One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating - Las Vegas

They come out on a regular basis. They did it for free. They are always on time. They call me when they think they need to come out and plan my schedule. They show up when they are supposed to. They are clean and neat. They pick up all their stuff when they are done. They are very good, I like them. I don't think they are the cheapest. When I say that they did all the work for free it's because of the prepaid plan.

About 1.5 years ago I replaced one of my three air conditioning units based on a recommendation by "One Hour Air". Last week the replaced unit about doubled in the amount of noise the compressor was making while running. This is very important to us, as the units sit outside one of our bedrooms. I looked online, and there were several recommendations as to possible causes from lose footings on the compressor, or too much or little refrigerant. Most posts agreed that you should call a HVAC service technician to come out and take a look at the unit. I of course called "One Hour Air" as they did the initial installation. They were very courteous on the phone, and were able to accommodate my schedule. The service technician showed up on time. He asked me to turn on the air conditioning for that unit, he stood there for a couple of minutes, and said "sounds normal to me". He then explained that it was normal for an air conditioner to get louder over time. I explained that this was a sudden change, and that this was an issue as I could now hear it clearly in the backyard, and it was waking me up at night. He explained that there was nothing he could do, and that replacing the compressor would just make it louder. He never opened the unit to look at the compressor, check the footings, or hook up any gauges to check anything. He was there about 15 minutes, and left a service ticket with "everything is fine at this time". I'm not sure how he knew everything is fine, but I am not convinced. I am not happy with my service call since my only other option is to replace the unit again, but with this level of indifference and service, I definitely won't be using one hour air.

The work turned out fine. They did a good job. I have used this HVAC company in the past as well too.

The work was fine and the units work fine.

It went great. They came out and resolved the problem. We would recommend this company.

Repeated call backs and return repairs. To date still not working right. Most vists were on time and quick. I am still having problems with one unit not consistently working. I would recommend caution when choosing doing business with this company.

.They were horrible. I will not use them again. They were listed on Angies List. They just really did not want to repair the fan motor that had gone bad. They just hated why I did not want to give up on that. They were mad about it and wanted me to buy a new air-conditioner. They could tell me what might happen in the future. But don’t try to sell me an air-conditioner. I think they have even over charged me. I compared the prices and where another company has repaired the fan motor for $400 I paid $800. After he started working on it he did okay. They were not professional at all.

I have been with them forever. A two year contract is $249. It covers 4 preseason visits to check my heating and air conditioning system. I have only had one problem with one of their service people so I still give them top marks in all categories. I will continue to use this company.

The representative inspected the a/c unit and found compressor wear and high amps on start-up. Also found wire disconnected from capacitor (did not seem to make different once re-connected). He also found a problem with the fan capacitor. He gave me a few quotes: $8950 for new a/c & furnace - said the furnace is free. If we paid cash, additional 3% discount. There would be a 10 yr warranty on the thermostat - parts and labor. Just to replace the a/c unit was $4,800. Wanted to sign us up for service maintenance & if did so, would be discounts as well. We had service maintenance from another company and when the representative came out, he told us we needed a whole new unit. That is why we requested the 2nd opinions. We did have a similar pricing from another company, but both were double the price we were given by yet another company who was referred to us.

This is a company that is trying to take advantage of unsophisticated consumers. They are over-priced and the approach borders on consumer fraud.

They were prompt. I was desperate, I was about to leave on a plane and they came within an hour. They put the air conditioner in the next day. They installed it in within a day. They did great work.

my air conditioner was making a loud noise one very hot day so I call One hour air conditioning & heating that I had a coupon for free service call. All I said to them was that it was making loud noise. After the service man get it out he said the compressor was going bad and the cost to replace it was going to be about $3800.00 and had the replacement on his truck. but before I spend that much I wanted a 2nt est. so I call Anytime Plumbing, Inc. they check out the compressor and said it was working fine, it was a good unit and if anything the fan motor mite get too hot and make that noise they charger 49.95 for the service call

They wanted to charge me more. I went with another company for half the price less than what they quoted me. I won’t consider contacting them in the future.

I had One Hour replace our air conditioner just recently and am very satisfied with them. We had been having a lot of issues with unit in the past, high electric bills, always breaking down, poor cooling ect.. And decided to finally replace it. We had a few different companies come out and look at our system, but never felt all that comfortable with any of them. We called One Hour based on a recommendation from our neighbor and were very impressed. They showed up exactly when they said they would and were very polite and courteous, the salesperson was very knowlagable and gave us a variety of options for us to choose from. The same service came from the installers who came the next day to replace the unit. They were very neat and tidy, covering our floors and walls to protect them from dirt and damage. when they were all done, they explained how the new system worked and cleaned up everything after themselves. We feel very good about our decision, and would recommend this company to anyone.

The work was done when promised. The units are running beautifully. They have lower our electrical bills as promised.

I have used this company for about ten years. I purchased a heat pump from them about five years ago and have been satisfied with their quality and workmanship. To maintain the ten-year warranty on the heat pump, I am required to purchase an annual service contract that they state is discounted from their normal rate. The contract provides for twice a year service calls, once for the cooling function and once for the heating function. They call for an appointment to perform these services and meet their commitment for time of arrival. The technicians are professional in completing their job, and wear shoe covers when inside my home. They generally propose to sell me accessory products such as surge protectors or some other component for the unit and/or related services such as duct cleaning. They sometimes offer a free home electrical inspection by their related company Mr. Sparky, which I have not used. I would recommend One Hour Air on the basis of my experience that they provide qualified technicians to perform the work.

GREAT! Highly recommend them and will always use them. Our unit was installed by One Hour with a 5 year warranty for parts & labor. Last night the A/C stopped blowing cold. We called this morning and the person who answered the phone was very friendly, professional, and checked with the dsipatcher while I waited so she could tell us what time they would arrive. She gave me a 4-hour window and the tech arrived within 2 hours. Adam arrived, was very friendly and worked quickly. I was totally comfortable with him and appreciate how nice he was to our dogs! He put protective coverings on his shoes when we was in the house, inspected the unit and told me what needed to be done, completed the repair and explained it all to me. He gave us the paperwork with detailed description of his repair and warranty information. There was no charge for the repair. They also let me know that if we had called last night, even though it was a Friday at 8pm, they could have come out then to do the repair! The customer service at One-Hour is great. I renewed our annual maintenance plan and will continue to be a loyal customer. Thanks One Hour Air Conditioning!

They have a club that I joined a year ago. I did it for several reasons at that time but I’m not sure on the issue right now. I get a freebie inspection twice a year, during the summer and winter seasons, and I do get a priority from them too. They came out a while ago and checked my heater, and it didn’t cost me anything. They said that everything was basically fine; there were issues with the heater but nothing that I should have gotten excited about. My heater broke down subsequently, and so I called them. They responded and did what they said they were going to do. Response-wise they were relatively good, and I think I got them out the same day. They found out that the ignition module had gone bad, and so they swapped it out. The new module worked fine for about 15 or 20 minutes and then it failed. I called them back, and it took them probably another 2 to 3 hours to return. They said that the supposed new module that went in had failed out of the box. I understood that things like that do occur. He swapped it out for another one, and so far, for the last 3 weeks, it has worked fine. Their pricing was somewhat reasonable, but I did have a question about it, but at that time I didn’t have a choice. I paid their pre-printed price - I am not really comfortable with pre-printed forms. I intend to have the heater and the air conditioner replaced soon, and I’m not sure a 100% that I’d call them.

They came out right away and gave me a bid. I did not use them because it was too costly and they wanted to put in a new AC on top of my roof as well, and I didn't feel like going to that kind of expense.

Technician added 4 lbs of freon then advised me my compressor was no good because it was making noise and needed to be replaced. I advised the tech that his company called me on the maintenance agreement to schedule the appointment and that I had not called them and nothing was wrong with the unit until he arrived. He indicated they could change out the compressor for around $2,500.00. I advised him that it was clear to me he had or was intending to purposely damaged the unit and to pack up his tools and leave. The unit failed within 24 hours, it was later found the system was 5 lbs overcharged with freon.

On Friday of Labor Day Weekend out air conditioner quit at 5:30 p.m. I called 3 companies. First was the one who installed our unit 7 years ago. They were only taking calls from people who had (costly) service contracts with them, which we did not. After two other companies who could not help us until the next day, Anthony, the Field Supervisor of One Hour A/C, came to our house within the hour. He got on the roof and told us the unit was frozen and would take 6 hours to thaw. He explained what the problem could be and what might need to be done. He said we would be contacted the next morning after 8:00 a.m. No call so I called them and was told I was on the schedule but there wasn't any way to tell when a repairman could get here (they worked until 11:00 p.m.) At noon I called again (we were doing okay but my husband has medical issues and cannot be overheated for hours). Rose informed me that there was only one repairman working today but she would contact him again and ask him to call me. She was very professional, apologetic and understanding. The repairman, James, did call me soon after that and said he was sure he could get to us today but couldn't say when. We settled in for a long wait. At 2:30 another repairman, Jeff, called and said that Rose told him we needed some help and he was on his way. He spent about 30 minutes on the hot roof and added Freeon (he discussed it with us first) and our air conditioner was working again. What a relief.

It seemed to go well-we called when our A/C went out suddenly and we were bringing home our newborn daughter the next couple days, so we accepted a really late window for an appointment. The technician showed up towards the end of the window but in time. It didn't take him long to "fix" the air conditioner and it was running. However, less than 48 hours later when we had our daughter home, it stopped working again--was clearly not fixed at all. We figured no problem, we would contact them and since they had just come and NOT fixed it they'd rush over. WRONG we were! We explained with a newborn how important it was but they couldn't send anyone for over a day and a half they said and they'd charge us all over again for a new service call!! Seemed totally unconcerned with the baby in the heat (by this time it was 90 degrees in the house). We ended up not having them come back out.

Sometime on Monday night, the 20+ year old air conditioner finally gave out. On Tuesday morning, I called One Hour A/C and asked that someone come out and see about repairs. I had been thinking seriously for a couple months about getting both A/C and furnace replaced (before they broke). One Hour A/C gave me a choice of a guaranteed on-time appointment at 1 pm or a less expensive "window" of between 10 am and 2 pm. I gambled on the window and was VERY pleasantly surprised when Mark rang the doorbell at 9:45. He put on a pair of shoe covers to come in the house (all the technicians did) to review the problem and then got to work. Within an hour he showed me the problem (a hot pipe had burned through the freon canister and all the freon had escaped). He also pointed out a crack in the furnace heat deflector. The estimate for repairs to the A/C unit were on the order of $1500, but since I knew the whole system should be replaced with something more efficient and "green", I opted for the replacement. Since Mark could not get a unit to my house that day, he arranged for a portable A/C unit to at least keep some of the house cool. Because I had to leave town in the afternoon the next day, Mark arranged for the technicians to arrive early - 7 am. They were there at 6:45! By 2 pm, they had torn out the old furnace (in the garage) removed the old A/C unit (on the ground outside) installed the new systems, walked me through everything they'd done, cleaned up thouroughly and left. Great job! I came home to a cool house.

It went quite well overall. After checking the units, the technician discovered that a capacitor needed to be replaced. He told me about their yearly maintenance program and I purchased one of the packages. They check your units twice a year and any repairs are 20% off. Plus you get same day service when you have one of their packages.
