It was good.

First, I'm a Civil Engineer and I’m picky, opinionated, and have very high standards. High Desert is absolutely one of the best contractors I’ve ever worked with. Tony is talented and has great knowledge of his industry, but he’s the owner so he’s not on site all day when work is being done. He relies on his staff - who are on-site all day - to take care of the vast majority of the details. This is the point at which a business either fails to deliver (usually the case) or fully delivers. Tony’s staff, specifically the lead ace named Jesus, exceeded all expectations as he’s a good communicator, he’s passionate about his designs, and he’s a good leader. The crew as a whole were punctual, very polite and respectful of both people and property, efficient and hard-working, knowledgeable of the work they were doing, and they were extremely clean (again, I am very picky… I didn’t see one stray wrapper or piece of scrap lying around anywhere, and I can confidently say it was the cleanest, most well-kept project site I have ever been around). The final product is better than I hoped it would be and the price was fair. I look forward to working with these guys in the future when I need maintenance!

Jose arrived promptly at noon Friday 2/19. I told him everything i needed done. He said the person who emailed the estimate was out of the office on an emergency and I would get the estimate sometime late Monday or Tuesday. I explained that I was going out of town and I would like to make a decision that weekend or by early Monday. He said he would talk to his supervisor, get the estimate and give me the total over the phone. He never contacted me. Monday, 2/22, I called High Desert at 10:15 am. The man who answered seemed concerned and said he would contact Jose for the figures and call me. It is now 3 pm and I have not heard from them. I consider High Desert Landscaping to be completely unreliable and unprofessional. They should have at the very least called me to let me know why they were not doing what they said they would do. I can not do business with High Desert Landscaping.

They worked on about 1300 square feet. It went very good. They completed the job in two days. Nine men were on the job both days. They were very flexible and worked with us to make sure we were happy. I would tell a friend or family member if they were thinking of hiring them that they would get good value for their money.

I contacted high desert via email to get a quote for our backyard makeover on August 7th. I promptly received a response the same day and scheduled for Tony to come out on Friday of that week. Tony was prompt and sounded like he really knew what he was doing, took lots of pictures and promised to get back to us. Waited and waited... Finally emailed them on the 27th of August to get an update.. The next day got a call back from them scheduling an appt on Friday- the 30th at 430. No one showed.... However, Anthony did show up on Monday, sept2nd with 2 photos.... By that time we felt like we were definitely put on the back burner and thought... I were treated like this when were just making an appt, imagine how we'd be treated if we go with them. We decided to pass...

Nothing in particular stood out about them and I have not yet decided what I am going to do. Their quote was satisfactory and maybe I would consider using them in the future.

Outstanding and quick

Tony and his crew were on time and completed the job on schedule. My front yard and back yard were disorganized ill-planted disasters. Now, thanks to Tony and crew, they are beautiful. Tony photo shopped pix of the existing yard with his proposals, so that I could get an idea of what the finished product would look like. I highly recommend High Desert Landscape and Design!
