Pool is now rusting again. He cleaned up one and replastered two spots but there is one spot that was replastered and the rust is starting to surface again. He never gave me a receipt, contract or invoice. I paid by check, he did not use company name he used his personal name and that was who I wrote the check out to. And now I am having trouble with the work that was done

Tale of two contractors, it was the best of times it was the worst of times.....The good news, MJH Plastering was the best of times, the deck resurfacing done by Surface Pro was the worst of times. Mike at MJH was punctual, always responded to phone messages left on his cell, gave clear concise information, always had no problem with Surface Pro screwing up the schedule. They showed up as scheduled and did the work as promised, went beyond expectations and continued helping with issues well past the date of the pool plastering. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

I was about to hire them... sure am glad I didn't. Michael came out for the quote.. no problems and sent me the quote within a reasonable time but said he would have to send his deck guy out to give me quote for the deck part. At this point I was ready to hire MJH do the work. Michael seemed knowledgeable and the quote for all but the deck was the best I had gotten. He confirmed the tile quality and that it included a full chip out before re-plastering. I was really looking forward to getting the deck quote. A couple of days went by and nothing...almost two weeks before I finally got the deck guy over... he took all the measurements and said Michael would get back to me. I never heard back from them again... I called several times leaving messages, (never got a real person or a return call. I emailed direct, emailed through Angieslist and nothing.. We waited hoping to hear from them as it looked like they would be the only company that would come in within our budgeted amount... After all the delays it took the wind out of our sails and we decided to wait on getting the pool done for a less busy time of the year (and when we won't be in a tier 4 for our water cost) and give us time to save some more money. Very strange that never heard back from Michael again.

Due to lack of resposivness, will never use or reccommend

As stated above, old plaster was removed in one day, New plaster (blue quartz, which we absolutely love) was then applied. We kept our original blue tile and added new beautiful blue handles. Pool looks fantastic and this pool is 15 years old, but you would never know it now.

They were excellent. He owns the company so it was just him coming out all the time to check. He is very knowledgable and they cleaned up beautifully.
