Lin Air Service Co

Lin tried to convince me that I should replace rather than repair unit. (As a first time home owner I didn't know much about furnaces.) I called another company for a second opinion, turns out my furnace is a good brand and less than 5 years old. The part and installation by this other company came to $100. As company 2 was doing the repair I was called by a Lin salesman looking to set up an appointment to sell me a new furnace. I was very disappointed that they tried to sell me something I did not need. The people on the phone, the response time, and the person who visited my home were all very pleasant and I was initially reticent to give them a bad review. This was my first Angie's list call and I soon came to realize the value of Angie's list. The reason for the delay between their visit and my bad review was due initially to my being new to Angie's list and my eventual realization that this is a great service and that these reviews matter to prospective clients. ps. Repair done my second company for $100, so far so good.

Very professional and honest. The experience was great and they had the heat back on in about an hour.

I called at opening time, was told that since I was very close to their office they could work me in that morning. Serviceman arrived about 9:00 am, immediately went up on roof to check the refrigerant level in both units. He discovered a blown fuse in the upstairs unit, replaced the fuse and checked unit for proper operation for several minutes. Very professional and knowledgeable, and did not try to oversell me.

I called, Lin Air gave me a time window..Tech listened to my description of what was wrong..It was a loose component on the heater...The tech had up and running in 30 minutes...Only charged for the service call. We are very pleased with the service. And.....the techs were friendly.

The technician, Dave, arrived within the pre-arranged time period and checked the airflow from our registers. He also went into the attic to be sure the ducts were connected properly and straightened out a kinked duct. He checked the air return to be sure there were no restrictions and that the ducts were clean. He recommended a freer flowing register style and advised us where we could get them economically. He did exactly what we requested, performed professionally, and didn't try to sell us any products or services that weren't needed. I wouldn't hesitate to use Lin Air again or reccommend them to friends.

They did an excellent job. The workers were good. They cleaned up after the installation, they put something down on the floor before they started the work. They were very good. Of the bids I got they had the best price. They were on time, too.

We have had trouble with our heater on and off since we moved into our house about 6 years ago. We have had at least two other companies come out to try and get the unit working properly. We've had a couple of different parts replaced (costing us almost $1000) and it has never fully fixed the problem. Every time our heater stopped working, it would always be at night when it was the coldest and/or there was moisture in the air. We thought that after Dave had replaced the pressure switch that we'd finally fixed the problem. Unfortunately not. When Brent came out for Visit #3, it was the day before New Year's Eve and he had a lot of other customers to get to. In spite of this, he spent close to 2 hours trying different things to get it going. He patiently explained everything to me in layman's terms what was going on and then he was nice enough to explain the whole situation over the phone to my husband at work. One of the alternatives we were facing was to pay $5200 for a replacement unit, but at no time was Brent a pushy salesman. Both my husband and I believe that we were given an honest assessment of the problem and it was completely left up to us to decide what course of action to take. After all the time he'd spent at our house and all the things that he'd tried, he still did not charge us any further fees. The heater has never run so well or so consistently in all the time we have lived here. If something does go wrong with the unit again, Lin Air will be the only ones we call for help. The heater in our rental property was not heating at all. We called Lin Air and Dave came out the same day to evaluate the problem. He didn't have the control board on his truck, but was able to get it by the next day. He was very prompt and very professional. Today we had another contractor working in the attic (where the heater is located) and a switch was damaged accidently, causing the heater to stop working. We called and Dave came out right away to check out the problem. He didn't even charge for the service call, just advised us what we needed to fix to correct the problem. He also rewired the thermostat that my husband had installed so we wouldn't have to worry about any problems. We have used Lin Air for both our rental property and home and been impressed by them every time

It went excellent. I have used Lin Air in the past and will use them again.

.no furnace, with freezing temps expected. Dave carefully explained to us what was wrong and what it would cost. My husband said "do it", then after completion asked Dave a number of questions concerning our present furnace/ac which is 16 years old and about a new one ..Dave answered carefully and completely.

Wonderful Service; before winter starts I wanted to make sure we had enough filters for the year. They are wonderful--even after installing a new unit I feel they will continue too be there for questions and preventive services. THANKS AGAIN!!

If your in need of HVAC work done Lin-Air is the right choice! I joined Angie's List and began my search for a HVAC repair and install company. I called the top three rated on Angie's list. My first call was to Brent at Lin-Air. Brent showed up on time and I have to tell I was very impressed with his knowledge and his willingness to listen to my needs and concerns and to tell you the truth I liked Brent personally right away! I went ahead scheduled the other two company's highly referred on Angie's List. They were all very professional. After much research I decided to work with Brent and Lin-Air. I'm so happy I did! I feel like all my questions and concerns were answered and explained in detail. The price was within my budget and the installation went off without a hitch. Time will only tell if my opinion will be the same in the future but I can tell you honestly I feel like Brent and Lin-Air will continue to give the best customer service that anyone can expect. It is my opinion that if you need this kind of service their the ones to call! Once again thank you Brent and Lin-Air for everything.

We received quotes from four companies and selected Lin Air for several reasons. First, we only talked to companies with good ratings and reviews on Angie's List. Of the companies, Lin Air met our criteria the best:: quality of heat pump (American Standard - same interior components as Trane); cost (very reasonable and included 10 yr extended warranty, parts and labor); and co-owner of company answered all questions. Lin Air.was professional, prompt and gave us their lowest price when we first contacted. None of the "games" some other companies play with cost estimates. The installation was performed on time with no surprises and we now have a very efficient 14 SEER unit.

Initially the first time I called to get information, in regards to cost and information, the young lady that answered the phone was extremely helpful and kind in answering my questions. When we decided to go with LinAir we had a very odd time frame that we had to work with, and they were more than happy to make it happen, and even squeezed us in when they were already booked for the day. The gentleman that came out and serviced our units serviced and checked them fairly thoroughly, and advised us that at this time there were no problems that he could see. (the house is less than 4 years old, and units are in very good shape.)

I team of four workers arrived on time. They also called to say the were on their way. They went right to work. They explained that a worker would have to come in to replace the thermostat. A new programmable touch screen was included. The crane arrived 15 minutes after the workers. The whole job took about 3 hours. Everyone worked together to get the job done. A good overall experience.

I called them up for a service call on a Wed late afternoon because my AC was blowing but the air was not cold...of course it was over 100 F. They were able to come out the following morning, and he tried to get the compressor working and tried replacing two parts to get it working, but could not because it was beyond repair. He also explained that my intake valve was very narrow for a 5 ton unit, and recommended that I get a whole new unit rather than spending 2500 or more to repair compressor and fix the other part that was leaking in the garage. Although overall this was very "bad" news as I had nowhere near budgeted for this and I was thinking that it was a minor problem because I never heard loud noises (like my neighbor's A/C squeaking), it was nice that he attempted to fix it and yet did not charge me for the visit, but was rather sympathetic that were were in the mist of the desert heat with a toddler. He never pressured us, but rather gave us time to consider our options financially, and when we called them back a couple of days later, the install was done quickly and neatly. Brent checked the entire airflow himself and gave good recommendations for filter changes and air flow ideas for different rooms. Within minutes the house dropped 3 degrees, and we felt the air cooler and flowing stronger in places we had never been able to feel air flow. We are so grateful and happy with the performance of the AC and if we have any problems, I am confident that Lin Air will stand behind their install and their service.

My 17-year-old air conditioner finally died, and when I called Lin Air they sent Lance out within 4 hours. He was very informative and educated me on the different units based on my individual needs. He was not pushy, and I appreciated that. He gave me a reasonable firm price, so I decided to go with them and we scheduled installation for Monday. They showed up on time, got the prep work done; the crane arrived at noon, as scheduled, and everything went off without a hitch. My new air conditioner was up and running by 1:30. Lance even hauled off an old swamp cooler for me that hadn't worked in years, at no charge. Now, that's customer service!

Very well good company I would use them again

It went very well. The lady who answered the phone was really nice. Even though we were not in a particular hurry (we also have a downstairs unit for cooling) she was very concerned about getting someone out as soon as she could because Vegas is brutal in the summer. She scheduled me for the next day and gave me a 12p-4p window for the technician's arrival. He arrived at 2p and she called about 15 minutes before to let me know he was on his way. He was polite and efficient. He showed me the part that had burned out and explained a little about the repair. After he wrote up the invoice, he answered a few questions I had about a possible replacement a couple of years down the road. I was really, really pleased with the service. Most particularly that he did not try to sell me anything other than what was needed. I had another company that really tried the hard sell on their pricey "maintenance" program. Best of all: I got a 10% discount because I told them I had found the company on Angie's list. That alone paid for our year membership.

Excellent response time. Thorough examination of the unit and several alternatives presented. Excellent experience overall. Was sensitive to the problem and the costs involved in repair or replacement. Highly recommended.

They are so nice and professional. It?s a family owned business and I?ve encountered a different son every time and they have all been great! They stand out in the hot sun and will take all the steps necessary to ensure the work is done properly! They give a discount to Angie's List member as well!

I noticed that mainly in the middle of the night when it's quietest, there was what sounded like a rattling sound from within the duct work. I couldn't tell if it was actually in the ducts or just the directional vent. When I spoke with Lane, he told me he'd be here at 10am and he was on the dot! He came to look - actually listen - to the problem, removed the directional vent and voila!, all was quiet. He packed up his things and started out the door when I asked how much for the service call. He told me "no charge" as we'd just been out here about a month ago to check out your unit. This is how an honest, family-owned & operated business really runs! Thank goodness for "the little guy"!

They called me back at 8am and said they would come out late morning or by noon. Brent said that if one if his techs gets done sooner, he will send him out. I got a call an hour later saying they will be over in 30 mins. After they replaced the piece, the tech washed down the sides of my AC unit and explained why but also explained more in detail on how to maintain it. Very professional and nice.

Overall everything checked out just fine and only had to pay the Angie's list discounted service fee of $60.00 as opposed to the regular $75.00 the would normally charge.

Was quick and seemed thorough. They did not try to sell me something I didn't need. Honest.
