They did a pretty good job. They came out and did a good job. The cockroaches did not come back.

It didn't turn out well. The deal was supposed to be for $197 and they'd get rid of the pigeons. The guy called me up and said he couldn't do it for $197, that he wanted $400. I paid the $400, the guy came out once and sprayed a little something around and split and the pigeons went nowhere. I called and said this was not going to work and he came back out and fiddled around a little more and we still have pigeons. I got nothing for my money. He wasn't really willing to do anything for 179. I don't live in this property, it's a rental property and I haven't talked to the people about it in the last month so maybe they came back and did something. They just didn't get rid of the birds. In the mean time they called me up and were all snotty about how I could be negative about them. I said, I paid to get rid of the birds and the birds are still there, what did I get for my money? They accused me of threatening them to be negative. I was going to fill out a full negative report. I did actually call and they told me that I had to go through some rigmarole on the computer or whatever and I never got to doing it. So I'm not real happy with Angie's List and this group of people. You can call Goldstar and find out if they actually got rid of the birds or if they are planning to get rid of the birds. They are just too bad. They are homing pigeons so I don't know what you have to do to get rid of homing pigeons but obviously their name says it all. They are going to want to come home so you got to do something to keep the birds away. Meanwhile my roof has got this poop all over it and I can't imagine how that's going to help anything. They didn't do what they said they were going to do and it cost twice as much or more than they said it was going to cost. They basically put a price out there and were not willing to do anything for it.

My experience with Goldstar Services was before I became a member of Angie's List. Had I waited to become a member of Angie's List first, I could have saved some money by using the special discount they are offering. But, we didn't mind paying a little extra because the service we received was definitely worth it. When I met Eric, he explained in detail, the steps he was going to take to fix my problem. Then he went to work right away. He said if we continued having pigeon problems he would be happy to come back. But, to be honest that one time did it for us. We saw the pigeons "trying" to come back. But, whatever he did seem to make them so uncomfortable that they decided to move on to someplace else. We were totally impressed with this because a few years ago, I remember my neighbor having a pigeon problem. I wish we could have known about Goldstar Services back then because she seemed to have new pigeon removal people out to her home every week for about a month or more. I expected Goldstar would have to visit us a few times. But, that one time seemed to do the trick. I know I wouldn't use anyone else.

I bought a package for pigeon abatement.The up sale began when I called to schedule. Provider arrived late and the up sale continued before he got on the roof. I ended up paying him a few extra hundred dollars. Whatever he did fixed the problem. It's 3 years later & I haven't had any problems.

A month passed I still had pigeons and the mess. I called left a message NO return call. I paid a large sum of money but there are pigeons roosting & laying eggs. My neighbor asked Us about the pigeon problems here and I told him we had tried but couldn't get any response. I will never use this company ever again. I should have known when he hinted how far away we lived and his extra expenses for his vehicle. I have another service and the pigeons are dying because it seems pigeons born there will not leave. Anyway it goes I have no desire to speak with Gold Star And I think a name change is in order...gold star implies excellence but you can't prove it by me.

There was about a one week wait to schedule the actual work after they came out to do the initial assessment. There was some confusion about what work had been agreed on as the person who arrived at my home told my son that he did not know what work he was supposed to do, despite the fact that I had reviewed everything with the office manager via telephone the day before. I told my son to have the guy call his office. There was also confusion about doing some extra work beyond what I had agreed on; the work was done despite the fact that I hadn't agreed to it. The company did make it right by not charging me for the extra work though, which I felt was a professional response to the situation.

Goldstar was quick, efficient and worth the cost. I had a new house I had just bought and was told their might be a pigeon next on the upper roof. After calling several companies, Eric and his team were the most responsive to scheduling a date and coming out for me. That morning Eric came first to check out the area. We discussed options and what his team would do (truthfully, he could have sold me on more), but he was honest and only sold me what I needed. After pressure washing the roof and getting rid of the nest, his team put up some caging which matched the color of my house perfectly (so the HOA wouldn't complain) and put down some reflective tape in certain areas so the pigeons wouldn't come back. Eric and his team were quick and professional. I did not get another estimate as I thought the price was right for the service he was offering from my own research. I would recommend Goldstar to anyone looking for a quality pigeon control company.

The word we would describe Goldstar Services and Eric Stolz is EXCELLENT! We own a 2,200 sf. single story residence and were having serious issues with Pigeons and their droppings. In doing our research through Angies List, we contacted Goldstar Services and left a message. Eric promptly returned our call and we set up an appointment for him to access our situation. He was punctual for our appointment and did a complete survey of our roof. When Eric was finished with his assessment, he showed us pictures of the condition of our roof. He then reviewed his suggested work of where he would install galvanized wire mesh screens (color matched to the roof tiles), reflective Mylar tape and possible bird spikes and quoted us his price to do the work. We decided to go with Goldstar Services and scheduled a date and time. On the scheduled date, Eric contacted us early in the morning by text that he was on his way with his assistant Jimmy. They arrived promptly at 7:45 a.m. and went right to work. Eric discussed with us what they were going to do first. It was an amazing job from start to finish. They vacuumed roof and surrounding areas and cleaned pigeon debris away. They then proceeded to sanitize and power wash entire roof, and all concrete ground areas. They installed the wire mesh screens (matched to the roof tile color) where the pigeons had been roosting and 6 strips of 6 foot long Mylar reflective tape. The job was completed in about 5 hours. They left our exterior immaculate with no debris. We could tell that they take pride in their quality of work. Eric asked us to call him in a few weeks so he could come back and see how the pigeon control methods were working. That shows us he wants complete customer satisfaction.

The owner and staff were professional, accomplished what they said they would do, and were congenial. I have not had any pigeon problems since the work was done.

It went well, except I still have pigeons on my roof. Not as many but still an issue. I would actually have paid more to make sure the problem would be taken care of 100%. I would have at least had them put a few metail pieces up while they were up on the roof. Oh well. They did ok for what we paid.

I am not sure if I got rid off the pigeon but its seems is helping

Performed pigeon clean-up, but required more money to ensure pigeons would not come back. I asked for photographs to prove completion of the repairs, but it was not provided.

I had a problem with pigeons nesting in my eve and pooping on the front of my house. They arrived on time. Cleaned up the mess and installed a wire device so that the birds could not get in my eves. They also put spikes on my roof where they sit. The birds have moved down the street. I was very satisfied with the service. Very nice men that I recommend you use.

He came at 7:45 and worked until 12 :30 to clean the damage caused by the pigeons. It has so far been successful, no more pigeons are roosting on our roof. The installation of the low view galvanized fencing and reflective tape seems to have deterred the pigeons from settling on our roof.

19 Jun 2015: Bought Angie's List Big Deal. 22 Jun 2015: Called by Marla Bube indicating Eric Stoltz here, Tuesday, 30 Jun 2015. 30 Jun 2015: Eric came as scheduled. Went over work to be done. He also checked the net on our roof and found it was torn and needed to be replaced. He carries black netting, but mu HOA needed it to be beige to match the house. He indicated he do the work when the net arrives. 01 Jul 2015: Called by Marla. She indicated the net would cost $250 and would take a week to get. When they get the net, they will schedule the work. 09 Jul 2015: Called by Marla. The net had not arrived, so they contacted the manufacturer who would send it by overnight service. She indicated the work would be done early next week. 11 Jul 2015: Called by Marla and left a message, indicating that the net had arrived and they wanted to schedule the work for Monday, 13 Jul 2015. I called Eric and left him a message that Monday was fine with us. 13 Jul 2015: Eric and assistant arrived at 720 a.m. Work was completed in about 4 hours. COMMENT: I was disappointed by how long it took to get the work done. That I why I only gave them a B for an Overall rating and a C for responsiveness. If they work had be done in what I feel should have been a more timely manner, they would have gotten all A's.

Very responsive and reliable. Came on time for initial appointment. Scheduled work within a few days. Performed work efficiently. Eric is professional, courteous and knows his pigeons! Very, very pleased. Thank you Eric and Angies List!

It took a couple of visits and I still hear pigeons sitting in my chimney from time to time but I guess that is to be expected for a while. Overall the situation has improved.

They were supposed to come for an estimate and work on Saturday, May 30th between 11 and 2 and they did not come until close to 4. However, the person that came was very professional and gave me suggestions and a good estimate. They were able to come the next day to complete the work and completed it by the time I came home from work. They ended up being very professional. I would definitely work with them again.
