Since we were living out of town at the time the house was being built, we had to make all the plans and arrangements either by phone, or mainly through eMail. We selected several styles we liked from their ((( http://www.proficientpatios.com ))) web page and narrowed it down to one favorite. Brian gave us a quote on the basic cover plus several options for us to work with. We made our choices, then tentatively scheduled the install based upon our anticipated closing date on the house. Proficient Patios was very flexible in the starting date and once we could get them on site, they got moving right away. The project took longer than we expected, mainly due to delays in the inspection process. ((( Inspector not showing up when scheduled. ))) Other than that, the whole process went quite smoothly. These folks really do sweet work, and we couldn?t be happier with the results. Thank you to Brian, Bobbi Jo and the entire Proficient Patios team ! !

Perfect! They worked with me without any problems. They Patio Cover is beautiful, the people in the office are extremely helpful. The people who installed my patio cover were on time, respectful, worked quickly and work was completed on time. Now they will be installing wood flooring in December!

The job was delayed (less than a week) due to their supplier. But once the materials were in, they were very quick at installing and it looks great.

The work started in May and it was completed in June, so it was over 3-4 weeks. They were very punctual and very professional. They delivered what they had promised as far as the type of patio and cover. They did a great job.

I decided that it was time to get a patio cover to provide shade for my yard so I took to Angie's List to find some reputable companies capable of the work. I called several and included this company in my search. I placed a call to schedule an estimate on about 4/26/12. I was told that it would take a few days to get someone out to my home. They were busy with projects and that was fine. The woman that answered the phone and took my appointment was professional and courteous. We scheduled the appointment for the following Tuesday about 5 days out. I needed a late day appointment to accommodate my work schedule and it was booked for 6pm. The day before the appointment the estimator called to ask if he could shuffle me around and stop by earlier. I told him that I could not. That I had set the appointment after my work for a reason and that was the time I set aside. He stated that he maybe running late probably closer to 7pm. I told him that it was okay. On the night of the appointment I did not receive a phone call until nearly 8pm as it was getting dark. He asked if I still wanted him to come over. He was about 20 minutes away. We agreed that it would most likely be too late. He asked about my landscaping and I reminded him that my appointment was for a patio cover only. We rescheduled for an early appointment in two days on a Thursday morning before I went to work. I waited at home on that day. He was a no show and didn't call either. As I type this 5 more days have passed with no word. Needless to say I won't be doing business with this company in the future. Upon reflecting on the late night phone call I got the feeling that I was suddenly less important since I was only requesting a patio cover and not landscaping too. The estimator/sales rep seemed a little scattered and unorganized during our call. He kept apologizing and telling me how busy he was. I didn't really care and just wanted him to commit to a time and place. Somewhere along the line there was a breakdown in my request. Scheduling and time management seem to be an issue. It makes me uneasy about their attention to detail and quality of work. Be careful.

They were prompt and cleaned up well. Everything we asked them to do, they did. There wasn't any surprises. we were well pleased and had no complaints at all. I don't think they were the cheapest, but we liked their presentation and what they said. They sent two men out, and they got it done in half a day.

I got three bids. Proficient Patios was the only bidder that had photo's of their product and who discussed options with me. For the bear bones option they were the low bid. With the upgrades I selected they were still very competative. Work was scheduled and performed in a timely work men like manner. I am very pleased and would use this company again.

First let me say that the end product is great and we are very happy with it. We did have a few problems along the way but they were quickly corrected. The good: The product is just as described and we are very pleased that we now have a patio cover that is higher than our previous cover and also has 3 less posts which helped to open up the view from the back windows. We have a typical Las Vegas back yard so this helps to make it feel a little larger. We opted for an open lattice style to allow some sunlight during the day and it has worked out perfectly. We had two other companies come out to do estimates and Matt was the only one who seemed comfortable doing the higher installation which is why we went with him. We have a single-story home and didn't want to cut into the roof tile. Matt's guys were efficient and friendly. Ashley was our main contact in the office and she was extremely helpful and great at providing information regarding who/what/when. She also helped to coordinate work with the company that was working on pavers in our back yard during the same time. We needed to coordinate the new footings with the paver installation. The not so good: The materials were delivered and once the guys brought everything into the back yard they left because of the dust being created by the guys working on the pavers. They were scheduled to begin work so I called the office to find out why they left. I was told they didn't want to work with all of the dust so I asked them to come back and take the beams away so they weren't in the way. They did eventually come back and re-scheduled for the following week. When the cover was installed it was at the wrong height so I called Matt and asked him to take a look. He agreed that the cover was not at the height as promised and had it removed and replaced. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding regarding the timing of the replacement. The cover was removed on Friday and Matt had indicated they would work on Saturday to do the installation. No one showed on Saturday morning so I called the office and left a message which was not returned until Monday. Because the patio cover was originally installed at the lower level and then moved up, there were holes and marks left in the flashing and the fascia board which needed to be painted. Matt's guys took care of this and it's not too noticeable. Special notes: Do not leave a message as they don't seem to get picked up. Work with Ashley, she's the best in the office and will call you back as promised and will make sure she has answers for you. If you see something that's not right while the work is being performed call Matt right away and have him talk to the workers. I don't know spanish so communication was difficult. The overall experience was good and the patio cover is beautiful.

Matt was very professional and right off the bat you knew he knew his business well. Looking forward to working with him in designing our patio cover.

Matt, President presented such an extraordinary presentation and was so professional, it was a no brainer that I would do business with him. He also saved me $350 from a different bid. His showroom and his staff really sold me. They were great. Both Eugene and Leo arrived on time and worked from start to finish without taking a break. They cleaned up after themselves and left me with a wonderful new patio cover. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone I know.

It was great. They were really good. They were almost half the price of the first place I called. They were nice to work with and we really like it.

PROFICIENT PATIO COVERS - Awnings They were very responsive, very timely, very professional. The owner had came out and measured, gave us a detailed plan. It was a Cadillac presentation. Proficient Patio Covers was excellent, and has a good product. The proposal they had submitted was quite nice. We ended up going with another company The reason was based on pricing, and our budget.

They did a couple of finer things, but they didn’t clean work place after the work was done. They put some of the left over concrete in the corner of my yard. They put in the cover in the back porch, but they could have done it a little bit better by spacing a few columns. If there is a need, I would use them again in the future too.

The process went well because the owner was accommodating and easy to work with. He had never before installed adjustable louvres in a wall position and initially recommended fixed lattice walls or roll-down shades. After I persisted in saying I wanted adjustable louvres, he agreed to modify overhead (ceiling) patio covers to fit the side openings of my patio. The installation went well. The workers were very knowledgeable and worked quickly and professionally. However, the sun came in around the louvres where they could not fit tightly against the walls. The owner surveyed the situation and suggested an attractive framing to block the sun. It worked perfectly.

We had no problem at all. I would definitely recommend them to others. I am very thorough and they were very simple to deal with. They did a nice job!
