Precision Overhead Door of Las Vegas

Sometime between going to breakfast and a later appointment in the day, the spring on our 22 year old garage door broke. Our car was trapped in the garage and it was terrified. I called my son to come help me raise the door as it is insulated and quite heavy. I went on line to price a new spring for the door. When this door was installed in 1993, it only had 1 spring. Due to code changes, all doors require 2 springs now. I figured it was time to call someone for that. I remembered seeing Precision Garage Door of Las Vegas while researching the spring on line. I remembered the ad said they would be out within 2 hours and they were 24/7, so I gave them a call at 702-891-5266. We were at an appointment when I contacted them. The young lady on the phone was very nice and explained that they would have come even in the middle of the night at no extra charge. I told her we would be home by 10:30 so she scheduled a 2 hour window of 10 to noon. We arrived home at 10:20 and their tech, Stephen Springfield, rolled in at about 10:45. Stephen was well groomed and nicely dressed with his pants around his waist, not down around his butt crack. We talked the whole time he was here. He didn't mind a bunch of questions about the door and its maintenance. He showed me what to watch for in the future as it is an older door. I explained to him that there was only so much money in the budget and he did not try to pressure me into any more than I could afford. He had to make some changes to the install as 2 springs take up more room than 1. As with so many other garages around, I have stuff all over the place and he had some tight quarters to work in, but no complaints were heard. He did the install, lubricated the points that needed it while showing me what to be on the lookout for in the future. When he completed the install and got everything just right, you could hardly hear the door go up and down. He took the old parts with him and you could not tell anybody had been there except for the door working so well. After pricing the springs on line and seeing how I could have killed myself getting those springs adjusted properly, the $325.00 was money well spent. I will definitely be calling Precision Garage Door for any other needed door repairs.

The door was ordered and actually came in early. The tech was there early, had the new door up and running in less than 2 hours. We couldn't be happier

When the brace to the door broke, I was trapped in the garage since I could not open the door. I went to the phone book for help and found your services. While speaking to the receptionist, she called me by my first name. I asked her how she knew my name and said I had used your serves before. Needless to say I was surprised. She then said she could send someone out first thing in the morning. I told her that since I was a one car, one driver household, I really needed to get this fixed this evening if possible. The hinge broke at approximately 4:00pm. She told me she would have a technician call me and it would be taken care of that evening. Needless to say I was surprised by the quick response by your technician Stephen. He was very professional and told me everything he was going to do to repair the door. When finished, told me the work order would appear on line and all the appropriate charges would be listed. Ask for his card so the next time I have a garage door problem, I'll know who to call.

The technician was on time and fixed the problem in under 2 hours. He explained everything very well and did an excellent job.

The tech showed up on time made a phone call to his office because this was a older style model garage door opener and with in a few minuets the new remotes for the garage door was working like a champ.

I looked it up on Angie's List. We were pleased, but it was very expensive. I am not sure they gave me all the things they could give me off. They came over and estimated. Anything that goes wrong they are the ones that come back. They use people that get a piece of it, that's what I am thinking. That's for me to find out. They came immediately and I did not have to wait. There were a couple of them, Douglas was the last name of one of them. They were very nice and wanted to come and put it right in. The service on those was great. They come 24 hours, seven days a week. I can get on there and see who is in my area and their company has all the vitals on including who they are and what they do. I can use that because it is easier for me. The guys left some dirt in the garage and my husband was really unhappy because we are both in wheelchairs and can't do anything.

Adam came out Friday night to look at our broken garage door. Adam explained our options, we decided to buy new door. Adam came back on Saturday and installed new door. Adam was very professional and we are happy with the new door.

Everything was completed with comparative ease. He was very considerate of the fact that I am on crutches and walking on the incline to get in/out of my car was a bit difficult and he remained in his vehicle, watching until I was in my car and had moved it into the garage before he left. I felt this was a very nice gesture.

The garage door opener died over the weekend and we called early Monday morning to have a technician evaluate the work that needed to be done. They came out very quickly and perfomed the work all within the same day. The technician was very polite, professional and friendly. He went over and above what needed to be done - cleaning up around the emergency shutoff guides, adjusting the track for the garage door, and even replaced the light bulb in the door opener!! We would definitely recommend this company to others.

Andrew is a real professional - he showed me what was wrong with my door performance - made suggestions how to fix the problems - did the work - checked it all out - educated me on proper maintenance and showed me capabilities i was unaware off - this guy is good, competent, patient and very professional - i would definitely use his service again.

Called on Saturday evening after my old spring snapped in half. Could not get my garage door open to get cars in or out. Given a holiday weekend I immediately called Precision Overhead Door after finding them on google and confirming them on Angies List. I was given a 2 hour window when repairman would call. In 15 mins Stephen called stating he was on his way. He arrived very promptly and was very courteous. Before he did anything he evaluated what happened and what had to be done to fix the problem. He gave me 3 options all being a bit pricey. I went with the second option and he did all the work as stated. He was great explained step by step what he was doing. It was a pleasure dealing with someone very professional. The only thing was the price. After he left I did some research and it looked like I paid 15 pct more than the competitors. But nevertheless the work was done to my satisfaction.

First off, Jeff Micheloni is very professional, knowledgeable, and just a very pleasant guy. The last time I needed work on my garage door, he did the service and is still the same personality. When he left, the door ran more smoothly and was much quieter than before. Would definitely use them again and really appreciate a job well done.

The 2 men arrived on time. They inspected my garage door and noted that the door was a good one, but the framing support should have been installed with screws instead of nails. The ceiling supports were also missing cross-struts for stabilization. They added the struts, replaced the 2 light bulbs and the battery in the opener. They also advised me to get an electrician to install a dedicated outlet for the opener unit. Normally they would replace the wheels in the tracks, but the wheels were a good quality and in excellent shape. All they needed was lubrication. The door is 14 or 15 years old.

Technician replaced spring and tension bar, lubricated all moving parts, replaced tracks, replaced board for remote controlled door openers, reinforced a small break in door panel. The technician was very thorough in his examination of the door and repairs needed,was very knowledgeable about the repairs, and extremely thorough in his explanation of the services required. He completed the work in a timely manner. Since the parts for the board needed to be ordered, a second visit was required. In 3 days upon receipt of the parts, the technician returned and completed the necessary repairs. He made sure that the door was fully functional and that I was satisfied with the repairs. I was completely satisfied and I would recommend them highly to others.

Called Precision on Thursday at approx. 4:30 pm explaining the gear had broke on the door opener. Jonathon was at the door before 6. Jonathon inspected the door explained the problem and a couple of other issues. While explaining the issues other than the gear and sprocket there was no pressure to do anything other than the gear and sprocket. Johnathon explained these were thing that were starting to wear as the door is 8 years old. We opted to replace the rollers also while he was already at the house. The repairs were done in the time and dollars quoted. This is not the first time we have used Precision and they will be the ones I call in the future should I need work on our garage door.

Estimate was done on a Saturday and the garage door was installed on the following Monday. Excellent job.

Very good communication with the dispatcher and the technician. The dispatcher stated they could have someone at my home by 9:30 AM they were here at 9:15 and they called first. The technician had the parts in his vehicle and had the door fixed in about an hour and 15 minutes. Went over the documentation and parts used. emailed itemized receipt that day. Precision is a higher priced than many of the garage door companies in the valley but they are the best.

Precision Overhead Door has been my service provider since 2012. This job was done well and the technician was very professional. We couldn't have been more pleased! I would highly recommend this company.

After performing the services, the door operated without the "screeching" noise (probably caused by the old rollers or the lack of proper lubricant) and no longer came to a loud/abrupt stop when opened. The technician provided additional information such as the type of lubricant to use and how often, the value of ball-bearing type rollers over plastic rollers. He also cautioned not to use lubricant on springs as well as informed me of the dangers of attempting to replace them without proper training by a professional.

Within 2 hrs of calling they had a tech at my house. Adams was polite and gave two options for the fix. He worked quickly and cleanly. Overall very happy.

I discovered one morning that the garage door would lift only partway. I noticed the overhead spring had snapped. I called this company because I had them work on my door once before when the overhead track had to be repaired. The service person then was very professional, efficient and proficient. He checked out the entire door mechanism in addition to the repair including oiling all hinges and making sure no bolts or screws were missing. The service person this time arrived in a timely manner. He was polite and answered all questions. I was concerned about the price of the overall service. He said it was the normal charge. I opted for the cheaper springs which lessened the overall cost. The service person tried to convince me that the more expensive springs came with a lifetime warranty and that the springs I purchased had only a one-year warranty. The springs that were replaced also came with a one-year warranty and had never been replaced since the house was built more than 10 years ago. I later learned from neighbors who had the same service provided by different companies that the services I purchased were more expensive by $150.00 Time will tell whether what I paid is worth the quality of service and product provided.
