OMEGA AIR CONDITIONING

We have to use this company because we have a specific air conditioning unit. I think it was covered because we have a home warranty that we can hire them and get reimbursed. The difference is that they're the only air conditioning repair place in Las Vegas that can repair this specific brand. I don't know how they are with other air conditioning systems, but like I said they're the only ones in town we can call so we are kind of limited. Again, with price, no comparison because we have to use this one company. They're good for us. We have to use them again, there's no choice in that matter. If we get another air conditioner maybe we would use somebody else. We own a Freus air conditioning system and it runs differently. It's more like a swamp cooler. We do pay less in bills which started this in the beginning. It's usually just one guy unless he has to do something major and then they send a second one. Sometimes it takes one day, but if he has to order a part it can take a couple of days. He is good. I never have to go out and do any cleaning up.

My problem isn't so much with this company as it is with the garbage air conditioners that they sell. This company sells Freus air conditioners with water cooled compressors. I bought my unit nine years ago, and I had so many service calls on it that I knew their two primary repair technicians by name. After spending almost $7,000 on the machine and over $3,000 in repairs, I still had an air conditioner that was ready for the scrap heap after nine years. The latest problem was a refrigerant leak in the condenser coil, which I was told could not be replaced. My last contact with the company was just the latest in a long list of times when this unit has failed. The technician came out, refilled the machine with refrigerant and he said that we ought to be good until the end of the season. We got 48 hours out of it. When I called back, they made an offer to sell me another Freus. I told them that they couldn't be serious. They then offered me some off-brand unit that I hadn't heard of at what my subsequent shopping revealed to be an inflated price. They got irritated when I didn't bite, then they called me back a couple of hours later and told me that, lo and behold, the coil could be replaced after all. I told them no thanks, I'm not spending another grand on another repair just to have something else fail later. Another down side of dealing with this company is that they insist on cash payment for everything. Considering that one of my repairs cost around $800, that is a big hit to the budget. When I inquired about financing for the central air unit they were offering, they told me that the best that they could do was two equal payments 90 days apart (for a purchase that would have totaled over $5,000). This was after I put over $10,000 into this company in purchases and repairs over a nine year period. My problem isn't with the repair technicians, who did everything that they could to help us. I just needed their services far too often, the equipment that they sell is garbage, they insist on payment in cash for any repairs, and once you decide not to play the game anymore they apparently couldn't care less about you.

They have been wonderful. I would recommend them to anybody. I used them a couple of times last year. Every time I call they are right there. They are ready to set up an appointment for me. They are always on time and they explain everything to me. A lot of women don't understand things about electronics. The two gentlemen that came out were they were just wonderful. They were very professional and do their work.

I have used Omega Air Conditioning for over 5 years. I have them do the Spring and Fall servicing for my 4 air conditioning and 2 heating units. They are always on time, knowledgeable, professional and fair priced for the quality of service. And, they have always been immediately responsive when emergency service was needed. I highly recommend this business.

tried to find and repair freeon leak (came out 2 times- one month in between visits) but when the age of the unit and the cost of the repair was considered- we decided to replace the unit in the spring. They quoted me a decent price for replacement of the unit, making sure that it fit the specs of the house and existing hookups.

Within an hour and a half a technician was at my house, and he had the replacement circulating pump that had eluded my home warranty company for the better part of a week. Another 30-45 minutes to install it and my A/C nightmare was over. My thanks to Jose, who saved the day. This company is a little on the pricey side, but they do good work and they do it promptly.

This company and its owner put customer service first. Bob Lang, the owner, explained choices and did not present a hard sell. He appeared knowledgeable and honest. I asked a lot of questions, but he never lost his ''cool''. He was patient and informative. During installation his installers were neat and laid tarps down on my carpeting as a walkway. Roland and Walter, the installers, knew what they were doing. Bob came by on the day of installation when the job was almost finished to inspect the work. Pride in workmanship was obviously a priority in this company and with this owner. I HIGHLY recommend Omega Air. I have called with a concern since installation and a technician was at my door within an hour of my call. Outstanding customer service! What I paid is between Omega Air and me.
