Description of Work: They replaced an outdoor faucet and did just fine. Then they checked the hot water heater and replaced the anode rod. Then they sold me a package deal to check my furnace and a/c annually. This was the ripoff! The provider said they would contact me that week to check out the furnace. They neither called or came!!

Description of Work: Called for water tank flush. He informed me that it was not needed right now regardless of the printed instructions which indicated that a flush should be done every six months. He stated that with a brand new tank 12 months is sufficient. He also stated that because of corrosion on the fittings around it that the water softener is not working properly and needs to be replaced. I called the installer of the water softener and he said that the softener is working just fine and does not require replacement. The pipes and fittings need replcement.

Description of Work: He did a valve replacement in the master shower for the agreed amount of $323 and helped me with additional problem, N/C. I would recommend Hawthorne to anyone AND whenever I need plumbing help again, I know who to call!

Description of Work: I has some bad valves under the kitchen sing. They replaced two of three. The valves and the quality os the word was very good, though the one valve that was not replaced was the worst one. Also I thought it was expensive for half an hour's work.

Description of Work: Fixed seal between tank & bowl. |Repair was fast once they showed up. Bought the $150 of services for $49, wanted tank seal fixed on one toilet and a minor snake job on another. Took three tries and Angies List involvement to get appointment scheduled once deal was purchased. Once tech arrived, tank leak was fixed but then they wanted another $150 to snake the other toilet. | |Talk about bait & switch! I got the other toilet snaked by Roto Rooter for $75. Estimates from other providers obtained since averaged about $25 for tank seal if tech was already present on another job, so by my calculation the $150 worth of plumbing repairs should have covered both repairs. Instead Hawthorne's total would have been $200 if I had forked over the requested additional $150. | |Be careful of these folks...they did fix one thing, but then tried to gouge me for the second. The repair that was done was done well.
