I contacted Mauri Tree Company and made a request for tree trimming. The tree specialist reviewed the trees and provided an estimate, and I scheduled an appointment. The tree specialist showed up on the scheduled date on time and provided me a verbal description of the work to be performed, as well as answering my questions and getting my preferences on which branches to trim/remove. The work was performed as promised, and the work team cleaned up afterwards. The trimmed tree looks great and the yard looks much more appealing.

Based on the rating and ad we saw in Angie's List, we contacted Mauri and two other landscapers to discuss a major yard overhaul and cost estimate. Based on the initial walk-through and discussion, we chose Mauri Landscapes because of the owner, Chris Mauri's, realistic ideas, suitable suggestions and knowledge of what works in Las Vegas (and what doesn't). We began with a major tree maintenance effort, which was completed in 4 or 5 days by tree specialists Mike Cooper and his crew, Oscar and Izzy in July. In August, they returned and performed deep root fertilization. The second phase of the overhaul involved major landscape changes: removing deco-rock and black plastic sheeting, removing or trimming up plants all over the property, extending the patio and pool areas, installing trellises and vines to improve back yard privacy, and overhauling the irrigation system. This part of the project ran from Aug 31 to Sept 16, finishing on time as per our service contract. During the project, Chris checked on the site 2 or 3 times, personally. The project foreman, Victor Chavez, and his crew members were extremely hard-working, skilled and experienced. Only twice were we aware of potential mistakes, which we brought to Victor's attention. They were corrected immediately and with a very positive attitude. We tried not to interfere too much, but at one point we realized we had removed some existing flagstones from one area and needed a short path in another area; the crew obliged and in no time we had a beautiful flagstone pathway that looks as if it's always been there. The trellises were installed and the vines and trees were planted quickly and without any problems. The Mauri crew also installed new irrigation lines, and repaired or replaced the old ones. Victor led this effort, even rerouting the controls around the new concrete work. Mauri subcontracted with Artcon to pour a patio extension and pathway, and a pool deck extension and path. Artcon also pressure-washed the existing deck before resurfacing it and surfacing the new extension so that it looks consistent. Artcon and Mauri Landscapes worked together seamlessly, each crew helping out as needed. Toward the end of the project, we decided to have the Mauri crew do the mulching; Chris Mauri added a change order and the crew was brought back for one last day. Throughout the process, Chris Mauri was available, happy to discuss changes in our plans, and he provided accurate cost and timing estimates. He never let me feel I was driving him crazy with questions, but always gave me straight, honest answers, even if I didn't want to hear them. Because of Chris' detailed project estimating of our original ambitious plans, we were able to (a) recognize that the line item charges for products were reasonable and consistent; (b) see that the labor charges indicated that the crew were being paid fair, above-board wages for very hard work performed with a willing attitude and with pride of workmanship; and (c) decide where to eliminate or add a feature or service to our landscape plan. THERE WERE NO SURPRISES CONCERNING COST OR TIMING. In my book, that speaks volumes about the excellence of a company. One hears stories about contracts who start jobs but don't get around to finishing, but Chris Mauri allayed our fears on that count by agreeing to a September 16 project end date, subject to reasonable delays. One good thing about working with a company that is in demand is they are as eager to get on with and finish the job as you are! But even more important, with Mauri Landscapes, quality was never compromised by speed, despite the fast pace of the work. Chris Mauri will re-visit us in early October to see if any problems have developed, and because his work and plants are warranteed, we feel confident that he will do whatever it takes to ensure that the job is living up to all our expectations. We highly recommend Mauri Landscapes to other Las Vegas homeowners, and we definitely plan to continue working with Chris Mauri and his staff in the future. Special thanks to Di for cheerfully and efficiently facilitating communications and helping with scheduling and bookkeeping. You won't find a better group of people to work with for your landscaping needs!

They are very good. I used a branch of the landscaping company that has a separate tree service than the landscaping. They did a great job. They were punctual and fair.

Laid out plan with Chris and he put together our ideas in a drawing and gave us a quote. The problem was the HOA. As we are inexperienced with an HOA, it seemed as though Mauri was too. So time was spent going back an forth for a month or so. Finally, Mauri called the HOA and then told me exactly what to write on my application for approval. Got it done the following weekend even though they don't work on the weekends. Right on time and did an excellent job.

My remarks are listed as only fair because the entire experience was not the best. My first contact with the company. Some advice was incorrect, it was difficult getting information on dates for the work to be performed and the whole experience left an uncomfortable feeling and lack of trust. The installation of the tree was done quickly, and professionally. The receptionist was the best. Very understanding and helpful.

Chris and his team have always done a great job for me. This was his second job from me..I am always impressed with the designs and how much time he takes to make sure that every plant is what we want even down to the rock and boulder colors. This team transformed the backyard from ugly to wonderful in one day. This house was a bank owned purchase for my husband and I and it was a MESS...the backyard was a deposit for the previous owners dog as well as digging holes. I trusted Chris to make the transformation and he exceeded my exceptions. When I say this man is honest I do not use that term lightly, especially here in Vegas. I just received a check back from him due to lack of use of a rental . I have told all my friends about his great work now I can point to his ethical behavior. Thank you for everything...I am looking for the next house and will use you again..

The work is was correctly and iit looks great. His staff is professional and very responsive. Maurie Landscaping costs about 10-15% more than others, but it is well worth it. I know if we call a year from now or 5 years from now they will be there for us. We feel we have developed a long term relationship with Mauri and his staff. We are now enjoying our backyard. I contacted Mauri Tree Company , LLC by phone. Mike Cooper returned my call. He said that he could visit my house the following day to view the work that needed to be done and give me an estimate. He arrived promptly at the established time. Mr. Cooper looked at the palm tree, gave me some horticultural information the tree and gave me an estimate on the cost of cutting off the dead palm fronds. I agreed to the price. Mr. Cooper said that he would have his crew come to my property the following day. The next day, two men arrived with their equipment. In their limited use of English, they asked what shape I wanted the palm tree cut. Mr. Cooper and I had previously agreed to shape the fronds at a 10-2 (clock hands) shape. I told them with words and hand gestures the shape I wanted. The crew promptly cut off the dead fronds, removed them to their truck with a grinder in tow, and ground up the fronds. End of story.

I was waiting for them for about 2 hours; I called the office and they informed me that he was stuck on another job, and that he would come out the next day. He arrived on time the next day, and gave me estimates. The estimates were very high; about twice as much as other estimates that I had gotten.

Mauri and his crew are incredibly nice and professional, and they seem like super honest guys. I'd recommend this company to anyone. From a customer-service standpoint, they're top notch. Regarding the tree I needed reposted, What's more, it became dislodged again and again, and each time they came out and reposted it f or free, even though it wasn't paid for originally. Finally, they came out with heavy-duty metal cables and staked it, and it's been upright ever since. I offered to pay each subsequent time, but they never charged me.

initial estimate performed onsite by Chris Mauri, prompt, professional and has a real eye for landscaping. Listened to all our "Pie in the Sky" wishes for the space and offered great ideas to make it happen. Next we went to Chris's personal property/business office and picked out plants. We were able to see 5 + mature plants which helped to picture what would work well in our yard. We were also able to see the pavers and edgestone and pick out the lighting as well. After the estimate and scope of work was agreed upon a date was set very quickly. The work crew arrived promptly everyday for 5 days at 8am. They worked diligently under the supervision of their foreman, Martine, which by the way is an artist in my opinion. The paver work is gorgeous and the placement of plants, boulders and lighting was well thought out and very eye pleasing. Of note the materials used such as the weed barrier fabric, the irrigation system, rock and boulders, electrical and lighting was all superior quality. Details such as making sure a 'ft of fabric overlapped at each cut was noted also each plant was planted with new soil and given a root fertilizer. Another thing that surprised me is that no money changed hands until the completion of the work on the day 5 and only after I walked through everything with the foreman to make sure I didn't have any questions about the plants, paver work & irrigation clock, etc. Mauri Landscaping is a rare gem that treats each customer as if they are their only customer and no job is too small or too big. They also include waranties for their work and f/u with a personal inspection a couple weeks after the work is completed to set the irrigation clocks again for routine water (not new plant times). Appreciated that Chris noticed a boulder was a bit close to the pavers and had his crew come out and move it over at no additional cost. 2 notes: Make sure you are clear about when the sprinkler water may be turned off to existing plants like the ones in the back yard. You may need to hand water for a few days. Also, if you are adding rock or soil ask to have plastic put down before it is delivered. That way the remaining dirt & rock can be cleaned up and not washed down to neighbors yards along the gutters after the project is done. Those are two very minor suggestions and I highly recommend this landscaping company. I look forward to working with Mauri Landscapes on the back yard next year.

It went great. They cleaned up very well after themselves and made it all disappear. I had tried a couple of others on price and they were well below. They were at least a couple of hundred dollars below the others. The boss was a nice guy and liked to pitch in with the work. He was knowledgeable. I had to call them back on a slight issue. They had missed a surface root and they came back and took care of it. They were prompt and very accommodating. They were just good to do business with.

They did a great job, very happy with the work done.

I found Mauri's recommendations on Angie's list to be completely spot on. The owner Chris Mauri came out to my property to take a look at what needed to be done, he listened with great attentiveness and sincere interest to my situation and asked what I would like to do about my situation taking into account my utter lack of knowledge regarding the situation, a stark contrast to the two previous contractors I had contacted. Initially I had thought I wanted the whole front yard's landscaping redone to a completely stone and gravel formation, but Chris' empathetic and considerate demeanor as he expressed doubt this was necessary gave me pause as he listed what my options could be, that the situation wasn't nearly as bad as it appeared to be and while he didn't want to talk me out of any desires I might have, he correctly guessed that mostly what I wanted was my issue taken care of with as low a maintenance profile as possible. He conducted a quick inspection noting the irrigation nozzle's were present and in good working order, and presented a alternate solution to me of having the yard blown free of debris, a 1/2 ton's worth of new gravel lain over the treated existing gravel, and a installation of a bush the HOA seemed to require. Mauri's was my 3rd contractor I had spoken to, others merely ran with my initial proposed solution and quoted me a price of $4200 and $6500 respectively. Chris' solution came in at $200, and addressed my problem succinctly and significantly cheaper. His officer coordinator Di sent me the contract quote via email as per requested by me, I signed it, emailed it back and the work was done a week later. The front yard looked almost brand new, a definite difference from its tired and dusty appearance prior to the work. I cannot stress enough how Chris' sincerity and concern for tending to my problems sealed his company's place in my list of go-to contractors for landscaping.

Mauri Tree Service has done some nice work for us over the last year or two so, when we needed our irrigation system checked, we didn't hesitate to call Mauri Landscape. As expected, everything went smoothly and the job was done well. Ruben came out to give us an estimate. We scheduled the work to be done the following week. Ruben and Victor came out as scheduled and worked several hours fixing irrigation lines that had been broken or cut, installing the appropriate droppers to deliver the correct amount of water for each plant on the system, and moving the lawn sprinklers and installing the edgestone border along the wall of the house. Ruben and Victor were efficient, friendly, and professional as are all the Mauri workers that have worked on our home. We couldn't be more pleased with the results.

What a wonderful experience it was to work with Mauri Landscapes. When we purchased our home in Summerlin last year, we knew we would need to eventually remove the grass in the yard. After a year of water bills, we decided to do it sooner than later! After finding Mauri's on Angie's list we contacted them and within a week, they came out to look over the area. Because this is a second home, we knew we would be interacting "remote" for a good part of the time, so it was important that we felt very comfortable who we chose. We immediately felt comfortable with Chris (owner) and we looked to him to design something that would be great. Our original plan was to just do the back yard but once we saw his design plans and what we felt were reasonable rates, we decided to go ahead and transform the front yard as well. Between emails and phone calls with both Diana in the office and Chris himself, we received all of the needed info to submit to our HOA. The entire project took 6 days with a crew that varied from 3-7 men each day depending on what they were working on. They were professional, courteous, and knew what they were doing. My husband was there to watch the project unfold and he was very impressed with how smoothly everything went. Approximately 2 weeks after the completion, Chris came out and thoroughly inspected the final results, gave us a personal booklet on all of our plants, instructions on the drip irrigations system and irrigations clock set up. He noticed a couple of things that needed some "final touches" and said he would send someone out to take care of them. We are thrilled with the results! It is wonderful having an expanded living area into the back yard with the addition of the patio. Our neighbors summed it up when they saw it for the first time..." This is like staying at a resort". That is what we wanted .. our sanctuary. We could not be more pleased with the wonderful service both Chris and Diana gave us and the crew was outstanding. From the design phase.. to having the personal appointment to pick out all of the plants, to project completion, we were treated with courtesy and professionalism. Thank you Mauri Landscape team for an outstanding job!

They were extremely good to work with. They have a partnership with a tree service and I called them because of the excellent work they did with the landscaping.

I called when my regular company had an emergency and couldn't make an appointment to trim my palm trees. Mike came out the same day to give me an estimate and tried to match what I would have paid the other company. He really went above and beyond in both trying to meet my budget and providing service the very next day. I am very pleased with the customer service, cost, and outcome. Keep up the great work!

They arrived on time and were done in an hour. They did a great job.

Old dead Tree was removed in the rear of the yard behind the pool, I belive the stump was grinded down but I wasn't home to see the work performed. Tree was about 15' tall with a 4-5" diameter, with little to no branches or growth remaining. The rest of healthy trees on our property were pruned and serviced.Could not tell Tree ever existed, so professional work completed. They ran about an hour late but it wasn't a problem for me as long as the work was completed on that day, and it was completed professionally.

Workers were extremely professional and polite. They worked fast and efficiently.

They called and asked if they could come early, did about 2 hours worth of tree trimming, yard looks great now, awsome job!

Mauri came in to remove two large palm trees that were moving the walls surrounding the yard. They cut down the trees, dug the roots out to a depth of about 18 inches, and filled the holes. They did a little damage to a redwood deck but repaired it within a few days. After the work was done, we couldn't tell a tree had ever been in the spots. The rocks replacing the trees matched those already in our yard, and we were very pleased.

Had Mauri come out to trim about 10 bushes, a tree and refresh the front yard with a ton of rocks. The woman that received the call was very professional and courteous, she scheduled an estimate a few days in the future. The estimator came out, looked at the job for about 15 mins and went back to the shop. We then received a phone call 2 days later to schedule the job. The job itself was outstanding, they were in and out in about 2 hours and the quality was great. This is a fantastic service company, and I will definitely use them again. The only fault I could find was that they were so busy that it took about a week to have the work done.
