Description of Work: Air conditioner tune-up. |Technician adjusted coolant level(was too high),checked and cleaned the exterior |and attic units and offered good advice on filters and filter change cycles. |Good experience - I have recommended this company to friends and neighbors.

Description of Work: We have used their services before and are happy with their work but did not appreciate their $ 350+ quote to vacuum a lite layer of dust in the heating unit and seal the surrounding wall next to the unit. I felt that a little excessive. We were able to complete that cleaning and sealing in less than an hour.

Description of Work: An Angie's list promotion for furnace inspection was initially purchased for $49. Easy to schedule, arrived in time window agreed, technician extremely professional. During inspection, technician found capacitor out of spec, recommended replacement for about $170. I have indicated that I would use this provider again, as all of the work was performed as specified, including the replacement. | |However, there's a little something bothering me about this. Had I called these guys out for a service visit (separate from the Angie's list promotion), they have a diagnostic fee they will charge, if you don't complete the work they recommend, which is pretty standard. If you do complete the work, you pay the job fee only, not the diagnostic, which is also pretty standard. It seems to me that a similar consideration could be made for the inspection fee, since they diagnosed additional services required. My fault for not asking at the time, but seems that would have been more fair on the price. (In other words, a partial or complete consideration of the "inspection" fee if other work is performed and billed.) | |Separately, after the service is complete, they will pitch to you an annual maintenance agreement for 2 annual visits (HVAC and heating), which includes a 15% discount on parts should a repair be needed. After thinking about this, the annual fee would otherwise be what I would pay for 2 inspections a year at full price. Maybe there's some benefit in the discount for big repairs, but if that's your concern, a home warranty with a fixed deductible is going to be better protection that this. I would imagine some people would prefer to have control of the vendor, so in that case, this might be a good choice. | |Summary: If you were to book an inspection at full price, you'd certainly get a reputable result from these guys. However, there are other well rated vendors on Angie's List that are a little more competitively priced on their full price "service visit", so if you're not facing an emergency, pricing comparison is recommended.

Description of Work: We were scheduled for a check-up of our heating system on their semi-annual service agreement. The tech said the system wouldn't stay on and needed service (for an additional $89). When I asked what the service contract was for, he said it only applied to working systems and that to get it working was the reason for the $89 fee. Every time I have had Aire-Serve out it has always cost Extra for a part or service. I'm not sure I'll use them again after the current agreement expires.

Description of Work: Ran new thermostat wiring from units to t-stats so that we could use more modern units. Work was performed as expected, but technician showed up the day after they were supposed to, did not call when appointment was missed to let us know.

Description of Work: Air Serve replaced the existing outside compressor unit and the air handler A coil. Replaced all external electrical boxes, flushed system, and got it running. Very pleased with the purchase, service, and performance.

Description of Work: I asked them to evaluate my Air condition. I was having trouble getting my Home warranty Co. to honor the contract. I felt they gave me an honest assessment.

Description of Work: We purchased a multi-point inspection and tune-up for our air conditioning unit. The technician arrived on time, did his job professionally, and left. We were very happy with the company and the technician.

Description of Work: It went good. Just couldn't use this deal because it didn't apply to what we needed.

Description of Work: Restored power to AC unit from a faulty cutoff switch. |Had the same problem back in July 2014. Loose wire to power unit $282, and again in November 2013 same problem no power to unit $183 charge. Why lost of power 3X in a year on a loose wire. Are you serious?
