+ -1 moreI called Mitch in the morning about a sprinkler leak and he was able to come out that afternoon to fix it. It seems one of the previous owners must have put in the system themselves as it wasn't designed well, but Mitch was able to find a solution with a little extra patience and gave sound advice on some improvements that could be made going forward. Very pleasant person to work with and true to his word. I will definitely work with him again.

+ -1 moreFor the past 14 months, four of the landscape lights in my backyard did not work properly. They would come on for a few days or weeks at a time, then stop for no apparent reason. I replaced all the bulbs, but it made no difference. After hiring an electrician, and two different individuals who were "experienced" in landscape lighting to address this problem, the problem persisted. After reading the reviews on Angie's List about Mitchell Manis at Perfection Landscape, LLC, I contacted him on a weekend. He quickly returned my call. After hearing my story, he agreed to come over the very first day I was free, which was the following Thursday. He spent almost two hours checking out the entire lighting system in the backyard. (He did not charge me for this time). He pointed out that the wiring was undersized for the amount of lights I had installed, and the wiring had been spliced in several different places. The wiring was also cracked in several spots. Although I had upgraded the transformer to accommodate additional landscape lights over the years, no one had ever suggested I upgrade the wiring. MItchell suggested that this would be the best solution long term, and I agreed. Mitchell brought his three-man crew to replace all the wiring in the backyard three days later. It took the four of them almost five hours, working non-stop. When they were done, all the wires and the new connectors were concealed and the backyard was left in perfect shape. Everything is now working exactly as it should, and I am enjoying my backyard once again. Mitchell is also very knowledgeable about plants, and he gave me a lot of good tips for my existing landscaping, and ideas for future improvements.

The day the work was to be done they arrived when scheduled and all of them were very nice and polite. The irrigation was installed, tree and plants trimmed and yard cleaned up, my yard has never looked so good. I am so happy with the way my yard looks I will definitely use them again.

Not only is he an expert in both landscape lighting and watering, but he was comfortable with the mix of components that made up my system. Over the year a variety of people made changes to the water and electrical lines. He handled all those issues gracefully. He found and fixed the water leak and replaced a component in the lighting control area. In all, a great job at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Mitch understood what I needed done, and was very knowledgeable about what the various plants in my quasi-desert landscaping needed to thrive and why some of them weren't doing very well. He explained everything that was being done, consulted with me about options, and even schooled me on the operation of the irrigation controller. His guys were also obviously very experienced as well as extremely hard working and courteous. It was the most positive experience I've had with landscape professionals in Las Vegas.

+ 0 moreAvoid this company! I asked for a quote on yard cleanup and irrigation review and he wanted to charge me $125 for a "consultation". He did not explain this when we spoke over the phone. He gave me a quote for $700 to do the yard cleanup, which I accepted. He then called me back to tell me that I owed him $125 for the consultation. I agreed to pay him $75 for the consultation (even though he apologized for not explaining this to me and said that he wouldn't charge me) plus the $700 for the yard cleanup. He was supposed to come on Sunday to do the cleanup but never showed up and did not return my calls.

After searching through various landscape companies on Angie's List, I decided on Perfection Landscape. Communication was good and they showed up when scheduled. The quality of work was excellent... my yard looks great and Mitch dialed in/repaired my irrigation system. Mitch also labeled all my sprinkler zones above the control panel. Nice! I think what sets Perfection Landscape apart from most other companies is that the owner is actively involved in the company.

Description of Work: Cleaned up back yard, trimmed bushes and trees and fertilized one tree that needed help.Fixed our sprinkler system which was being blocked by a tree root. + 0 moreSuperb! At the end, the back yard had a graceful edging which followed the garden beds in a most eye pleasing manner. The overgrown rosemary bush got a new great "Picasso" shape. The pavement around the garden beds were swpet clean and the powdery stuff on the rocks was hosed down. Mr. Mitch Manis closely supervised the wrok while it was done and added his own touches. He is a knowledgeble professional with an artistic eye. He also examined the previously planted oleander bushes that we forgot to water for 2 months and were worried we might have damaged them. In his low key manner he re-assured us they will be OK . Mr. Manis is a true perfectionist delivering most pleasing landscaping results. When we go in our backyard we just stare at it and take in its beauty, all alive and in balance. Thank you Mitch Manis !
Description of Work: Phase 2 backyard lanscaping: removed old lawn borders, installed scalloped brick edging all around lawn and bsuhes in the backyard, added color matched gravel to the backyard garden beds, trimmed the palm tree, trimmed a rosemary bush, examined the oleander bushes we forgot to water for 2 months, left a clean pavement when the work was completed, took away all debris.

+ 2 moreI have finally found an "Owner" who works along side his crew and ensured that everything was done to my satisfaction. Most often, the "Owners" meet with me for an estimate and then you never see them again. When you complain to the weekly crews, the messages get lost because they do so many houses in a day. After Mitch's performance today, he knows every inch of my 1/2 acre property. I think that after 26 years, I have finally found the "Perfect" company. I have hired him to provide me with weekly maintenance and my property was a wreck from the last company. It was only fair for him to be able to start my weekly maintenance making sure that everything was working properly first. His price was extremely reasonable because he had three people working from 6-7 hours here. Now we can begin the weekly maintenance.
Description of Work: Mitch and his crew really did an excellent job of trimming the hedges and trees, checking all the lighting systems (both back and front), the irrigation systems (both back and front) and replaced irrigation heads , rewired lighting and put in new bulbs and finally set the correct time for my lighting, fountains and drip system timers. My house was a wreck: with lights burned out, water running into the street, irrigation heads missing or not turned on at all, lighting fixtures needing to be replaced, lighting going on in the day, and my fountains going on and off at the wrong time. There are just too many things to mention because they were here for over 6 hours.

+ 3 moreMr. Mitch Manis came to the house and evaluated on site our needs for updating the landscape, sprinkling system and low voltage lighting ( the solar light sticks we had did not perform very well). Mitch: -- took time to describe to us different types of plants that would do well in our microclimate. -- presented a comprehensive plan to us, that met our needs, at a reasonable price. -- proceeded to make the plan a reality in a timely manner. The crew was excellent. Some of the work done was very close to the pool, yet no debris fell in the pool. The place was left clean. Mitch made a follow up visit and gave us advise on what to do to help the plants take roots. All plants he picked up are healthy and are what we had in mind. At the end, we loved the results. We would not change a thing. It is both quality work as well as artistry in the way the plants and lighting were set up. Thank you Mitch!

+ 2 moreI called Mitch on August 12th to help with getting my front lights to work with a new transformer as well as mounting a transformer in the backyard. Also, I asked him to test my watering system as some of my plants were dying. Mitch came over promptly and repaired the work that needed to be done. He even buried some exposed water lines in the backyard that should not have been left exposed by another landscape company. Mitch gave me a full in depth analysis as to what was wrong with my present situation involving my entire yard, lighting, etc. He was timely and efficient. This is the second time I have used Perfection Landscape (Mitch came over last year , too.) Mitch is very pleasant and cares about making sure things are done right. I would hire him again in a minute! It is good to have someone to call who knows what he is doing. Thank you, Mitch.

+ 2 moreMitch came out the day after I called and spent considerable time going over our yard with me and explaining what they would do to make it look attractive again. Estimate was $1,000. He and his crew arrived 4 days later as promised to get started on the work. They trimmed two long hedges in the backyard, trimmed three Phoenix palms and another palm that requires special trimming. They removed three large shrubs and replaced them with ones that were more suitable for our yard. Mitch had gone to the nursery and picked them out himself. Our overgrown shrubs in the front yard were trimmed beautifully. During the 24 years that we've lived in our home, three landscapers said they couldn't find small rocks to match those that cover our yard. Mitch found almost a perfect match. They were brought to our house and his men spread them out. He and his crew did more than I asked for and his estimate is what we paid ($1,000). They are an outstanding company and we will certainly use them again.

+ 1 moreI thought Mitch and his team did a great job for a very fair price. They worked on two separate days. The first day they were there from about 9:30-7:30 and did a lot, taking out a bunch of ugly bushes in the front yard and replacing them with some stepping pavers next to my driveway on one side, and some more attractive plants on the other side. They added some sod in some dead spots in the front, and then got to work in the backyard. They completely removed my old lawn, which was looking pretty ratty with lots of dead spots and 3 different kinds of grass and lots of weeds. They took out a line of bushes that my wife didn't care for, and put a bunch of plants where those bushes were and in another spot that needed some work. They adjusted all the sprinkler lines accordingly. I wanted to wait to add the new sod in the backyard until I had some other work completed, so about a month later they came back and put in the new sod and adjusted all the backyard sprinklers, which took over a half a day's work. The workers were very friendly and did a great job. Mitch was there the whole time to oversee the project and was very upfront that I was the boss and anything I said goes. The first time the new sod patches in the front yard didn't take, so when they came back they redid the sod and they have been growing very well ever since. Both the front and backyards look really great now, it is a pleasure to see my house from the street and hang out in the back and have my son waddle around on the lush grass. They really took a lot of time to make sure the sprinklers were going to do a good job of watering the lawn, and it has shown with how well it is doing. Mitch made me feel like he really cared about his work and that if I wasn't satisfied he would come and make it right. I definitely recommend him and would use Perfection in the future if the need arises.
Description of Work: Tore out ugly bushes in front and back yard, put paver steps where one bush was, planted new plants where ugly plants once grew. put new sod in dead and brown patches in front yard. Completely took out old weedy grass in back yard and replaced with new sod. Made sure all sprinklers were spraying correctly and in the right spots.
