+ -1 moreThe representatives were nice and the work went well. The job seemed good. Until one of the windows started leaking. I called and contacted them concerning repair. About a month later a representative came by and agreed that the repair was needed. It is now tow months and several leaks later and they are refusing to answer my calls and letter. And the inspector no longer works for them! I guess I shouldn't have expected a warranty; even though it is state mandated. I have filed a claim with the state contractor's board
Description of Work: I had 6 exterior doors with windows replaced.

+ 0 moreI met with Joe Altree for an estimate to replace an 8 foot sliding glass door. Joe was on time and professional but seemed uninterested in the job as it was small in scale compared to their usual bid. I was unable to find much information on the brand of door they planned to use so I ended up using another company for the job. There was no follow up after the estimate.

Description of Work: In October 2014, we agreed to have a new front entry door installed on our home. On 10/29/14, we paid half of the cost, $5000. The door was ordered, and came in around Christmas. The project was started in January. When the door was finally installed, I believe around February 1st, you could see daylight around the frame. There were 5 or 6 different shades of "mahogany" colors between the frame, door and other various trim pieces. The door itself look like it was faded, needed more coats of stain. There are still unfilled nail holes and there's a screw in the threshold that should be covered with a cap or plug. The original paint job was horrendous. We waited for someone to contact us about finishing the work. It had not been seen by the rep that sold us the door, we thought he'd come and make sure it was done properly. I believe they hired someone to actually stain and install the door. When we spoke to them about looking at the flaws, we informed them that we had not received a final bill either. When I received my next credit card bill, I discovered the second half, $5000, had been charged the day after we let them know about it not being paid yet. |There is still issues with this job, and they know it. The inside frame was stained very poorly, and stain bled into the paint all the way around the frame. |Our neighbors have stopped to point out flaws. I would never use this company again. This was not worthy of the amount we paid. We're in the 5th month of this project. I need to hire someone to finish the job, or do it ourselves. |
