Description of Work: Main water line broke and there was a lot water running down that street at midnight. I turned off the main and called in the morning. They were at my house 10 am and the plumber that came found what happened and fix it right there and then. Great service and no nasty surprises with the amount I had to pay. Will only call Larkin.

Description of Work: Carl, the plumber, found the cause of a high pitched hum that started about a month ago which was loud enough to wake me up. It came from the master bathroom when the backyard sprinklers came on and hummed the whole circuit. It drove me crazy. Carl said it sounded like a vibration. He started feeling the bathroom inside faucets and then the valve in the sprinkler box. None were vibrating! He went back to the bathroom while the backyard sprinklers were still on and turned the toilet valve off and on. He had found the problem was in the toilet when the valve was turned off. NO MORE squealing sound! I was shocked how fast he found the problem. Carl changed the toilet part in the tank, and I no longer slept with the bathroom door closed or a pillow on my head. He was a great detective. I thought it would involve digging up sprinklers or worse!

Description of Work: Casey came out to install another anti-syphon (back flow valve) for the second time in 8 months. They replaced this same valve back in April and 8 months later the same valve had to be replaced again at my cost -not Larkin's. Casey was extremely pleasant, and informative (both times) but charged me $139.50 per hour to install the valve on both visits. What really bothered me was that Larkin also charged me $160.39 for the back flow valve which I found the exact valve at Star Nursery for $69.99. That's a 133% mark-up on the part! Not to mention that he charged me $7.95 for a glue kit which was not left with me and I assume he then took to the next job. I have been a customer of Larkin Plumbing for at least 16 years and a resident of Las Vegas since 1977. I called and spoke with a man whom I gave my complaints to and he said Larkin has to pay more for the parts because they are a small company. He also told me I was "lucky" that Casey didn't charge me another hour of labor as the appointment ran over 5 minutes. My suggestion to Larkin is that they buy their parts at Star Nursery and give their customers a break --adding $90.00 to a $70.00 part is RIDICULOUS and a rip-off. I will NEVER call Larkin Plumbing again. I will find a reputable and conscientious plumbing company in the future.

Description of Work: Larkin had to fix a clog in one toilet and also fixed a leak under the sink.

 + 0 moreI am extremely pleased with the prompt efficient service from Larkin Plumbing when my water heater blew up. Early one evening I had water running everywhere and Larkin plumbing came right out to analyze the problem. He got everything turned off for me and told me I would have to replace my water heater. We scheduled an appointment for five the next day to do the replacement as I work all day and he was here on time. The service man was great he gave me some tips on how to spot water seepage in my tank and sounds to listen for that are a sign of a problem. He did a great installation and I was pleased with the prompt customer service I had received as well. I was between pay periods and they were great to give me some time to pay for it.
Description of Work: Larkin Plumbing came right out when I called them as I had water running down my driveway from the water heater blowing up. They removed the old water heater, helped clean up the mess and installed the new heater in one evening.

 + -1 moreLarkin Plumbing was very late getting to my appointment when I had them scheduled to come to repair some leaky pipes. The man was supposed to come around 8am and by noon he still didn t come, so I ran out to do an errand. I arrived back at 1pm to see the plumber just arriving and he did not even call to say he would be late. This is an old house with a lot of rotten pipes and I was not real pleased when he had to sandblast in my closet to get to the pipes. The one plumber took three days to get my pipes replaced and I do not feel I received very good customer service from this company.
Description of Work: Larkin Plumbing sent out a service man to repair some leaky pipes in our home. It took three days work as he had to sandblast in our closet walls by the bathroom to replace the pipes.

 + 0 moreI have used Larkin Plumbing for three generations of service men and they always stand being their work. I recently had a problem with my hot water heater and they came right out when I called. The heater needed to be replaced; they removed the old system and installed the new unit in one day. In the past they replaced seals in my bathroom fixtures as well as replaced a couple of toilets and they always do a great job with no mess left behind.
