I was supposed to have a doorbell moved, but it was recommended by the contractor not to do so. So instead, I needed a light fixture installed over my patio. The electrician did a very good job with the installation. I would definitely use this company again.

Spent an hour and a half trying to adjust the pendant lights and went over my allotted 4 hour time....by one hour. 5 hours to put up two pendents and a fan...the fan took 1/2 hour to put up.

Electrician was very courteous, prompt & did a good job.

We bought a 4 hour deal. They contacted us right away to schedule a time to come out. They came out the next day to do the work.They were very nice a did a good job. They changed the light bulbs in the kitchen, but I wanted them to check the wiring in the "can" lights because it seems like the lights burn out fast. My husband may not have told them this. Now the lights are burned out again, but it may not be their fault.

Nice, knowledgeable, and clean. Will use him in the future for electrical needs.

Repairman came a little early but that's OK. He quickly identified the problem and had it all fixed in less than 2 hours.

We had an emergency because our A/C unit wasn't working because of a bad breaker. Kemet arrived less than an hour after our call, which was unbelievable. These guys saved the day.

He responded quickly and came out the next day! He did a great job!

The provider was professional and friendly. Since the ceiling was over the limit, I was charged an additional $50. The reason was that an addition person was needed to manage the over-sized ladder. Unfortunately, the additional person was not able to work that day. As I desired to keep the date we had chosen because of my busy schedule, I myself assisted the provider with the ladder. I was still charged the additional $50 and paid it as that was the agreed upon price. The original price was $75. The fan looks great and works perfectly.

Same day service that I bought my service voucher. Very nice and thorough. I felt like I got a great deal!

I contacted Kamau on 5/16/15 and made an appointment for Monday am to install my 2 bathroom fans and wire and install a celing fan. I explained to him during our conversation that is was my birthday on that day and I would need to be leaving by 11:45am to get to my lunch. I woke up and had everything ready for him by 7am (since that is what I saw his business hours were). Around 9:45am I still haven't heard from Kamau so I texted him and he said he would be here within the hour. Im thinking well we aren't going to get this done today, maybe he was just coming to give me an estimate. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. So I text back to remind him that I have to leave by 11:45 am. He responds at 10:39 "I don't have a parking space". I then told him that all of the open spots are free parking or he could park in my spot and I gave him the #. He texts back "truck won't fit under covered spots" Keep in mind we have about 40 open spots in this complex. All units are owned no office. I then told him he could just pull up in front of building #9 (since we don't have time to do any work now because it is almost 11am) to give me an estimate and he replies with "Some places are not vendor friendly and yours is one. I think I will pass on your job" ?????? WHAT??? When I have spent my WHOLE BIRTHDAY AM waiting for you to get here?? Vendors are at this complex all of the time. I would highly suggest you choose someone else for you job. This guy is not cool at all!!! Total disregard for peoples time.

This contractor called to tell me that he was coming on a certain day. That day came and went, no call, no show (someone was home all day). He got upset when I called him the next morning to find out what had happened. He claimed that my phone number "doesn't work" (even though no one else had a problem getting through). He then told me that he would be by at 1:00 that afternoon. The day came and went, no call no show. I returned from going out to dinner to find his card in the front door, with the time 6:20 PM written on it - more than five hours after he was supposed to have been there. At work the next day I found a message on my office voice mail from him. He had called me at 5:30 PM - half an hour after I had left for the day - to tell me that he was coming over. When I spoke to him the next morning he acted as if he had done me a favor by showing up unannounced more than five hours after he was supposed to have been there. He finally arrived on day four at about 4:00 PM. His attitude was terrible. He complained about everything - me calling him, me opening the fan box (I had originally considered installing it myself and I needed to look at the parts in order to decide). He does good work, but the constant complaints and his derogatory remarks (directed toward me) were highly unprofessional. Unfortunately my wife was at home listening to all of this and I wasn't there to give it right back. When he finished the job he asked for a check for an additional $85 "to pay my guys" (he worked alone). I had already paid $75 for an Angie's List special for fan installation. As he walked out the door he made a sarcastic comment about "finally getting together". Hire this contractor at your own risk. He does good work, but I have never seen a worse attitude in anyone in the service industry. He obviously doesn't care about his customers enough to keep them informed, and he has no concept of their time being valuable, too. I strongly suspect that he padded the bill because he was mad about me calling him. I can't imagine what he did that more than doubled the cost of the installation. I wish I had been home, because I would have confronted him on it. This review was revised after I spoke to my wife (who was home during the service call) about how it went. It was worse than I thought.

Kamau saved the day! I was having trouble finding someone to remove a very large ceiling fan from our 20 foot ceiling and install a new one. Kamau came to the rescue! He was very responsive and professional and had it installed the day after I contacted him! I would definitely recommend him and his services.

He did very well and was thurough in his trouble shooting . He worked with me around my doctors appointments. He has a can do attitude. He repaired a light the was over 32 years old.

.I have learned that Kamau is a one man show and he does his own scheduling in his head, as people call him. So, on that point, being flexible with him is a good thing. He will show up, but early appointments are best if you need a definite time. I purchased two hours, but ended up needing four, as it took some time to trace down the problem - one of many! I'm definitely comfortable having him in my home, as he is professional, courteous and takes the time to do things correctly and to the best of his ability. He doesn't rush and seems more intent on doing the job than on getting it done and getting on to the next. He also got my hot water heater working that I was told I would need to replace! Was a fluke thing, but if he hadn't taken the time to look at the circuit I'd have been looking to replace it. He did a lot of different things for me, as I had many issues. I was happy with the price as he spent some time at my house. I am calling him back again to do some additional work for me.

Great - I highly recommend him. He was prompt, knowledgeable and professional. He also had me take pics with my cell phone to send him so he could pick up parts on the way to save money. He was fast and thorough performing the repair.

Service was great. A team of two came in went immediately to work and had it done within about 1/2 hour. Left the site perfectly clean and me totally satisfied.

Let me start by saying Kemet Electric appears to be a one-man show. Punctuality was honestly a little lacking, but for just him running the scheduling, installations and everything else, i really could not dock him down for that. I just want those reading this review to be aware, up front, and be patient - he's worth whatever minor inconvenience being late might cause! Getting a hold of him is pretty easy. He does respond fairly quickly to text messages and phone calls during business hours. The longest wait was the first phone call, which was made after 6pm, and i received a call back the next day around 11 am. The consultation was free and made the same day of the initial call back, which was great. His estimate was very reasonable and involved quite a bit more work than other electricians I had quote me before i made my final decision. I did NOT discuss any previous estimates with Kamau before he gave me his estimate and recommendations. The biggest thing that stands out is he cares about adding value to the work he does. He genuinely wants to make your home a better place, which I have found to be extremely rare for most contractors, and his workmanship also reflects this - yes, he actually walks his talk! He used high quality materials and even though i never received a formal estimate in writing, he honored his spoken word and did not charge any overage. I must also give big kudos for be extremely clean. He and his assistant must have gone up and down the stairs 8-10 times throughout the course of the job to dispose of waste and it all went into the back of his truck - not my trash can or my yard, even though it was mostly dust and would have just blown away. All i had to do when they were done was a light vacuum for dust and insulation particles - didn't even need to change the sheets and they were working directly above a bed in 3/4 of the rooms. Definitely recommend and definitely keeping his number for future projects!

I was happy to see an electrician with such good reviews on Angie's List. Kamau and his helper did a good job on the work. When I contacted him through Angie's List he mentioned that he was booked up a week out, so we set the appointment for 2/19/15. I sent him a list of things that we needed done and then didn't hear back from him until the day before the appointment, when he told me he couldn't do three of things on the list (install wall oven, microwave and range hood). I wished I'd known that before I waited a week. On the day of the appointment, he called and I was in a meeting, so I called him back about 45 minutes later and he stated that he'd already gone onto another job since he didn't talk to me. Then he said he might make it on our appointment day, but probably the next day. Luckily, we both work from home, so we were here for the appointment on 2/20/15, a Friday. He showed up the next day on time and ready to go. I walked him around and showed him what we needed. I also left my Shop Vac out on the patio and showed him that. He and his helper got the outdoor lights installed and they look great! He also installed the outlet in the garage and one outside, as well as rewiring the pool pump so it bypasses my old timer, as I asked. The work itself was well done. I was a little disappointed with his communication. Also, I had to vacuum up 4 messes they left: Under the light out front, the light out back, the outdoor electrical outlet and the worst one was in the garage. Sheetrock dust was everywhere on my workbench, in my tool bags on the floor, etc. They DID do a fine job on the work, but they didn't clean up after themselves at all. I probably would hire Kamau again, because he's a very nice guy and did great work. But I would make sure to state in advance that he would be cleaning up after himself.

All work was done to my satisfaction. The work was done by the owner himself, Kamau. He seemed very knowledgeable and completed the work safely. He was very friendly and informative. I would comment that the appointment was not formally scheduled from his office. Instead, he called me on the phone to see if I would be home if he came in the next 15-20 minutes. It worked fine because I was home for the day. I would call him again for any electrical issue.

Kamau is a no nonsense type of guy. If you did crappy work yourself, like I did, he will comment on it. He's a great value and I would recommend him highly.

He arrive in the evening which is not his preferred time but he had promise over the phone he was coming and he wanted to keep his word. VERY Professional!
