I choose Rick's landscaping because of the postive reviews. Rick came on may 22 I belive, and he was on time I showed him the back yard and told him what I wanted done.He gave me an estimate of $1800.00 and knowing what trees and what labor was involved I was satisfied. Rick said with the holiday coming up and as to how busy he was it would have to be June before he could get to it. I expressed I needed it to be done before June 10th, that we were going on vacation for a week.Rick said it would be done before the 10th and that he would call me after the holiday. On June 2nd Rick called and said he would be here Monday the 4th at 7:30am. June 4th arrived and Rick and his crew arrived at7:30am. He had 5 workers and each one knew his job.Two started on the waterfall,two started digging out the large dead treeand the 5th one started on the drip system. When trees were planed they started on the lighting and layed new rock around took out the old stump and trimed the Oleander. They had everything done and cleaned up by 11:30am.I had a $100. coupon if over $1500 and Rick gave me the discount.Best workers I have ever seen,they were polite and cleaned up and I will have them again in fall to do something with the front yard. Their price was higher than another company and I did not use them for this project.

The entire experience was good from beginning to end. Rick has a team that has been working with him for years and they do work together like a well oiled machine. We had a couple of small changes on day one and Rick accommodated them and offered good advice on our future stages. He recommended places to check out things like water features and firepits. Overall, a good experience. We're excited to complete the entire project and see the final results (probably in a year).

Rick is prompt to respond to your call, and he immediately gives you a price and narrative of the job followed by a written agreement. When we had to go to STAR Nursery to pick out plants and trees he met us there promptly and assisted in suggesting what type of plants and size will fit our plan. He is very patient and you feel he arranges the plants as his own yard. He supervised his experienced crew that you can see have worked many hours along side eachother and knew what they were doing. The work was flawless!

Rick seemed to be on the telephone most of the time while his crew of (2) worked on the yard. . He charged me $150 an hour to come out the next day after calling him. Once he was there, he said it would be a quick fix and I requested he come back the following week at the rate of $75/hour if it would be a long time. He said he was an expert and it ended up taking him 2 and a half hours. The new piece was replaced but he did not leave the older one, which was brand new and put in 2 days ago. This piece costed $58-$60. He called his plumber friend to come over and replace the part which he was unable to, which was a higher rate because he had to come over with no prior notice. The plumber replaced a my old toilet with a new toilet I already had in the garage. I think he took advantage of me. I would not use him or his plumber friend again. There were many red flags and I feel he was very dishonest with me. He seemed to stretch out the job to up his total price because these fixes should not have taken so long.

Rick is easy to work with and performs as he said he will. We found him on Angie's list and he came out with to discuss what we needed. He then returned with a well-drawn out plan and sample of artificial turf he would install. We had to get approval from our Architectural Committee which took approx. 3 weeks. When I call to say plans had been approved, he was here the next day to put in our beautiful new yard.

They did the work soon after the estimate. They were very thorough and professional. The price was close to the estimate. The yard and trees look great! Highly recommend!

I was referred to Rick's from another company who said they were too busy. Rick's advised his minimum price by phone. I thought it was high but maybe in line with the high-price area where I live. I had no prior yard work done here, and I had nothing to compare with. I advised him the estimate (minimum quoted) was acceptable and made and appointment. He called a few days later and requested and received an extension in the start date. He met this date only about an hour late. He was there to verify the work with me and gave me his firm price and they began the work. He departed leaving three men doing the work. They finished about three hours later, all work was satisfactory and done everything in the work request. The quality of the work reflected they are an experienced professional company. I would consider using them again, at least for planting work.

Rick answered the phone every single time that I called. I can't say how comforting that was. I over watered my lawn this summer and parts of it died off. I needed to have it all taken out and re-sodded. I got several quotes and Rick's was not the cheapest, but it was decent and he was much more professional. The day of the demo/install I had to leave early. The job was done before I even got back. They also cleaned and adjusted my sprinkler heads. Thanks Rick!

Amazing! Showed up on time, very clean workmanship, very knowledgeable, finished ahead of time. We are very pleased with Rick and his staff and we've set up a scheduled maintenace with him.

I would have given this company an A except for Rick never called to set up the appointment for them to do the work. The crew showed up today and was ready to work, I had no idea they were coming. Eric (forman) was great and his crew did a fabulous job! Eric is the one that came out initially and gave the estimate. I will use this company again!

The service went extremely well. I had the owner of the company out for a survey and was given an estimate at that time. Once the proposal was accepted, the owner set a date. On the evening before the work commenced, a dumpster was delivered by the owner to facilitate the removal of all waste and dead foliage. On the morning of the work date, the crew arrived promptly and finished the entire job in less than twelve hours. The front area of my home was transformed. The owner of the service was present, available, and more than willing to discuss the entire process with me. Once the work was finished, the entire area was completely cleaned and finished by the owner and the crew. The final payment was not one penny more than the original estimate. Rick's Landscaping did a wonderful job and I am so happy to have found the service!

I realized my back yard plants and trees started looking pretty bad. Checked for water. None! Emailed Rick on a Friday and told him I was leaving on vacation on Monday, and asked if he could at least give me an estimate on fixing the back yard drip. Called me on Saturday morning, came over at about 1 pm. The system was completely messed up with the timer and celinoid(?). Anyway, took him about two hours of intensive testing. He found old parts of my system not in use, and rigged it to work perfectly. It is now hooked up to the timer and he also suggested how and when to set the timer. Wonderful! Will definately call him again.

This was a complete waste of my vacation time. Had Rick bothered to really read my email, he could have saved BOTH of us considerable time and energy.

We were working under a budget and found Rick to be much more gracious and accommodating than the other landscapers. When we shared our budget, his competition literally laughed at us. They suggested they could complete portions of the job within our budget and consequently took their time in responding with their quotes. Not Rick! He worked with us to gently reset our expectations. At the same time, we could see Rick "stretch" himself and our budget to accomplish what we absolutely required (front and back). He was prompt and professional. In addition, he was a savvy business professional. He understood there was alot of addiitonal work that needed to be contracted (more than what we were asking him to quote). Rick worked hard, built our trust and earned a good portion of that additional business! As for the final result ... all I can say is that Rick is an ARTIST! He seriously exceeded our expectations!! There was no way we could have envisioned the amazing contours and "movement" he created in our front yard. He used two distinctive sizes of cappuccino-colored rock, a technique that I haven't seen in our beautifully landscaped neighborhood ... but that created an intersting and more natural looking landscape. Even his work in the back yard transformed a very nice atmosphere and pool area into a Mediterranean RESORT! He seemed to know just the right plants & placement to make the difference. What REALLY impressed us, however, is that he actually made an extra trip to purchase and install more plants than we contracted (and at no charge to us). He added a only a handful of plants, but the gesture demonstrated that Rick was too much of an artist and professional to leave the job looking less than he thought he could accomplish! Since he completed the job, he's visited our home to check on the plants at least once (he stopped by when working another job nearby). In addition, we're currently experiencing a minor issue with a few lights in one section of our back yard. This is a tricky area where Rick had to integrate his work with the previous owner's electrical system. As always, he's been responsive to our calls and I know he'll schedule time to work therough the issue over next few days. How do I know this? Because this process took us two months, multiple visits, untold number of phone calls and a visit to our homeownwer association to work through. We've developed enough of a relationship to absolutely trust that Rick will stand behind his work! In summary, we highly recommend Rick's Lawn & Landscaping! He's proved himself to be a good guy, a great landscaper and a trustworthy business professional. I guess we learned that, once again, father's are always right!! Thanks for the referral, dad!

I call Rick and told him what I needed, he responded to my call at once..Came out suggested I wait one more week till all seed pods bloomed. He sent out a crew of 3 men.. One scaled the Palm tree and cut off all the dead fronds and seed pods. The other two cleaned the area and removed all cuttigns.. They did a great job.

I called Rick's Lawn and Landscaping for a meeting discuss and bid yard cleaning, tree trimming and watering system repair at my home. Rick was on time for our appointment and very professional. Competitive landscaping services told me my property watering system needed costly replacement. After testing the sprinkler system, Rick concluded that minor changes and adjustments were needed to the existing system to get it running properly, saving me hundreds of dollars! Rick's crew arrived at the scheduled time and quickly cleaned the debris (tons of pine needles) from my yard, trimmed shrubs and trimmed trees. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. I was impressed by the follow up and the fantastic customer service! I will definitely call Rick's Lawn and Landscaping again this spring.

The experience was excellent. He was prompt and competitive. He did what he said he was going to do. He got it done with a professional crew. I did recommend them to my family members. He did my daughter’s lawn. He’s trust worthy. Their price was competitive. I would use their services again in the future.

Rick and his folks were extremely professional. They were able to schedule me pretty quickly and were resonably priced. I will call them again for maintenance yard work.

Rick was clear and prompt in making his estimate, which was competive. He and his crew did what they said, when they said. The entire operation was efficient and professional. They even brought thier own toilet utilities.

Not only did Rick do a great job, knowing that I was moving, he checked back on multiple occassions to reset the sprinkler timer and to mow the lawn before the new tenants moved it. I am very impressed with his level of professionalism.

rick also does lawn and yard maintenance, but this tends to run a little high because of his large crew.

It was a great experieince, the company was very timely and they provided the exact expected outcome.
