Description of Work: Replaced the carburetor on my lawn mower. It ran perfect when I got it back. This is a very "old school" shop. Still uses hand written invoices; but this is exactly the kind of place I was looking for. I believe the gentleman that helped me was the owner too.

Description of Work: After dissatisfaction with several lawn care services, decided to resume doing it myself. (If you want something done right... :-) ) Gassed up my old mower only to have all of the gas leak right back out again. Used Angie's List to find the Lawn Mower Shop and I couldn't be happier. Took the mower in on a Friday morning, received (free!) estimate by 2:00 pm that afternoon. Accepted the estimate and was promised completion by the next Wednesday (they finished early, the next Tuesday). Replaced carburetor, gapped plug, sharpened and balanced blade. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Lawn Mower wouldn't run. Called took it in 2 days later it was done. Runs great. would recommend these very pleasant folks to anyone. rebuilt carb, change oil, sharpen & balance blade.

+ -1 moreAfter a trip to the Lawnmower Shop, our 10 year old lawnmower works like new again. It now starts first time every time and runs smoothly. We'll make a trip here a part of our regular maintenance from now on.
Description of Work: We took our lawnmower to the Lawnmower Shop because it was not starting up and the rip cord broke off. The Lawnmower shop replaced the cord, tuned-up the engine, and sharpened the blades.

+ -1 moreIt seemed no one could fix this mower - one wanted to replace the motor (nothing wrong with motor), one had it in its estimate area for a week and a half, and one didn't stock Toro parts. Called Lawn Mower Shop, he listened and told us to bring it in. It was fixed by the next day. Impressive and the parts total was $2.04!

+ -1 moreUnit was repaired, tuned-up and ready for spring within 2 days, it now starts on the first attempt! He gave me free advise that applies to all of us - buy only the amount of gas you can use right away or add a fuel conditioner such as Sta-Bil to prevent the gas from going bad and clogging the mowers fuel system.

+ -1 moreThis was the only shop we found in Las Vegas that would be able to fix the lawnmower in less than a month. Everyone else was too busy. So, we brought it in. We were pleasantly surprised when George said he could fix it and it would be done in a couple of days. When I went to pick it up, George showed me in detail what was fixed and started it up for me. Then he took it apart, showed me how to reassemble it, then took it apart again and put it in my car. When I got home, I mowed the lawn and ever since the mower has been running like new (and it is not new at all). The overall experience from price to work completed to customer service reminded me of the way that little shops used to be...keep up the good work, George!
Description of Work: The carburetor was fixed and the whole lawn mower was tuned up, to include a new spark plug.
