Description of Work: First they came out and inspected my air conditioner. It was a 30 year old unit so I knew it was only a matter of time till it had to be replaced. It had died completely. The guy doing the inspection gave me a quote around 10:30 am and by 4 pm they had a work crew and even a crane out to do the work. Everything was done by 6:30 pm

Description of Work: Aire Serv service man came out at midnight because our air conditioner was blowing hot air. I was really pleased to hear they had repairmen who worked all night. My Mom is 88 years old and I was concerned about her in the heat. Service man replaced the condenser fan motor and our air was back on by 2 am.

Description of Work: The inspection was good from my understanding with my wife. Our A/C units always have a loud banging noise when the units turn off and on, so we were concerned. We saw the deal on Angie's list and decided to have them looked at. Apparently our systems were in good enough shape, but to fix that problem it would have cost a couple thousand dollars. We declined the service and running as normal. Less than 60 days later, our downstairs A/C went out. We called home warranty and they fixed it. We were told there was a leak and zero freon. I can't imagine that in less than 60 days that would happen after a clean bill of health...

Description of Work: The A/C wasn't cooling. The tech said the fan motor and starter were out. He replaced both parts and everything is working like it should now!

Description of Work: Our heat pump stopped working for our casita. We had been using this company for maintenance service on our heat pump and air conditioners, so I called them to see what was going on with our heat pump (air conditioner unit). He was able to get it working again, but didn't know how long it would last, because it was leaking oil. We decided to invest in a new heat pump rather than worrying about the old one quitting on us again. I checked Angie's List for air conditioner companies and researched as much as I could on heat pump reviews and company reviews. It was very difficult to find information, because there was good and bad reviews on all heat pumps/air conditioners and companies combined. Pricing is very high for new units too. We had been using Aire Serv and called them to see their price for a new heat pump and Jerome was very helpful in making us feel comfortable in the pricing and choices that we had for a new pump. He also gave us two choices of units, which he recommended either were good companies and units. We decided on a 2 ton Aire-Flow by Lennox, because it was a little smaller unit in size. Mark and a helper came up a few days later and replaced our old unit for the new one and the job was completed in about 2 hours. The unit looks great and runs great so far, so I hope we made a good choice. I am happy working with Aire Serv and we will continue using their service in the years to come.

Description of Work: I called them first thing in the morning, and they had a technician at our house by early afternoon to figure out what was wrong with our system. His first impression was that we'd need to replace our compressor, but he spent *hours* checking every other possible thing in the hopes that it'd be a less expensive fix for us. In the end, he found a small but unfixable leak in the compressor, and took the extra time sitting in the heat for the freon to recollect there so I could be there when the system turned on and pushed it out of the leak so I could hear his freon detector go off. He gave a charge of freon so we'd at least be able to be cool until the next day when it could get replaced. Two other technicians came the next afternoon and replaced the compressor , as we had to go out of state the day after that and couldn't wait on the service being completed. They were later than they had said they would be, but that was because they were coming from the opposite end of the valley and hit horrible traffic. They were polite, professional and I would use the company again with no hesitation.
