Las Vegas Air Conditioning

This is a follow up to a previous review. Las Vegas Air Conditioning supposedly performed a 22-point inspection of my system last December. During that visit they indicated there was a bad capacitor that needed replacing. The estimate was $371 and I declined the service. I later found the replacement part was available for less than $6.00 making me feel they attempted to scam me. In April of 2016, I found more potentially issues that concern me. When I tried using the AC for the first time this Spring, it failed to operate. When I called another service company to repair it, the technician found the wire in the furnace/AC unit that sends the start signal to the AC was severed. It is not on a moving part so the tech told me it was highly unlikely that it failed by itself. It leaves me with three conclusions. First, they failed to notice the severed wire with their inspection. Second, when they removed the capacitor in order to try and get me to have it replaced, they may have broken the wire. Third, they may have severed the wire on purpose hoping to get another service call from me this spring when the AC didn't work. In either case, I am more convinced than ever before that this company cannot be trusted and will never use them again.
