Lin Air Service Co

They arrived on time with Brad as the lead (part of the family that owns the business) and 2 helpers. Brad gave his helpers direction for the initial setup and then he personally went up into the attic to work on the furnace while the setup was taking place. Brad came down and supervised the setup as necessary. By the time Brad completed the furnace work, his helpers were ready to bring in the vacuum system. Brad supervised the setup of this equipment and then filled us in on what he found as he cleaned the furnace. He told us that the furnace was in good condition and that the furnace should be serviced at least once per year. The vacuum system ran for over an hour and during this time, the helpers were outside taking a break and working on the cleaning of the vents. During this time, Brad went outside to do the initial service on the air conditioning unit. When he came in, he gave us the rundown on the unit and said that we needed to make sure that we serviced it once per year to insure efficiency. After the vacuum unit was removed, Brad showed us some of what was removed from the ductwork. He pointed out that we probably would not have to do this process again for at least 5-8 years unless we brought pets or additional people into the house. The whole process took about 3 hours which was the estimated time. The most interesting part was when Brad told us that he ran out of invoices and asked if it would be OK if he mailed us the bill and then we could send him a check. Needless to say, we said yes......

Dave showed up when advertised. He checked each aspect of the units and documented the conclusions. He was also informative regarding replacement units and their costs.

LIN called the tenants arranged an appointment. Came out the very next day inspected and maintained the units. The problem was mostly attributed to a previous contractor with another company that did repairs on the heater and did not seal the unit upon completion, so it was open in the attic and not performing correctly. LIN called me immediately after they performed the service, explained what they found and had addressed. They further updated me on the status of my aging units and answered questions so I could plan how to address unit repairs or upgrades in the future. They charged me $60 for the maintenance. How refreshing! I know good service and knowledge when I see it, that is why the previous contractor on the heater was not called back!I I was so happy with LIN I am having them come out and check my own home's system. I will definitely use LIN and recommend LIN in the future.

The overall experience went very well. In fact it is the best experience I have had with any business since arriving in Las Vegas two years ago. Their customer service is top of the line.

Fast punctual service. They were able to contact the tenant for an appointment and fixed the problem on the first visit. The cost was $200 over the estimate.

Gave me a quote in November 2008 and we finally decided the work needed to be done, I called in March, set up the appointment for 1 week later, and they came and promptly did the work at the price that was quoted to me. I also used this company last Summer to fix our air conditioning after being scammed by another company and they promptly and courteously fixed the problem at a decent price. I won't use any other company as long as I live in Las Vegas.

They sent someone out the day I called. Dave knew what he was doing and was willing to work, and wasn't wearing too much cologne which we appreciate. He detected an error in wiring that must have been done last summer when someone else fixed the air conditioning and which another company a month ago didn't catch during their inspection. He gave good advice about our furnace filters. We will definitely call on them again.

Company was extremely responsive, gave a firm quote and stood by it. They were very communicative during the process and my wife(who was at home during the process)was comfortable with the gentleman who came out to perform the work.

By the time the heat pump was checked, the weather had warmed and the heat pump began to function again. There was no charge for the service call. The serviceman mentioned that the heat unit is old and that a newer model would be more efficient and cost effective, but there was no "hard sell."

From the time that I called for the estimate until the job was finished was a total of 2 days. Everyone was very professional and neat. It was amazing how smooth this all went because I have had awful experiences before. Considering that I had 2 units replaced on my roof I expected it to take much longer and create more of a mess. Dealing with this company was a pleasure and I would highly recommend them.

In addition to the maintenance work, he helped me straighten out all the kinks in the duct work as identified by the inspector before purchase. Unlike some technicians, who always seem to be in a hurry, he welcomed my presence in the attic and answered all my questions.

The technician got lost and showed up 30 mins late. I had to leave work early to meet him, so his lateness left a bad taste in my mouth from the start. He called after he was already 20 mins late to tell me he was lost and to ask for directions. When he got to my house, I told him I needed routine service on my A/C unit, as it had not been checked in several years. He looked at the unit (which took about 5 mins), then came in to tell me it was fine. When I told him that the temperature was inconsistent in different areas of the house, he took digital temperature readings and again told me everything was fine. His solution to the inconsistent temperatures throughout the house was to get a small fan and blow the AC onto the thermostat. The whole transaction took less than 20 minutes (which, notably, is less than the amount of time he was late for our appointment). Needless to say, I was underwhelmed with the entire experience. In addition, I mentioned finding Lin Air on Angie's list, but received no discount on service. In fact, by the other reports, it looks like I was charged at least $10 more.

After living without heat in January for a week in order to fully research our options, we went with Lin-Air. Brent came out and talked to me without being condescending or calling me "honey." He explained the benefits of different SEER models and gave us a price that was competitive. A couple of weeks after the installation we had a problem with our thermostat, so they came out and replaced it for free. From start to finish, Lin-Air was fabulous. Thanks Brent!

They were great, they were extremely professional, they came out here very quickly, they did the work in about one hour, they then gave me information on providing me with a new unit.

I called late on a Thursday evening and spoke to a customer service agent that was very friendly. We explained that we had a baby and the upstairs air had just gone out (where her bedroom is). Brent came to our house the next day at noon, came back at 1:45pm with the new unit and had it replaced and completed by 2:30pm!! We got a new AC unit in LESS THAN 24 HOURS! I cannot tell you how completely impressed I am with the prompt professional service we received. My husband is in construction and knows a thing or two about ACs ... he knows that Brent was 100% honest and correct on his assessment of the situation. Our neighbor had found Lin Air through Angie's List. She passed the info to us about Angie's List and Lin Air. We've already passed our experience on to a few friends needing new AC units. We'll be calling Lin Air to replace our downstairs unit as soon as it goes out as well changing out the fan and heater units to make it more efficient.

It went fine. He had up and running properly in no time at all. They came out the same day I called which I was surprised by. He explained the problem and what he was doing. I will use them again in the future if the need arises.

I wasn't too happy because I called another company and they said they disagreed with Lin's diagnosis and said it was a minor problem.

I was very happy that they acted very fast, especially in the heat of the summer when it's the busy season.

My next door neighbors who speak limited English and who depend on me for assistance since the man of the house is terminally ill had been fleeced (no other words I can think of to describe it) twice because their air conditioner was not putting out cold air. Two service calls at considerable expense with no positive results. First one charged the AC unit with freon which lasted a week or so and then insisted on another service call charge to come out again. The second company basically determined that the unit needed to be replaced. I then entered the picture and found Lin Air on Angie's List. The thing that impressed me even before the service man arrived is how open and responsive the communication was. I initially emailed the company late in the evening and was surprised to get a phone call from Brent that same evening who was most sympathetic to the situation. The service man Dave was most knowledgeable and laid out in an understanding fashion what the problem was or could be, detailing scenarios from best to worst with their attendant costs. He made repairs that hopefully will cure the problem. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

As an electrician, I recognized that the conductor on my AC was going out last year. Three different companies came and looked at it and jerked me around, never replacing the conductor but charging me for unneeded "repairs" instead. Lin Air fixed it right away, and I couldn't be happier.

I called in and Lane set up the replacement for the next day. They showed up on time. All work was preformed quickly, professionally, and they removed the old unit. To add to the already terrific service the price was less than quoted!

The experience was fine. They came and they did what they had to do. They cleaned up after themselves no problem, and it was basically just outside. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

At about 4PM the A/C compressor would shut off for about 15 minutes, but the fan would continue to run. This would continue until about 8PM, then everything would return to normal. Brent came out and checked the system and assured me everything was in great shape. He also reminded me that there was a Nevada power box on the A/C. This has been on for 5 or 6 years and has never acted this way before. It turns out that this was the problem. Brent was kind enough to point out the problem and not charge me a service call.

After having a very bad experience with a locally owned air conditioning company who not only charged me too much to fix the unit, the unit stopped working after a few days. We decided to try Angie's List and found an outstanding company that would fix the unit and not rip us off. Lin-Air responded to our phone call quickly, came out and diagnosed the problem, changed the motor, and now the unit works perfectly. I'm recommending them to all of my neighbors.
