Contacted Lowes to get an estimate for a glass shower door. They charge $40 for someone (a subcontractor) to come out and take the measurements. After calling Lowes and arranging for the subcontractor to come out and take the measurements, nothing happened. I had to follow-up with Lowes several times to get the subcontractor to show up. After the subcontractor came and took the measurements, I waited a week and still never heard back from Lowes. Had to call them again to find out what was going on. It was obvious that Lowes had lost the measurements taken by the subcontractor, as their bid was extremely hap-hazard and substantially greater than the two other bids we received. Overall, a very negative experience. Would never use Lowes again for any type of home improvement project.

I was 100% satisfied with the installation, and the company itself. I went into the store to buy the blinds. I got assistance from a very good customer service girl that was there. I sent a letter to the company telling them how much she went out of her way to help me. The lines are never very long. The installation company that Lowe's had come out installed them perfectly.
Description of Work: I bought some blinds, and they helped me install them.

It has been a complete disaster from almost the outset. Lowe's has a new program where they will "manage" a complete remodel project...all aspects...from beginning to end using their contractors (or subs) to complete the job. I put "manage" in quotes because pretty much after they sold us the "parts" (tile, cabinets, tub, shower enclosures etc.) and got the project started, they disappeared. The project has now entered its 5th week from the start point, and more than two months since we paid our money, with absolutely no end in sight. We went with Lowe's thinking that we would have access to the company's resources and customer service in order to see the project through and work with the contractors efficiently. We could not have been more wrong. Even getting communication from Lowe's about the project, its scheduling and correcting inadequate workmanship was almost impossible. They appear to be masters at ignoring...or even in some cases making fun of...customers. This lack of service extends all the way up to the store manager, when complaints actually reach him. We will see now that I've contacted their corporate offices to intervene if that continues that far. The details: At literally every point in the process after the demolition of the old guts of the bathroom, the remodel has been plagued with errors and oversights. The primary contractor didn't remember aspects of the job that I had to correct with the workers because the contractor was never around. The shower tile was a particular disaster when the shower head was lowered to a height of 5'10" (I am 6'2"), that required the head to be moved another two times to get it to the right height...haveing to rip out tile and put large holes in the wall in order to move it. The wall repair was incredibly sloppy, leaving it lumpy and slathered with many layers of paint...while it was still drying. We were forced to insist they sand it down and repair it correctly, because they would have left it. The shower glass was another adventure: we ordered seamless, rainglass with clips for two bathrooms. The contractor used must be scamming people because after many contacts, measurements, and attempts at communication, the contractor came out to install the enclosures insisting that we didn't order seamless. (Another problem is that none of the workers speak English, so you can't communicate with them unless you speak Spanish...which I guess wouldn't be a big problem if you could count on Lowe's to coordinate and make sure things were right...but you can't). So yet another week's delay with no showers as they have to measure for the third time and go back to square one getting the glass made. And then there are the countertops and sinks. We ordered the countertops with the sinks integrated (Corian-like material). That has been a 4 week "comedy" of errors as we have gotten many different on what happened to the sinks (they were the wrong size, the company went out of business that we work with, they are on back order). We still have no sinks and no ETA on when they will arrive. Will Lowe's go out of their way to make sure they get them...yeah, right, the manager of the Lowe's program said: "they can wait." These are a few examples of what is literally mistakes and extremely bad customer service every single step of the way. We are five weeks in and have absolutely no idea yet when this modest sized bathroom will be completed. Of course Lowe's has my $30,000 so I guess the real fool here is me. I literally have never seen a more poorly run project in my 57 years. They use contractors of extremely questionable competence, the work if you stay on top of them at every turn is at best adequate when it is finally completed. They seem to have very limited access to materials that they sell in their stores, which is mind-boggling. Their representatives have actually at times been insulting to me and my wife for us insisting that the work be completed properly. And they don't communicate, nor do they follow-through. This whole experience has been a $30,000 disaster. We paid a premium for everything thinking we would get good service and an efficient project. We got a complete and total mess. My recommendation is you avoid Lowe's for significant remodel or install projects at any cost. Update: late August...errors and mistakes have kept surfacing and needed to be fixed, which with Lowe's is a very slow process as they don't put priority effort into fixing their mistakes. (Once Lowe's has your money, your only recourse is an attorney). So no usable bathroom six months into this horrid project. Lowe's is simply the worst corporation to do any business with. I am having now to get competent contractors on my own (and pay again) to get the last pieces finished. And that lawyer...they will hear from the lawyer.

I chose to use them because they gave me the best estimate. The service is going pretty good and I’m just waiting for countertops now. I would surely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Lowe's - Centennial Hills did a kitchen remodel for me. The work is still in progress and they are doing the complete kitchen and cabinets.

I know where everything is at that store. I use the self checkout as I like that option. I was in and out quick. I didn't see anyone around to ask but I knew what I needed so just got the items myself. The times I have had someone help me they were very knowledgeable.
Description of Work: We purchased some furniture through them for our new home. I recently purchased some paint there.
