We hired Joe to design and build our dream backyard, pool, spa and entire back yard. We visited Joe's offices about 8 times to revise our design using the latest virtual software that let us move lines and objects and see the results immediately. After a very detailed design process, we engages Paragon to build the pool. The result is spectacular (see photos). Throughout the process, Craig the construction manager stayed in constant contact with us with updates and excellent communication. Since we are pretty particular, we asked them to redo the finish on one section of the spa which was done meticulously and with grace. I would have no hesitation in recommending Joe and the Paragon team - exceptional work and service.

They did a very good job. The price included solar heating on the roof. Everything came out very good. Everything was fine. They were punctual. They came out when they said they would. They passed all the inspections. After they finished, we did not have any problems with it for quite a long time. They charged what they quoted. They are probably more expensive than some because they over engineer. They give you better equipment with more capacity than other pool companies do. We got a bigger pump than we really need. It does not overwork. We have not had any problems with it. We are happy with the price. They were always on time.
Description of Work: We have a pool and we used Paragon Pools twelve years ago. They started from scratch. They came while our home was under construction.

Our project remains incomplete after approximately 10 months. Paragon and their subcontractor's work was plagued with defects from the start: Paragon ignored our written pool setback requirements, and the pool was initially excavated in the wrong location. After much argument and cost to us to correct their error, the gunite shell was constructed, but we had to pay out of our pocket (again) to re-consolidate soil surrounding the pool shell. Portions of the In-floor pool plumbing were installed in incorrect locations, and remains so as a result of gunite completion. Pool cleaning system actuator was not located in yard per plan, and Paragon (again) requested that we pay to correct their error. Patio footings were excavated in the wrong locations multiple times, were still not correct when concrete was poured, and were ultimately removed (and still don't exist). Our front yard was torn up for weeks (delaying landscaping progress) because the plumber couldn't properly install the casita building sewer pipe and pass inspection. The (improperly licensed) casita/poolhouse subcontractor transposed our building dimensions resulting in defective building engineering and pre-fab construction materials. After almost constantly defective work, and what we view as lack of project management and a stubborn refusal to properly address errors, we reported Paragon to the Nevada State Contractors Board. As a result, Paragon was cited and fined for (3) violations: Paragon was not properly licensed to contract our casita/poolhouse in the first place, Paragon knowingly subcontracted the casita/poolhouse to a contractor not licensed to build it, and Paragon collected payments too far ahead of construction progress. Paragon has, so far, accepted the Board's citations and paid the associated fines, but Paragon continues to ignore our demand for the return of overpaid construction payments and any of the money we paid them for a building they weren't licensed to contract in the first place. We are now beginning legal action against Paragon to resolve this matter.
Description of Work: We contracted with Paragon Pools to build a swimming pool with spa, casita/poolhouse building, paver decking, custom BBQ, fire pit, and aluma-lattice pation in our new back yard. The project was to include plumbing, electrical, and gas to support sinks, an outside shower, electrical outlets, etc. It also included a water heater and HVAC system for the casita.
