Kitchenland Inc

The cabinets, medicine cabinet, and mirrors turned out great. Installer (I believe it was Mickey) knew what he was doing and worked hard the whole time he was there. Lou was my salesperson, and he was pleasant, responsive, and customer-service oriented. My only complaint is that the mirror frames took a long time to be completed. But overall, I would not hesitate to use Kitchenland again.

When we first talked with kitchenland,inc, we were given greeted with a "I'm your new best friend smile". We went through the usual trips to their show room. When an agreement was made we were given a computer generated picture of the finished kitchen. Partial payment was made according to the agreement. When the cabinets came and delivered the installers started installing. The first mistake happened when the installers had the cabinet for the stove top offset 9". This would not have centered the stove under the vent. When we pointed this out to the installers their only comment is this is what the drawing shows. At no time did the installers say, "Hey this isn't quite right". The installers did not communicate with us. When that run of cabinets got to the end there was a 24" cabinet instead of a 30" cabinet like the picture that was provided to us. we did not see a drawing till the cabinet installers arrived. At this time we had a meeting with kitchenland's owner and the installers. the computer was blamed for the mistake. To get the 30" cabinet we did settle for another cabinet to be added to that run. Another point arose when the cabinets go to a corner where we were going to have a cabinet for the R.O. init with access from under the sink. Again the installers stonewalled us not wanting to have a cabinet bottom in the corner. Again we wer told we would have to talk to their boss. This was finally worked out after another meeting. During the installation the owner had to go leave for a family emergency. I don't fault him for that as everyone has family emergencies. However during this time no one showed up and we were left living in a partially completed mess. Calls to kitchenland's office would get "I'll tell (John (the owner). John would not call. We finally stopped payment on the check and then John called. Upon return he made a point to come to the house with his I'm your new best friend smile and things got back on track for a while.
