I emailed a picture of my tree and got an estimate of $300 or less to cut it down and grind the stump, depending on how difficult the stump was. They were available a few days later. They arrived on time and took less than an hour to finish because of the large equipment they brought. They cut down the tree with chain saws, and sent the branches through a large chipper. Then they wheeled up the large grinder and ground down the stump. Afterward, they raked up the small branches and wood chips, evened out the hole, and used a leaf blower to clean up the sidewalk and street. I was very satisfied.

They do a really good job. They are very nice.

They were great. Office staff was very responsive to set up the estimates, the work was completed within a few days of receiving the estimate. We had one issue after the fact with a sprinkler head that was too tall for our lawnmower. They were great about responding to our request to have it lowered. All in all, they were a great company for our various needs. Thanks Angie's List - we called them solely based on the recommendations and reviews here, which is why I'm now posting my own!

They did an excellent job overall. FIrst we met with Chris (owner) at our house to get an estimate and discuss the project. After we chose his bid, we went to his office/house to choose specific plants, pavers, etc. I loved being able to see the various trees and shrubs, pavers, etc., in a real home setting. The work was done about 3 weeks later. His crew was very professional and courteous--no loud radios blaring, no disturbing us or the neighbors, etc. Foreman was bi-lingual so there were no communication issues. The work was completed in the estimated timeframe (3 days). Chris' assistant/office manager, Di, was terrific. She coordinated things amazingly well, let me know what would be happening when, etc. When the work was completed, Chris came by a few weeks later to see how things looked and how we felt, etc. He brought with him a booklet showing our landscape design, the names of all our new plants and trees, how to care for them, etc. The booklet also included a copy of releases from all subcontractors (showing they had been paid, etc.) and a copy of the Mauri Landscapes warranty. So, how did everything turn out? GREAT! The paver installation was absolutely wonderful--it looks so beautiful and blends in with the existing patio. We were worried that the slope of the exisiting patio would make any addition to it impossible, but it turned out wonderfully--and the paver installation has an extended guarantee, which is icing on the cake. The only problem we encountered with the entire job was with a sub who did the staining of the original ugly concrete patio. I was not happy with the color and with Mauri coordinating a re-do, had them come back to correct the problems. When the color was finally okay, I noticed a week later that the stain was already wearing off the edges. Chris came out and looked at it and agreed it was not up to his standards. There were several issues getting the stain guys back (promised times not met, etc.). I called Di each time an appointment was missed and she got right on it. So all in all, I think that Mauri Landscape's choice of this subcontractor was not good; however, Mauri was my single point of contact and they handled the problems well. I am finally satisfied with the concrete stain and it seems to be holding up well. One plant didn't make it through the winter. I called Mauri Landscapes and no problem, they guarantee all plants and trees for a year; they delivered the replacement plant within two weeks. (There was one issue with that--I had no advance warning the day that the workers came with the replacement; luckily I was home, since we have a couple of large German Shepherds who would not have taken kindly to strangers in the back yard! Also, it did not appear that the two who came to plant the replacement spoke English, so had problems communicating. ) All it all, and despite the few glitches with the concrete stain folks, working with Mauri Landscapes was a great experience; I'd definitely recommend them. I love our new back yard, particularly the pavers, and I'm confident that as the plants grow, it'll look better every year.

It was a WONDERFUL experience.... especially for Las Vegas! They were ON TIME, prices were REASONABLE, service was EXCELLENT & everyone was very PROFESSIONAL. Chris was great to work with, he provided suggestions & options, but was not pushy! We would highly recommend his company to anyone who needs landscape work done at any level.

They came back a second time because they did not do a good job when they laid the brick. The owner of the company agreed with me when he saw it and they removed it all and relaid it. I would tell others that this company stands by their word. I had 3 estimates and they were the highest, but I felt they would do the best job.

I solicited several bids to landscape my backyard, which was a dirt lot on a new construction. Chris was extremely nice & promptly wrote us up a plan. He was not the cheapest plan we received, but he was close. We also loved his plan the most & it was far superior to others we received. He also saved us money by pointing out unnecessary features we had discussed. He didn't have to do that & it obviously cost him profit. The last thing that swayed us was all the reviews on here. We love our new backyard, his crews were prompt, courteous & the office kept us up to date on arrivals times & status. I would definitely use him again & recommend him.

We contacted the company by phone, and within two days Certified Arborist Jim Cooper came to the house on time. We described what we wanted in order of priority as we were working with a budget. The arborist, my husband and I, went over the entire property and told him what we wanted done in terms of end results. He evaluated every item we identified and made suggestions regarding processes that would make our landscaped more attrative and the trees more healthy with a good pruning. He gave us a written proposal with all details. He spent nearly an hour with us, our lot being somewhat small. We accepted the proposal the same day by phone, and arranged for a date and time that fit his and our schedule The three-man crew, including the arborist, arrived on time on the date we agreed upon. They had brought all equipment necessary for the job and all the safety equipment for the men who would climb tall trees and cut off heavy limbs. They began immediately with low-noise aspects of the job at about 7:00am giving consideration to our neighbors and our subdivision's CC&R's. At a "decent" hour, the crew began the heavy work of removing a very large pine tree with heavy equipment and a chipper to reduce it to mulch. The job was well-planned, and everyone knew what he was to do and when. They finished the job on schedule, completed theirr clean-up, and left us with a much neater bunch of trees and shrubs. I was impressed with the organization of tasks, the use of safety equipment, the coordination of the work of the crew members, and most of all, the price of the job which was exactly what was agreed upon. Having had others "hack" some of our trees long ago, I was gratified to have someone take a minimalist and educated approach as we requested and allow the trees to become "better citizens" in spite of their size and age. One of our trees was a large and quite majestic Heritage Oak which had gotten quite out of control. It is my favorite. It looks great now! The clean-up was complete and detailed. No mess was left, and our neighbors were not inconvenienced. The place looks much better, given the we should have had some of this work done years ago. I am optimistic that when Spring comes, it will all be beautiful and the trees that remain will be happier to have some space back! We got our money's worth. I would be pleased to recommend this company.

Awesome! Our entire backyard was a dirt lot. We used Mauri because they did it all and because they have an excellent reputation on Angie's List. We are thrilled with our beautiful new backyard and HIGHLY recommend Mauri Landscaping!

Mauri's crew showed up at the designated time and worked most of the day on both the front and back yards. The major work was to trim back a large tree as well as to remove two large palms. I had gone over what would be done prior, so I knew they would be doing a very comprehensive job. They brought a chipper so a huge amount of cuttings disappeared in short order...a satisfying day for me and a great job by them!

They arrived on time and immediately went to work. They raised one lawn sprinkler to the surface and replaced the other then also replaced the unit with a leak. It took them less than thirty minutes to finish and test the system. Our irrigation system is under Mauri Landscaping's four year warranty, so we paid nothing.

The work went really well. I got an estimate a few weeks before I actually had the work done. The company sent Rueben out to see what I needed done. After taking notes, he told me that the owner would call me in a day or two with a quote. As promised, the owner, Chris, called me the next day with a quote. I told Chris that I wanted to wait until my plants stopped blooming, so I would call him back in December to schedule an appointment. I called on a Monday, and Chris said his crew could do the work two days later. I'm not sure when they arrived, but they were already hard at work when I noticed them a little after 7 a.m. They were very efficient and completed the work in the estimated time. My yard has never looked better -- I would definitely hire them again. 02.18.13: I have used Mauri Landscaping a few times since I wrote my initial review. I wanted to add that they've done an excellent job every time they've come out. Their services aren't cheap, but I am always very pleased with the job they do. Considering the many hours of work they save us, we think they are worth every penny.

Chris was very professional and courteous. This job was for my rental house, and since I live out of state, I had to do everything via email and phone. This job was beneath his capabilities as I just wanted rocks and no plants for tenants to kill by neglect. The yard used to be grass before the tenants killed it. Chris capped the sprinkler system, dug up the old dead sod, and installed rocks and a few boulders. It looks very nice now.

Mauri Landscaping was amazing. Chris developed a plan that met our needs, listened to our concerns and provided us with a beautiful backyard. His crews are very professional and cleaned up afterward. Mauri Landscaping also provides great follow-up service as well. I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. Yes, we could have gone with a cheaper landscaper but would not have ended up with the quality product that Mauri landscaping provides. Chris is also very trustworthy and that means a lot when you are spending that much money.

The crew went to work at 7:00am and finished at the end of the day. The result is beautiful. All of the weeds are gone. The new tree and plants are in. We are very happy with the work. We have used Mauri Tree Service in the past and have always been happy with the work. Now we can say the same about their landscape services as well.

Excellent provider. Chris Mauri came to the house to discuss our wants and budget. He took the info with him. We met at his business several days later and were shown a diagram of our lot with tree and plant placement. We selected our preferred plants (with his expert input). Work was scheduled for several days later. Workers came on time and finished the same day. Workers were very knowledgeable, and extremely courteous. They checked with us for any further input and finished the job as scheduled. We had a minor problem with the step installation and one of the trees. Both issuess were quickly resolved. As is standard with this company, we were called after the job was complete to see if we were satisfied. In addition to the phone calls, Chris came to the house two weeks later to make sure all plants were "taking" and that we were still happy with the work provided. I don't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

Call Chris to have some emergency landscaping because our HOA was being unreasonable on the height of our bushes. Chris and company came out and solved my issues. This is the third time we've used them and they have always come through for us.

Would recommend, and would hire again.

estimate was done promptly, and the service itself was done the next day. We have had the tree trimmed before by other companies, and none of those services were any where as good as the job done by Mauri tree service. They trimmed the branches away from the house to help protect the roof, and the shaping was beautiful. It makes our house look fantastic, and come spring when it the tree fills in with new growth it will look even better. Cleanup was perfect too.

It was great. They provide excellent service at an excellent price.

They were on time. They were really knowledgeable on the HOA rules and the Water Authority rules. They were not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. The work that was done was great. I will use them again in the future.

Everything was great but, unfortunately, the electrical wiring for two of my tree lights were destroyed in the process. Yes, they would replace if the sister company was awarded the landscaping contract, but I chose to go another route for landscaping, therefore, I have to pay for the busted wires. Otherwise, Mauri is a great company and the foreman is very knowledgable.

I found Mauri's on Angie's List when my friend needed landscaping done for a new home. Chris came and gave her a great plan based on her needs and the yard looks beautiful. Based on this I called and Chris did an estimate of my backyard. Chris was prompt, thorough, and came up with a plan based on my simple needs (desert landscape with trees and bushes) that ended up looking better (and cheaper) than I expected. I highly recommend the services of this company.

I called on Wed, 25 Aug 2010 to schedule and appointment and recieved an apointment for the following Friday (27 Aug 2010). On Friday, I recieved a call explaining that a mistake had been made and that the person doing the estimate had been double booked, and if I could re-schedule. I called back on Sat, 28 Aug 2010 to reschedule and the customer service sounded professional and truly sorry that a mistake had been made. I re-scheduled for Monday 30 Aug 2010, with the understanding that the person coming to do the estimate would call with a time. I assumed that this call would come early in the day, so that I could plan out my day as well, but recieved a call at 2pm telling me that the contactor would be there in 30 minutes. This was impossible for me to accomplish, because I had already decided that the company was not going to call me back to re-scehdule and had gone about my day. When I called to inform the company that meeting in 30 minutes was not possible, the representative was polite and sorry for the complication. This was not a good experience for my family and I, specifically for getting a fairly simple job estimated and completed.
