About us

Kemet Electric is an owner operated company. I Kamau Bakari will personally be on each job at your service. You will have 30 years of my electric expertise and 17 years of owning and operating Kemet Electric. I have extensive experience of working closely with interior designers/decorators. For example centering chandeliers over tables, installing new sconces, also centering vanity lights over sinks. With my stock of large ladders I can install on 20 foot ceilings. Very well. Kamau came out and gave us a bid and explained what needed to be done. They were timely in arriving for the installation, laid down tarps to protect floors, installed the fan and toggle switch. They are friendly and professional and definitely would hire them again for any of our electrical needs.

Quick, same day service. He knew exactly what needed to be done and it took him about 5 minutes.
Description of Work: Two of our outlets and the bathroom fan had no electricity. We tried to fix it ourselves and he even tried to just help me over the phone for free. I wasn’t able to do it myself so he helped us out. He then taught us how to prevent the problem from reoccurring.

Kemet Electrical did a great job. Even moved one fan from one room to another without charging extra. He was careful and took care of our new home. Cleaned up and left no mess. Would definitely hire again. Best price that I was quoted.

Everything went much better than we could have possibly expected. We are going to have him come back and install recessed lighting in my husband's man cave. Great job and nice man!
Description of Work: He removed an old ceiling fan and installed a beautiful ceiling fan in its place. In our vaulted great room, he installed a new ceiling fan with reinforced electric placement. There was not electric in the place previously. He then installed a wall control. The work was so carefully done, and he did not make any mess at all. He is very particular about making sure the work is exactly like it should be done. He works as if he was installing the fan in his own home. We also had an old bathroom fan that I wanted to replace. He purchased new insides for the fan and a new cover. After he installed it, the fan works like new at a fraction of the cost.

Description of Work: The electrician installed a ceiling fan where there was no outlet. He had to climb up in my attic, which I didn’t know I had. It was a big job and he did it so well. He also removed a cheap fan and light combo in my dining room and installed a new light fixture.

I texted the owner Saturday morning and let him know when I would be home over the next few days. He responded within about 2 hours and said he could come over that same afternoon. He arrived right on time, and was done in less than an hour. He left the house immaculate when he was done, and packaged all the parts of the old ceiling fan so I could dispose of it easily. I am very pleased and will hire him again for other electrical work.
