pathetic. If I get water on the floor it pools into low spots instead of running to the center of the garage and out under the garage door like it looks like it's supposed to. It was just an all around a horrible experience. We were naive first-time home owners and I feel like we were taken advantage of by both Ruiter Construction and the inspector, in cahoots. I do NOT recommend Ruiter Construction for any type of construction or contracting work.

Ruiter Construction did all the installations properly and I haven't had any problems with my unit since they installed it. I was happy with their work and there is nothing that I would have had them do differently. They did a good job and I would recommend them to anyone.
