Trouble with communications with company 2 phone calls and 1 Angie's List message to contractor on 10/05/2014 not returned.

Called them and there was no answer. Called back and there was no answer. Never received a call back, so I emailed them and I never got a reply.

Luis and his crew were very professional, courteous, and did an excellent job. They were on time everyday, stayed on the job, and left the area clean and secure at the end of each day. All work performed was of top caliber and completed within the timeframe he quoted. Luis made me feel very comfortable and completely knowledgeable of the work I wanted performed. Luis beat everyone's prices and I would highly recommend him.

He never showed up. Called twice and no response.

On Oct. 2, no one from J&L showed up. And no one at J&L picked up the phone when I called to see whether they simply needed to reschedule. No one from J&L responded to two voice mail messages and one email I sent them. This is by far the worst service I've ever seen from a service provider of this sort in my ten years living in Las Vegas.

Just a rude guy from the start.

I had just got home from vacation and noticed my daughter left the hose running the entire time we were away on the side of our trailer. My neighbor turned it off after catching it a few days later but by that time we were back it was already to late. I never knew mold could grow so quickly and the smell is sickening. My neighbor who actually turned the water off had referred Luis to me. I love this gentleman. His work is exceptional. He was available, ready and WORTH EVERY PENNY! I called fairly late so we made an appointment for the following morning. Luis showed up on time and handle the situation like a pro. He explained everything to me and made me well aware of things to do or not do in the future to prevent mold. I learned he's a handy man an he actually will be coming back in October to complete some renovations in my kitchen and bathroom. Thanks Luis for saving the day. It's very hard coming across good quality business nowadays. 5 stars! THANKS!

I woke up to a flooded kitchen and went on Angie's List to find someone to help repair the damage. I found only great reviews on J&L and I decided to go with them. Luis, the owner, came that day and gave me a reasonable estimate. They were able to start immediately. They stripped the floor, replaced the dishwasher. They found mold and also removed it. The work was done with little disturbance to the rest of my home. I was 100% impressed and I will certainly use them again, and recommend to my friends.

Guest bathroom had water damaged during my friends their stay. One of their kids left the water running. Tub over flowed and seeping thru the bedroom. Waited for my guest to leave ( about 6 days) to inspect the actual damage. Bad choice cause we can smell mold both in the bathroom and bedroom. I remembered J & L and informed him of the situation. He did remodeled our previews rental last year .And he did an awesome job. Next day, Luis , the owner showed up to inspect the place. Molds were all over the bedroom and bathroom floors and wall. Luis needed to remove all the molds. We were mostly concerned about it. But we knew J & L before and never doubted their work. Wall was gutted out, molds removed, floors replaced. Very thankful we came across J & L . Luis, keep up the good work. J & L Construction services are Always Exceptional. Not to forget, every penny we paid for was worth it.

Luis is SUPERMAN! I've had him in my contacts from in the past when I had plumbing issues. I noticed mold forming in my kitchen, starting to grow up the wall. I have young children and pets so this was a matter that had to be dealt with fairly quickly. Luis listened, quoted me a good price and was available the same day to fix this problem. He's a great contractor and I look forward to some future renovations Luis will assist my family with! Thank you SO much!!!

Incredibly professional. This team responded to my emergency in a timely and efficient manner. On top of it all, they were priced far more reasonably than the 2 others I reached for. They were careful to outline all that needed to be done - and done right! As a single mom with 2 children, I can't tell you how much I appreciated their flexibility and honesty. Thrilled to hear they can do so much more than showers and tubs! Will be forever a fan!

They were on time and professional. They stayed on the job until it was complete and left the job neat and clean. They were courteous and did a great job.

Great company, they beat everyones price and did amazing job. Luis the owner is there everyday making sure things go right. His partner is more like a secretary but the nicest guy u ever met. Both guys know what their doing!!!

I got a call from my wife while I was at work letting me know that water was leaking in to our downstairs kitchen from our upstairs master bath. I talked my wife through the process of shutting off the water to the house and then a coworker suggested I call Luis with J & L to help me find the leak and get a quote on fixing it. Luis agreed to meet me at my house that night when I got off of work which was really appreciated. It didn't take long for him to discover that the leak was actually one that had been there a while and was a fitting in my "wisbro" (sp?) pipe that had gone bad. It was clear I had big issues because I had mold, due to the length of time the leak was there, on top of sheetrock damage. Luis gave me an estimate, that included the mold cleanup, and while I wasn't pleased to have to come out of pocket for a fix like this I was pleased it wasn't more due to nightmare stories I've heard about mold cleanup. I trusted Luis based on my friends recommendation and the fact that he's a licensed contractor and seemed to really know what he was looking at and had done it all before. While he was fixing the damage we also had him upgrade the cabinetry, countertops, and sinks. All in all it turned out excellent and he was in and out like nothing flat. His guys were very professional to work with and I'd trust them with even bigger jobs I may have down the line (wife has a patio cover and kitchen remodel on her wish list). At any rate...A+ for Luis and J & L.

Provider arrived on time, looked at the bathroom and measured. He showed us a notebook with pictures of other work the company had done. The he told us the work would cost $20-25,000. We have not heard from him since then.

Business did not contact me within 2 days, so I called them on the 3rd day after purchasing the deal. Spoke with Luis and explained what I needed and he explained what he could do. Unfortunately, he only did visual inspection for, and eradication of, visible mold but could not certify the presence or absence of hidden mold. He advised that I may want to pursue a refund or locate another provider that could perform the services needed. I really appreciated his honesty and advice.

From now on we are going to stick by them. Previously they had done the total remodeling of our master bathroom and we will be using them to remodel the kitchen because we were so pleased with them. They are our contractors and they do pretty much everything. They also do heating and air conditioning as well. They are very personable, they keep you updated on everything they are doing when they are doing it, they call you before they come, they work around your schedule if you have a problem. They are just good people. They are trustworthy, if something is not right, they will fix it and they will keep asking you to check it and make sure that it is to your satisfaction. Price wise they were comparable. If he cannot do something for us we will go ahead and take his recommendation.

It went well but they had to do more work in the attic due to the space and placement. They were not able to finish but came back the next day (Sunday) to finish the job. Luis saw some separation at the baseboard in one of the rooms. He had it sealed and cleaned. His company does other work like bathrooms, kitchen and he will be our go to guy when the time comes.

We bought the big deal but the provider was so busy we decided not to wait and asked for refund on the big deal.

I was very impressed to find an honest AC company. I recently called one of the large providers in the Las Vegas area for their advertised $49.99 AC service to ensure a cool summer. After the tech came out to my property, he spent no more than 2 minutes looking at the exterior of my AC before he told me it was time to replace the entire unit. I was quoted well over $5000 and the tech seemed to be quite angry with me when I told him I would need to shop around. I was treated poorly and felt very disrespected because I did not have the money to just fork over to these guys. Thats where Angies list paid for itself. I immediately jumped on here, being new to the area, the only AC companies I knew are the ones advertising all over the TV sets. I read reviews from J&L Construction and was very impressed and happy to give them a shot. I was thrilled when I called that I was able to actually speak to the owner of the company, someone with something to lose over bad service. Luis promptly set a time with me, same day may I add, and showed up on time. He first stepped foot into my house and tested my AC unit. That made me turn back and think, the last company never even came in to turn the unit on! Luis opened up the unit and actually explained to me the issue. I was very impressed to be walked through the process and felt as if I learned a little something after the process was complete. I was very happy to pay for the NEEDED repairs and nothing more. Two thumbs up from me!

Guy came looked at the bathroom, agreed it needed an overhaul, listened to our idea and said 'yes I can do that in 6 weeks for about $15k.' No design help. No ideas. No suggestions. It felt a lot like what I'd expect from a 'free estimate' visit.

It was a waste of money !!

It was not very good. Another guy came but the description of service was different from the service provider. We didn't see any design whatsoever. He came to do something different than what's in Angie's List.

DID NOT GET CONTACTED BY PROVIDER... WOULD NOT WANT REMODEL DONE BY SUCH A PROVIDER.

It has always gone well when we hire this company to do our remodels. We will continue to do business with Luis Jones in the future. He provides good work in a timely matter. He pays attention to detail and although he is very busy at times , he always calls to make sure everything is going as planed with his team and customers as well. We love this bathrooms he has done for my Mother and She is more than satisfied with the dramatic changes. Thank you once again J&L
