Two men arrived early enough, if fact they were sitting outside 25 minutes early. They came in with paper work, looked at what needed to be moved and assured me they could fit it on the truck. I had a King Size bedroom set, head board, foot board, etc. I had NO appliances to load, just very fine china, crystal, and antique items. I had ALL boxes marked with arrows pointing UP and clearly telling what was in the box and what room it was to go to. My garage was full of boxes, but no box or container was too big as not to fit in a SUV. Most boxes were small and under 20 lbs. Other boxes were larger but manageable for 1 person to handle. There were 3 mirrors that needed to be removed by 2 men from the wall. The damage to the walls was caused by one man trying to remove the hooks with an item that looked like pliers. I was able to patch the walls with some spackle. They stuffed the truck with everything very neatly at first. Then they started STUFFING the truck with the boxes. No longer the arrows pointed UP, they pointed up side ways, down, and jammed into the truck. I was told by the Owner of the company that if everything didn't fit into the truck, she would bring her own truck and load the remaining. I told her she should come out to the house and DOUBLE CHECK the load. She assured me there was more than enough room in the 28' truck. When it was clear there was not enough room, I asked them to load the heaviest boxes and take what they could. They arrived at the new house in record time. Unloaded the truck but they were so rough with the furniture, dropping on dining room chair from the Top deck of truck to the ground on it's top/back, I asked they just bring in the furniture and pack the boxes marked garage in the garage and put things like FINE CHINA in the dining room. They damaged so many boxes by stacking large on small, Fragile, DO NOT DROP, and Electronics, that I couldn't get to check out every box while they were there for brakeage. My grandmother's pitcher that was over 100 years old was packed in bubble wrap, paper, and marked FRAGILE DO NOT DROP was smashed into pieces. Boxes marked as FINE CHINA are still in dining room waiting to open. I started taking photos of each box and things inside. It has been 6 days since the move and I am still finding boxes marked KEEP OUT OF HEAT, DVD's, CANDLES, and Dry Goods for Pantry were stuffed in garage. Las Vegas has temps in the 100's. The bottom of a pile in a HOT garage is no place for sewing notions, thread, and fabric. I took the sewing machines in my car as a couple were embroidery/sewing machines and also serger machines. I have not contacted the owner of the company since the move and was told she went to California on the day of the move, so she was unavailable on the day of the move anyway. I had to rent a U-Haul truck to move the remaining items the next day. I am a senior citizen and have many health issues. I had to load the truck, drive from Henderson, NV to North Las Vegas and unload the truck, by my self. Return the truck and buy gas bringing my cost well over my budget of $700.00 as was figured at $95.00 an hour. The men were nice enough but one was over 6' tall and the other was 5'7". The shorter of the two had a very hard day and had gravity against him all day. The taller of the two could hold items higher and put the heavy end on the shorter mans end. It was hot and I didn't notice most of the damage until they had packed up and left. I did give them a Tip, and they had a Half Hour Break. If this was a responsible company, they would have called me to ask how everything went. I have to call them now and ask for their insurance company's name and claim forms. They only insure items for $.60 (sixty CENTS) per pound. The damage to the doorway of the new house is $35.00 for patching and painting. I am exhausted after unpacking boxes for the last 6 days. I just wanted to let everyone know about Moving by Keystone.
