 + -1 moreThe flush was so weak. I didn't know if anything could be done. David took a look, determined that a replacement with a better toilet could solve the problem. The problem was that the space allowed was smaller than standard so a special toilet and tank would be needed. He got the special toilet installed it and problems solved. Happy customer.
Description of Work: I was dissatisfied with the performance of the toilet in my recently purchased condo. I checked out plumbers on AL and called Half Price.

 + -1 moreExcellent. He stayed to repair my mess and I know it was not an easy job. I, unfortunately had this done 5-19-17 and forgot to do the review as requested numerous times. I would rehire him again. He helped me when my back was up against the wall. Someone else may have taken advantage of the situation. I DO NOT feel he did at all.
Description of Work: I tried to replace a part which was provided by MOEN faucets for original home owners. However, I needed a REAL tool and not the piece of plastic to replace a cartridge in 2 locations in my home. I ended up buying and installing a NEW faucet for the kitchen as I could not get the part out as per instructions and plastic part provided disintegrated. The second was a complete failure on a cartridge in a shower mixer which broke the end of the stub off which controls the on/off and temp. of water. I called Half Price Plumber who brought the correct tools but the stem was broken therefore he needed to replace the entire brass fitting inside the wall w/o decent access due to me having mangled the part. The space to do so and connect the water lines again and solder was done about the size of a big saucer! A warning to all do it your self types like me. GET THE REAL METAL TOOL if Moen sends you a plastic cartridge remover!

 + -1 moreEverything went perfectly. I scheduled David a couple of days in advance and he notified me that he was on his way and he arrived within the 2 hour window that he gave. He drained and removed the faulty water heater and professionally installed the new one. He brought new hoses and a drain pan and he really paid attention to detail. He is obviously an expert. This is the third time that I have hired David and I highly recommend him to anyone with a plumbing problem. He is a very nice gentleman and a pleasure to deal with.

 + -1 moreCalled this plumber when our kitchen faucet broke. I had to shut the water off at the street because it was leaking. Thank god we didn't purchase the offer here to commit to this company. He was to come out the next day, late afternoon to give a quote (and probably do the job.). Try taking quick showers and only flushing the toilet once because the water is off. 5 minutes before the plumber is to come out, he calls and won't be able to make it out untill Saturday! Yes, 5 minutes! 3 days total being inconvenienced with the water situation. This was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional in my book. Don't overextend yourself if you can't handle the workload! Called another plumber who was at my house an hour after I hung up the phone. Maybe paid a little more than this plumber, but money well spent! In conclusion, if you need service fast and don't want to be just another Angie's List job, don't use this company.

 + -1 moreDavid arrived right on time and I showed him where I needed help. He quickly went to work to remove the old faucet and reverse osmosis water system. He found the old faucet extremely stubborn to remove and the old R.O. system a bit of a snap to extract. The easy stuff was now complete. The fun started with the installation of all the new equipment. Along with the difficulty of working in a tight and narrow space to connect the faucets (sink & R.O.) it turned out Dave needed to retrofit all the connection devices to make everything leak tight. What turned out to be a two hour job turned into a five hour marathon. The good news is that Dave won and we have a sharp looking kitchen faucet and great tasting water from our R.O. system.
