We only called about the hot water tank but when he arrived the representative was able to give us an estimate on a sink disposal. He had one in his truck and had it in very quickly with high professionalism. We would definitely use this service in the future.

A/C now works. Blower motor was replaced along with board.

The experience was good. They were quick. They got the job done. I was pleased with them. This was 2 weeks ago. There was nothing we disliked. They were fast and did a good job.

Hawthorne Plumbing Heating Cooling treated my wife very well and very quickly. I worked with the landlord to inspect the work and the bill and we were pleased. They did good work. They are very professional. Hawthorne Plumbing Heating Cooling discovered what was really wrong. I give them a very positive recommendation.

Got routed to Hawthorne since my original service provider no longer is in business. Called before 8 this morning and it took till after 1 for someone to come out, but once he did, it was a pretty straightforward process. The replacement was a bit pricey, even with a 9 year warranty, but they said it would include all permits and inspections. Ivan, the service tech, was very nice nice and professional and completed the job in record time. He even included an air conditioner maintenance plan for a year. I would use Hawthorne again.

The free service became a costly experience. The service performer seemed knowledgeable, but he began to discover more and more things that he felt needed to either be replaced or serviced. If I followed all his recommendations, the service would have become more than I could afford. He did check all the water faucets, showers and toilets. He willingly answered all questions and provided information about other water and plumbing related issues. The cleanup left me puzzled. He removed a hot water valve, the pipe attached to the valve and the corroded fixture to the rod in the heater. He replaced what he removed. He installed a rod. He left the used valve and the corroded fixture on the ground near my garage but took the pipe. I have signed up to have my water heater checked again next year by Hawthorne. I'm wondering whether I've done the right thing.

The units were installed professionally and on-time.

We called our home warranty company and they sent Hawthorne Plumbing to give us a estimate to clear our pipes because they were full of resin from our water softener going bad. John the person that the home warranty company and Hawthorne Plumbing sent out told us our plumbing was not covered because the water softener caused the problem and the water softener is not covered by the warranty. We were not looking to have them do anything with water softener only to clear the plumbing. John gave us a estimate of $2560.00 which we have in writing. John with all his experience as a plumber said it would take a lot of work and time and also that he would have to replace 3 bathroom Moen faucets and rebuild 2 Moen shower valves. We called another plumbing company and they fixed all the faucets and the shower valves in less than 1 1/2 hours for a total of $142.50. In our opinion we feel that the home warranty company and Hawthorne plumbing are working together to take advantage of us elderly. Thank you for letting us share our experience so that no other people will have to deal with this type of situation.

They were a great company. They were very professional. I will use them again.

They quoted me $7500.00 for the two units. This sounded like a great deal. I took them up on the offer. He misrepresented his work. I had another company come and check the units. They had basically just charged me for two units with out connecting them to anything. They did refund my money.

The installer arrived on time. A pleasant and courteous young man. The installaltion took too many hours till 8:00 pm. I feel he was not as experienced or reaps he was just slow and unsure of of the job.

When they said he would courteous and clean.

Great experience overall. I would have loved for the price to be less but it was in the ballpark of what it costs for installation, etc.

Hawthorne was excellent. I am on a schedule for them to service my A/C.

This company is professional and in Las Vegas that is in short supply.

They showed up and did the job well. I was very pleased with this company. They were on time and had excellent follow up. Their consumer communications were excellent. I was always informed throughout the entire procedure. They did not try to over sell.

Owner of property was not present during service call but tenant at property advised that service representative was punctual and thorough with inspection.

Absolutely the worst experience in professional heating and plumbing in Las Vegas you could imagine. STAY AWAY from this company at all costs. They are bait and switch artists and will try to force you into a situation where they can get paid (more) for a new unit rather than handling the service call they were requested for. Long story short... 1. Water heater leaking in garage so Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating and Cooling called out by our home warranty service for emergency Sunday service call. 2. Representative from Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating and Cooling, Mr. Beau Adams, arrives at the home. He looks at the water heat for 30 seconds, confirms it is leaking and says, "I need to check the warranty on this unit". 3. After 30+ minutes sitting in his truck, Beau Adams from Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating and Cooling returns to inform me that a) although the unit itself is under warranty, b) although he has been called to the home under a home warranty, he CANNOT fix the unit until the next business day, Monday "because we have a warranty". He claims to have no access the warehouse on the weekends where these units are stored (are you too wondering why a weekend technician would NOT have access to the proper equipment on a weekends?). I could have probably lived with this until... 4. Mr. Beau Adams of Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating and Cooling says to me, "if you didn't have a warranty I could have this fixed for you today". Stunned, I repeat back to him to make 100% sure I understand correctly... he CANNOT fix our water heater BECAUSE it's under warranty yet at the same time he can fix it today if I DIDN'T have warranty? With a straight face he confirms yes this is the correct. In short he wanted to sell me a unit from them rather than handle the service request he was called out for. It is this type of ridiculous logic that deserves a boycott from any consumer (individual or otherwise). PS - adding insult to injury, Mr. Beau Adams who specifically promised to shop-vac the water out of the leaking basin ends of not doing at all and left saying he would be back tomorrow to fix the under warranty heater under the home warranty. I walked back in the house stunned and angry that there are companies that actually do business like this. In short, if you are looking for quality plumbing, heating and cooling with professional common sense service DO NOT use this company.

The service was excellent, reception at initial contact call was great! The repairmen were neat, clean, polite and informative and I was comfortable having them in home. Will use again without question! The costs were well within limits concerning all that was performed.

I called american home shield home warranty at 2 am about my water heater, they say that hawthorne plumbing will call me the next day. at 8am hawthorne called and by 10 am they had there service man (alex) at my home to do the installation. Alex did a great job. BEST SERVICE I EVER HAD

The company was able to get someone out to me the same day! He wore shoe covers when he came into my house. Both toilets were taken care of quickly and professionally and he told me about an eco-friendly preventative maintenance product (Drain Maid) which I purchased for $60 that treats your drains once a month. He also told me about a water filtration system (also eco-friendly) that I will purchase in the future since the water in the Las Vegas valley is some of the hardest water on plumbing systems.

I didn?t have to pay anything because I filled the insurance claim.

They diagnosed a seized compressor. I asked to replace the entire outside unit due to the age. Warranty paid for the compressor ($600) and I paid the difference ($2800). They had it installed in about 2 hours the next day. Derek was very nice and knowledgable for the diagnosis and replacement. He gave me a few options and I elected to just replace the outside unit. Quote was $3400 and I didn't get another quote (hot and they were able to replace it the next day). Seemed reasonable based on experiences at other homes in the past. System is working great and cools the air a lot better than the old unit (20-25 degrees cooler vs 10 with the old.) Have 2 systems and had the other one looked at yesterday (8/3/09). They quoted a new 3-ton American Standard unit (same manufacturer as Trane) for $2600 for the outside unit, so I guess I overpaid a bit with Hawthorne. I'm happy with the result and blame myself for not getting other quotes. I was happy with the service overall. Enough that I specifically requested them through the warranty company when my other unit acted up in July before the warranty expired.
